Miles Cake & Candy Supplies

Miles is a great resource for beginning and seasoned bakers/​candy makers alike. They have a lot of variety in the confection category– molds, tips, flavorings, the list goes on. I’m sad they are so far east, but it’s worth the drive when you really need quality supplies at a reasonable price.

I really enjoyed going to this place gives me a lot of inspiration for my baking and they have pretty much everything you need and they’re not as out dated as the other baking supply store that I will not mention their name…

Per the Miles Cake Supply website, store is moving to: Liberty Plaza, 44 885 Morley Drive in Clinton Twp. (off of Hall Road, west of Gratiot). This review pertains to the old store, but I’m sure their selection and stock will even improve with the new one!

This store has an excellent selection of anything you might need for cake making/​decorating (as well as cookies and other pastries) at reasonable prices. My mom – who had a small business making cakes for years – was even impressed with the breadth of their selection in all areas throughout the store, and that says a lot! :)
They have helpful little displays throughout the store with ideas of what to make, with product right next to them.
My only complaint – which will likely be remedied completely with the move – is that the old store is kind of cramped. They do have TONS of products and a very broad selection, so it seems like they’re doing the right thing by expanding.
Also, be sure to check out the very front of the old store (next to the entrance), where they have racks with bins full of sale and clearance merch. There’s lots of unique stuff that would add personality to what you make!
