5 stars for nostalgia! Growing up I had a good amount of birthday parties here as well as almost weekly pizza lunches on Fridays with my dad. I love their pizza-it’s oily and so cheesy and always well done. I also love their toasted turkey grinder-all other grinders are set up to fail in my book. Service is fast, the staff wonderfully surly at times but always familiar. Every time I return to Clinton I crave ordering from Jon’s. The décor is charmingly outdated.

This place is embodies everything that is simplicity. If you’re looking for a fancy pizza place to take the kids this isn’t your place… however, if you’re looking for some good food, a clean kitchen, smiling faces and a no fuss place to sit your bum down and eat … This place is it!

Best in town, and least expensive around. It’s not fancy and not meant to be. The have seats to eat inside, but really its a take out place. If you want service with a hug… well, you wont get it here. If you want great pizza and subs, this is it.

The subs and mushroom pizza were really good. If I ever pass through this town again, I’ll definitely have to stop in!

When it comes to pizza all I care about is taste. I live in Sterling where there are 3 pizza places very close to my home. I find that 99% of the time if I want pizza I am driving to Jon’s. The place needs to be remodeled and it would be nice if they delivered(though I doubt if they did it would help me in sterling) but their pizza is amazing and for that alone I give them 4 stars.

The hubby & I decided to give this place a try since a relative of ours raved about a sub they’d gotten from here a while back. Perhaps, back then, there was a better cook and better employees at this«business», but after our experience today, we will not give this place our time or money again. The subs that we ordered were nothing to write home about, and they definitely weren’t worth the almost $ 15 dollars that we payed for them… plus the $ 1 fee of paying for our food with a debit/credit card. I can say that the sub was edible– but you can get better subs elsewhere in town. Also, it’s certainly not kosher for the person behind the counter to grab our food and toss it on the counter just because we didn’t show up fifteen minutes after we placed the order.(We were 3 or 4 minutes late to pick up the food. There was no need for the woman behind the counter to say, «Well it’s about time» and pretty much give us the biggest attitude she could muster.) What crummy(and slightly expensive) food, and lousy customer service. This place doesn’t even deserve one star.

Its a pizza sub shop. I’m sure there are things on the menu better than other things. But for my personal taste, it was sort of lack luster.

My family has been going to Jon’s for 30+ years. My mom was excited to take me to the sandwich shop she loved as a kid, but was horrified at the rude service we received. Grinders are yummy but you need to be very specific with what toppings you want on it. If you say to put everything on it they will only put lettuce, tomato and onion on it; not everything else like you would expect. They are also verrrryyyyy rude. I’ve grown up in Virginia, and there is something to be said about New Englanders being rude. My whole family is from New England and we joke about it, but still when in a restaurant the customer shouldn’t be spoken to rudely no matter where you are from. Vegetarian options are nice. I will have another grinder from Jon’s but will send my grumpy grandpa to pick it up for me next time.

I went here for the first time last night. While not the fanciest pizza joint. Round it did have a certain charm. Old school paneling on the walls and a Missile Command game in the corner add to the retro charm. The pizza was very good the crust was a deep dish style, but was still crisp. I have not had any like this before. They also offer vegetarian toppings like Prosage that were very good.
