I’m not necessarily the best person to ask whether or not Chinese food is good, as I’m not a huge fan of chicken, or the way beef is cooked in Chinese restaurants. However, Golden Gate has the BEST crab rangoons and egg drop soup. My fiancé claims this to be the best Chinese food he’s found since we moved back from Kalamazoo. The people here are extremely sweet, as well. I’d say give this place a shot.

My favorite Chinese restaurant in the area, hands down! The Almond Boneless Chicken with fried rice is a must and so is the Imperial Garlic Chicken. My family always orders extra egg rolls because they have the perfect crispy outside and flavorful filling on the inside. Mr. and Mrs. Wong are always so friendly when we come in.

Very good food– love ordering from them because my take out is always ready within 10 – 15 mins, and the woman who usually takes my order is very nice!

BEST! I have no complaints! I’ve been going here for takeout for almost 20 years, and I’ve never had a bad experience.

I frequent this place for carry out, because it’s close to home. Some of the best«Americanized» Chinese food around. Mostly carryout, but they do have some tables for dining in. I’d say it’s above average for a small, independent Chinese restaurant.

I’ve been going to this place since the mid 90’s. It is the quintessential Chinese food place. I’ve moved to the west coast, but this is one of my favorite places to get food when I am in town.

This is one of my favorite Chinese joints in the area… I’ve been going here for over 15 years. Give the Special House Lo Mein and Cashew Chicken a whirl.

Golden Gate is a classic old school chinese restaurant. It looks like it’s been around for a while and probably has a few loyalists. Unfortunately my meal was below average. The fried rice was mushy with cubes of an unidetifyable processed meat. The veggies in the Gai Kow were overcooked and also very mushy with little to no flavor. Overall there was nothing terrible about Gai Kow but there was nothing to love either. I think it’s time for chinese restaurants to evolve. I always thought of Chinese as the healthy take-out when I was a kid. Today most of it is worse than fast food. I want chinese with less grease, less salt, and more flavor. Something like Pei Wei but better and more local.

This WASMY place for Chinese Food for many years. They cut back on ingredients and the quality is just not as good. There are some seats, but’ it is in a strip mall and does mostly carryout.
