I love this shop. It’s run by a local woman named Jan who is fabulous. She is sweet, hardworking, and often has a smile when you walk in the door.
Over the last few months I’ve learned a bit about Jan and her shop. See, all Washington Liquor stores used to be run by the State of Washington. A few years back we passed legislation that allowed big-​box stores to sell liquor and Washington State got out of the spirits industry.
The State ended up selling a lot of their stores to the people who managed them. This is the case with Jan. She bought all the product from WA state and continued running the store in the same spot.
Her location is a little off the beaten path, tucked away behind a health clinic. But it sure is worth the search. Jan is a sweetheart and is doing a great job keeping her shop running.
