Yes I am a regular customer, I have dined here since they opened. It doesn’t matter where you sit, you will have great service and a great meal. One of my favorite, most interesting items on the menu is the grilled romaine salad. Top it with some shrimp and you have a wonderful light dinner. The Brewery also sets the standard for Caesar salad, the best! If you are in the mood for a great steak, get the cowboy steak, and prepare to be impressed. They have a new chef that is bringing some new and delicious choices, and the menu included many of the original favorites, but I do miss the big twice baked potato. The new potato casserole is good, it’s just not the same. PS, this is not a brewery LOL, many people are confused by the name, they have bottled beer, great bottles of beer from many great breweries, so ASK and you will get a treat. They have been around over 35 years for a reason, they know how to treat people right.

Went there last Saturday and it was crowded but that was expected. We were told 50 minute wait and we were okay with that and headed to the bar. There were several empty seats and just as we were going to sit, we noticed a reserved sign. Huh??? Never heard of that before and the hostess said it’s the bar policy, not theirs. ??? The food was good but don’t think we’ll wait again.

I am not sure why this place is called«The Brewery» when they do not have any draft beer. They only have bottled beer which seems like the opposite of a brewery. Anyways… The restaurant is nice and the staff was friendly but between the deceptive name of the restaurant and the over priced food, I would say this place is decent. I ordered the pork chops and a twice baked side. The waitress asked if I wanted a soup or salad but failed to mention the salad was $ 5 more. And that was on top of the $ 25 for the meal(which is also a la carte). I do not appreciate when servers do not mention the extras so they can bump up the bill for a larger tip. This is very tacky and unprofessional. The food was good. The pork chips were good and the twice baked side was great. However it was nothing special. The bill came out to be $ 100 for 2 people not including tip. To me that is insane for a meal that is just ok. Long story short, I will not be going back to the only brewery that doesn’t have draft beer.

Nice building. Waitstaff a bit uppity. Small portions. I ordered the Pecan Chicken. NO pecans.(Sajo’s has good Pecan Chicken) Tiny chicken portions. Salad was good My brother got the perch. That fish must have fed 5 customers.. Eat lots of bread or you will leave hungry… Pricey for what you get. Not a brewery. Used to be a nice place but must have changed hands.

1st time at this place on Saturday 11÷21÷15, when we got hit with 6 – 8 inches. Walked in to the joint and saw the first snow storm of the season didn’t keep anyone away. It was 7:30 and packed. Good sign. Was promptly seated since we had reservations(after seeing this place, I would recommend always having reservations). Started with a glass of the H3 Cab Sav, and proceeded to have 3 glasses since it was so smooth — should’ve ordered a bottle! Although it took Maria, our server, a hot minute to greet us, that was all forgotten because she was a great server. She directed us through the menu since it was our first time. We started with the ‘Saganaki’ & Hummus plate that was served with Naan. Although it tasted good, I will not be ordering this again. The cheese wasn’t flaming(not a big deal), but it was breaded & deep fried. From the consistency of the cheese, it could’ve been left in the fryer a good minute more. We just sort of cut it to eat it, rather than stretch and gather. And the«Naan» was straight up pita bread. Like I said, it was good, but I wouldn’t order it again or recommend it to others who are looking for gooey, flaming cheese with Naan. The white bean & bacon soup was delicate for a bean soup. The beans didn’t over power the rest of the ingredients, and you could actually smell & taste the bacon! Side salad was par for the course. I had the most divine lamb chops, perfectly seasoned and cooked! The sauteed spinach & feta that came with it, was also the bomb. This will certainly be a dish I will crave for. He had the diver scallops and roasted sweet corn risotto. That too was delicious. We finished it off with the molten lava cake, and I had to stop myself from licking the plate! Great food & service. This will be a regular visited establishment!

Don’t let the name throw you. This is a large, comfortable family restaurant, a great place for an intimate meal or a large party. The food is fresh, presented in a pleasant fashion, and tasty. I had shrimp fettuccine and it was great.

I have lived near the brewery all my life and I can honestly say that anytime there is something to be celebrated in my family, we go there! As I stated before, I have been going to the brewery for years but my most recent experience was a great as well as the others. The menu changes every time I am there, which sometimes can be a bummer because if there was something in particular you liked and wanted to get again, you’re outta luck(unless maybe you can describe the dish to your server who can in turn ask the chef if the dish is replicable??) other than that, the menu change is kind of a good thing because it forces me to try something new each time I am there. A highlight would be the vast wine list and the calamari! Oh my gosh, their calamari is FINGERANDPLATE licking good! I ordered the seafood scampi I believe it was called and it was honestly remarkable. the scallops and shrimper were cooked just right, not too rubbery or tough! Only thing that cheapened the experience(for my father, not me) was the fact that our waitress overheard our conversation and actually chose to comment on it, but it was not offensive, I enjoy friendly servers who engage in conversation – makes the visit feel less serious. But, i am also a server and understand how it can feel kind of robotic to strictly take orders from tables. Either way, the food is great and is a family favorite. I would recommend it for anyone who is looking to celebrate, or it also would make for a great date night :) the prices are high but the quality is there so it’s justifiable!

This is my favorite restaurant. It has been consistently good for so many years. I know when I go that things will taste exactly like they did the last time I was there. The perch is my favorite. Perfect every time. Breadbasket is good, and they have a nice house chardonnay that is priced right. The service is always good. Both lady bartenders that have been there for years are wonderful!

Went to restaurant for our Anniversary dinner. We hadn’t been to the restaurant for about a yr, but in the past, birthdays and other special occasions were celebrated there. I LOVED their scallops and was very disappointed the way the scallops are served now! As posted by another reviewer, in June 2014, you were served 6 sauteed scallops with melted butter and they were AWESOME! Fast forward to yesterday, and you receive 4 scallops that are seared and have very little taste, served over Sweet Corn Parmigian Risotto. It was all very bland and overpriced. My husband had the lamb chops and he had no complaints, but we went there expecting the scallops that they used to serve. Not sure we will be back :(

The Brewery’s website states very clearly and prominently that they are open on Sundays at 3:30pm. However, when I arrived, there was a sign on the door stating that they are not open Sundays during the summer. Their food and service may or may not be great. I’ll never know. If a restaurant in this day and age can’t be bothered to update the hours on their website, then clearly attention to detail is not one of their strengths. Details make a big difference.

After a several year hiatus, my husband and I resumed dining here about a year ago. Neither of us can remember why we stopped coming here; it possibly just fell off of our radar. Many of our friends say the same thing, «The Brewery? We haven’t been there in years!» The bar section has several booths and is modern, lively and comfortable. The two other dining sections seem quite outdated and we avoid them if we can get a table in the bar. The servers are all so friendly, confident and helpful. We have our favorites but, honestly, we haven’t had a bad server yet. Surprisingly, the owner seems very standoffish. We have tried to make small talk while he decants our wine, to no avail. Although he must notice we are somewhat regulars, he still doesn’t even smile when he passes our table. We have tried several appetizers but do not have a favorite. The salad, however, is a different story: The grilled romaine salad with feta cheese, roasted corn and tomatoes is heaven. The tangy dressing and slightly charred taste on the romaine is such a great combination. I love it! As far as entrees go, the short rib is fall-off-the-bone tender and seasoned perfectly. You cannot find a better short rib in this area. Period. I even mention The Brewery’s short rib in my review for Top of the Pontch — it’s that good. If we’re feeling especially hungry, we’ll order a side of mac & cheese(yes, that’s in addition to the mashed potatoes that come with my short-rib!). OMG, it’s so good! My husband has tried several different steaks and is always pleased. As far as I’m concerned, the prices here are comparable to the quality and quantity of the meal. The lady reviewer who was shocked to pay $ 130 for two meals should dine in lower end establishments.

Dinner for Two = $ 130! I don’t usually write bad reviews about places because I think a lot of negative reviews are very single sided… However, I felt compelled to drop my two cents here only because of the price to value ratio. Ate here last night for a good date night dinner and it got off to a horrible start right from the beginning. We had reservations and arrived a few minutes early but were told that it would be a couple of minutes. No big deal, until a couple of minutes turned into 30 minutes later and we watched as over 10 parties were sat ahead of us — 4 of which walked in with no reservation. Ok getting past that frustration, we moved on to drinks and food. Waitress was very nice, not real personable, but not a bad attitude by any means. Her memory of what we ordered on the other hand needed quite a bit of work. Drinks were often forgotten and the add-on lobster tail I ordered came out about 10 minutes after my main entrée. The food itself is my biggest complaint… If you enjoy a salt lick, you’ll love this place. Now I am a big fan of salt and usually don’t have any problems with foods high in salt, but our appetizer(Spinach and Artichoke Dip) was loaded with so much salt that my husband couldn’t even eat it. I could definitely taste the salt, but the flavor wasn’t completely overpowering — we only ate about ½ of it. Usually when this happens, doesn’t wait staff typically ask if everything was ok with the meal — maybe not, but seems to be a normal experience. For dinner, I ordered the whitefish with a side of lobster tail(which was forgotten — as stated above). The whitefish was like eating straight salt — it was not even edible .I tried suffering through it and drinking lots of tea to help disguise it, but just couldn’t force myself to do it. When the lobster tail finally came out — you can tell that they tried to cook i quickly because it was burnt! All of the above complaints could be because the cook was too busy wandering around the bar area or getting toothpicks from the front hostess station. I think I saw him more throughout the night than I did my own waitress… Odd! If I am going to spend over $ 100 on a dinner for two people, I not only expect edible food, but decent service and I just don’t feel like we got either. It’s a shame really because I remember eating her a few years back and we had a great experience. Not sure what happen, but fairly certain we will not be returning.

Was there again last night. Pretty much like my review of Mr Paul’s, all five star service and owned by the same family. Our waitress was Alyssa who was smiling and cute, just like her days at a different restaurant(JBaldwins). She knew the menu and had good recommendations for our group of four. We started with the mussels and the calamari. This was followed by lamp chops, steak salad, chicken and I forgot what our fourth had. Prices are very reasonable with great service. Highly recommended for families yet also work dinners it can handle it all.

I have been going to this place for over 15 years. Absolutely amazing! The filet melts in your mouth. The cowboy is my boyfriends favorite go to steak! French onion soup is great as well. I have sent several friends here over the years and every single couple has agreed that this place is well worth the money!

Don’t really understand why people rate this place less than 5stars! The ambiance is great, the food selection is perfect, the amount and quality of food is outstanding. My better half and myself had(her) veal Marsala and(myself) white fish-both were presentations picture perfect(should have taken pics-will next time) and the quality was the best. Did I mention the drinks-great pours. Ok yes we like the drinks! Bottom line: great place, great food, great drinks. Is it pricey$ yes but you pay for what you get. I think it’s a perfect place for either a special occasion or well you know. Belly nice and full.

This place is seriously a hidden treasure. Lovely staff. Amazing service. Lobster, Oyster Rockefeller my daughter can’t get enough of. Prime rib with blue cheese and caramelized onions was absolutely delicious. Bread is wonderful. Sanders on tap for dessert, that’s a total win. I can’t believe I thought this place was a bar. It’s simply one of the areas best dining experiences! Color me impressed!

I haven’t been here in nearly a decade. I work a lot if nights, and when I’m off I rarely like to dine out; specifically at places where I run into people I know. This is definitely the neighborhood upscale place for great food, so I always run into people(and let’s be honest, it’s not a day or night off when you have to talk with people you hardly know, but know enough not to be rude to). That being said, it was nice to come back to a place that reminds me of my childhood. Let’s start off with what’s new. The remodel is definitely more modern, but call me nostalgic, bc I loved the old décor much more. The food was just as wonderful tonight as it was when we used to come once or twice a month growing up. Succulent Twin Lobster Tails, delicious escargot, crusty bread, and tender meats. The owners haven’t lost their touch, which is great food in a beautiful atmosphere. I’ll be returning much more frequently in the future.

I can’t explain why this place is at 3.5÷5, but I will tell you that the people giving this place low scores need their head examined. Considering my lack of comprehension in math, I’ll never have a sufficient enough job to afford being able to come here often in my lifetime, but I really enjoy when I rarely get to have a «fancy» dinner. The Brewery, despite its horrifically random name, boasts some of the best food I have ever eaten. I’ve been here four times now I think, and I always tell myself to get something different, but that damn filet mignon is absolutely perfect. It’s cooked flawlessly throughout, the crust/char on the outside is mouthwatering, and the zip sauce they put on the plate? Well, I need to start asking for a bit extra. In a word, phenomenal. I also had shrimp bisque, a side salad with raspberry vinaigrette, and their macaroni and cheese — hey, I was hungry. I had never had a shrimp bisque before, but I would find it hard to believe one could be made better than the one at The Brewery. Shrimp was plentiful without turning the soup into a bowl of whole shrimp, the seasoning was spot on(perfect amount of salt), the texture was great… it was never too«rich». I could have had myself a quart of the stuff, it’s that outstanding. The side salad was about what I expected it to be. Of the times I’ve been here, I’ve not had a salad until now. It has a nice mix of vegetables in there with a single cherry tomato and cucumber slice. The raspberry vinaigrette *had* to have been made in-house, because the raspberry flavor was more pronounced and natural tasting than I get in anything from a bottle. Very fresh, enjoyable salad. For the fan of traditional macaroni and cheese, theirs would make you fall in love. It’s creamy with a lot of yellow cheddar… think a Velveeta-like sauce, but… one that tastes good and, I don’t know… REAL. The bread crumb topping is a nice touch as well that I like on my macaroni and cheese. I tend to prefer mac and cheese now that has a variety of cheeses and spices to make it more interesting, but for the kind of macaroni and cheese they were going for, they did great. As for the service, well, it’s right at the threshold of neaaarly being a bit too much. The water boys seem to be away from the table only half the time, as they’re constantly stopping by to fill you up. We went at 4pm as they were opening and were one of the few tables for most of the time we were there, but even after the place had filled, they were there often. I guess this sort of thing would be an annoyance to some, but I didn’t mind TOO much. All of the employees also come off as very nice and greet you upon entry and say goodbye as you leave. I know this sort of thing is typical in most restaurants, but it just sounds more… I don’t know… sincere here? I never got the feeling that I was looked down on or judged, and the workers didn’t seem to be uppity or anything of the sort. As I said, I don’t have myself a fancy meal often at all. Not just because I can’t afford it, but because I’m perfectly content with slapping down a ten dollar bill and stuffing my face with a nice juicy burger and some fries or onion rings… oh, and I’m not exactly the«classiest» sort of guy. I just feel out of sorts in an expensive restaurant. When I want to eat with my pinky out though, The Brewery is my choice. Sure, there are other options I haven’t been to, and they’re probably great, but I see no reason to NOT go to The Brewery, because they’re consistently great every single time.
