So good! Fresh lobsters, literally pulled from the water! Perfect lunch spot for a sunny day– sit outside on the patio, enjoy looking at the water. It’s super casual — order food and go find a table.

Good fresh New England lobster rolls right on the water. Brought my mom for a treat and she loved it. Very fresh and made to order, dockside makes it the special joint it is. Since her stroke it’s harder to get her out but this was well worth the effort. Somehow this was in my drafts and I just noticed it today. Ironic mom has since passed away, and is hopefully free to move about like a teenager.

THEBESTLOBSTERROLLINTHEWORLD. They gave me a tour of their 100 year old shack on the water and showed me the lobsters. I watched a boat come in, they take some of the lobsters to the boiling pot, and cook them. I cannot imagine a fresher lobster roll. The girls that served me were sweet, the service was fresh, and the food was so good it brought me to tears.

Never thought I would say this about a lobster roll since I usually prefer my food not drenched in butter, but I think they forgot it on mine… The roll itself was nicely buttered, but it seemed to be lacking entirely on the lobster itself. Came on a day when weather was not really conducive to sitting outside for a long time, but I can see it being a nice place to eat in summer.

Can’t say enough GREAT stuff about Lobster Landing. This is the best place on the CT shore for a lobster roll! We get ours to go most weekends when we’re at the shore camping. They use freshly baked rolls and serve up succulent pieces of lobster meat(from their own traps) that is drenched in butter. That’s it. Open mouth and enjoy. The menu is small — lobster rolls, sausage rolls and hot dogs. Anything they don’t serve you can bring with you, including a bottle of wine or beer. Dining is outdoors right on the wharf. If it’s rainy or windy, they’ll pull down the clear plastic, but plan on bringing a jacket or sweater on cooler days. Don’t let the white dining tarp or the«shack» scare you away. It’s all part of the ambiance.

Lobster landing was the perfect place to stop for a roll right off 95 on the way up to Maine. It is convenient from the high way, but far enough off to not feel super touristy. The landing is huge and right on the water with boats cruising by constantly. There is a ton of seating outside which is great for nice days. The service is good, and prices are high, but in line with other excellent lobster rolls. You’ll have to wait a while to get your rolls after ordering, but at least you know it’s fresh. The rolls are huge and delicious. The bread is great, and almost twice the size of smaller rolls. The butter and warm lobster is just divine and incredible. The sea air really improves the experience as well. Best of all, dog friendly outside!

I’ve only recently become big on lobster rolls. My wife’s always searching for the best so, when we found Lobster Landing recommendations on Chowhound, we added it to the«To Eat» list. We had already planned on making a trip to the Clinton Outlets, so a stop a family stop for lunch first was in order. We ordered two lobster rolls($ 16 each) and a hotdog($ 3). Service was very fast and polite. You order what you want and go find a seat — they bring it to you and pay when you’re all full and finished. All seating is outdoors on the water, which a huge part of the experience. Eating lobster rolls is one thing; but eating lobster rolls with a Long Island Sound cool breeze hitting you while you sit in the shade, boat and bird watching? That’s next-level lobster roll eating. It’s also BYOB so there were a lot of bottles of Pinot Grigio floating around the patio seating. The vibe was very laid back. I stayed and enjoyed the view a lot longer than I thought I would. As for the food, it was good. Not the best lobster roll I’ve ever had, but it definitely represented Connecticut well. The bread was toasted well and the butter and lemon juice was just the right amount… But it didn’t wow me. The hotdog, however was great. It was huge and the flavor was awesome! I would honestly get that next time before the lobster roll. Either way, this was a great experience overall. Operation Lunch was a success.

The lobster rolls here are fresh and delicious! We got take out and didn’t have the meal at the marina, but next time when we have a chance to get back, we will definitely sit at the dock.

Yes, yes yes yes. If you love the Connecticut style lobster roll, search no more and get yourself to lobster landing, STAT! For those of you unaware of the CT lobster roll, let me paint you a picture… Imagine a fresh long roll, grilled on an open flame to have the absolute perfect crunch. Then, you have freshly caught lobster meat warmed in a lobster brine then dunked in butter and stuffed(with the perfect ratio) into the hot grilled roll and topped off with the perfect squeeze of lemon. Sigh… perfection. Do yourself a favor and stop here… it’s about 5 – 10 mins from 95 so we used it as our lunch stop on our way back from the cape and it really made the trip home a million times more manageable.

This is seriously the best lobsta shack we have been to… and we’ve been to a few in our time! ;-) Great location, great lobster roll, great vibe… Absolutely superb :-)

Very solid lobster roll! I learned there’s Connecticut style and it’s now my favorite — chunks of warm lobster and butter. On a buttered bun. Straight to the point. It could take a little more salt. We also had the hot dog and the sausage and both were pretty good too.

This is the real deal for authentic lobster rolls! Sit outside & enjoy the riverside scenery. Friendly staff, low key, decent value. NOTE: The seafood store adjacent to the restaurant(to get take out) is AWESOME!!!

If you’re looking for a great hot lobster roll with warm butter and a touch of lemon, eaten out of tin foil, while sitting on a plastic chair at a plastic table, next to a shack that looks like it’s about to fall into the water, this is the place! The lobster rolls are fantastic and the service is prompt and friendly. The views of the marina are nice, and shabby has never tasted so good. If you’re looking for fine dining, or even table service with a menu, keep moving.

I’ve eaten a lot of lobster rolls – the ones prepared at Lobster Landing are likely the best I’ve ever had. If you like a hot lobster roll this is a place you must try. If you do, but your dinning companions don’t, make sure they look hot dogs(apparently also great here) or sausages as those are the three main things served. The food is great, the atmosphere is unbeatable, right on the water amongst the boats in the harbor. The staff is also very friendly and the prices are reasonable. The place is BYOB. Lobster Landing is definitely not to be missed.

My family and I were going to be in the area, as we were going to be at the outlet mall. We decided to look for a seafood place, as we were down by the shore. I stumbled upon this place on Unilocal, and decided to give it a try because of the phenomenal reviews. It was good, but it didn’t meet my expectations. The only seafood that’s really available for dining-in is the hot lobster roll. It was good, but I personally didn’t think it was worth the 16 bucks we paid per roll. I’ve been to other seafood shacks, and this one would probably fall towards the bottom of my list.

They only serve the following items: Hot lobster roll $ 16 Sweet italian sausage $ 7 hot dogs $ 3 chips $ 1 soda $ 1.50 gelato $ 2.50 I stopped by after shopping at the nearby outlet and loved the outdoor seating by the water. You step up to the register, place your order, someone brings the food out to you and you pay at the register when you’re done. You can bring your own beverages but they also will give cups of water or you can buy canned soda from them. We ordered the hot lobster roll and italian sausage with onions and peppers. The sausage does come with this mustard vinaigrette sauce which I asked for on the side. You can have yours poured right on top. It’s delicious and compliments the sausage well. The lobster roll was amazing! Lots of lump lobster meat on a well-toasted bun — just the way I like it!

There is nothing fancy about this place but it has it’s own unique charm that keeps me coming back for more. The location is right on the water and you can sit overlooking the marina. I wouldn’t say the view is as nice as other places I’ve been to but I like it a lot… I wonder if you can see the fisherman pull up with the fresh catch of the day if you come early enough. If you are at the outlets, be sure to stop here. The lobster roll is so yummy and a great sandwich for $ 16(though a little pricey but comparable to other lobster shacks nearby). This place serves a hot lobster roll drenched in butter and served on a hot dog bun. My lobster roll was a little too buttery but you can definitely taste the lemon that was squeezed over the sandwich. The service was pretty fast but we also went Saturday afternoon after the lunch rush. They also serve gelato if you need a little sweetness to curb your sweet tooth. I do enjoy this place and will be back the next time I’m in the area. FYI, my boyfriend said he likes this place better than Abbott’s if that means anything to you! :)
