Delish brunch food — I had the crepes and yummy mimosas :) They also have a variety of roasted coffee flavors which I love.

This is an old house converted to a restaurant. No bar to sit at, and 10 tables tops. Food is average, but the staff is very nice(don’t ask the wine expert to suggest, she did not even know what a Bordeaux was) portions are small but tasty. Skip dessert, not worth $ 11 for a 4 bite«banana pie» p. s if you want to buy art they sell painting there too

Enjoyed a delightful evening at Elizabeth’s with old friends on Friday. We relaxed with glasses of wine, and were not rushed to order, our server was very pleasant. Our salads were delicious; especially the Caesar. Many of us ordered a chicken saltimbocca which was enjoyed by all. Everyone loved the experience, and we hope to have another dinner there soon.

Food is good, service was not. & everything is very overpriced. Not worth what it is. There are many breakfast places in madison I’d like to try before coming back.

The food was good, but over priced. The waitress was very unfriendly which made for an uncomfortable luncheon.

Elizabeth café is one of the best restaurants on the shoreline. I highly recommend going for lunch or dinner. Everything on the menu is good. The place is a little pricey but well worth it. Sadly, I don’t feel the same about their brunch. Bland and mediocre is how I describe their omelettes, bread, and service. It’s a completely different experience except that the prices are still steep.

Start off by stating that we have loved Elizabeth’s. Been our go to spot for several years. Recently have had some not so good experiences with so-so food and way below average service. Had to give it one more try before we pulled the plug. Had reservations for 7:30 and had to wait fifteen minutes. Once again took over ten minutes before waitress came to take drink order. Waited another ten before lovely hostess delivered them. Don’t know why but service has gone way down hill the past couple of years. One waitress for entire front of the restaurant(I counted ten tables). Unacceptable. Ordered same food and wine we always do. Appetizer order of calamari. Good but much smaller portion even though they raised the price several dollars. For entrees wife ordered Penne Ala Vodka with lobster. Again portions shrunk but price went up several dollars. She did love the pasta. I ordered the tenderloin. Very good but price went up eight dollars since the last time I ordered it. Decent portion and tasty but no way a $ 40 steak. I’m at a loss. Always loved coming here but I just don’t think it is worth $ 150-$ 175 a dinner. I don’t know why they raised the prices so much but unfortunately we won’t be going back anytime soon. It looks like the crowds haven’t diminished much and I know the price of food hasn’t gone up 20 percent so I guess I just don’t understand the price increases. Perhaps greed, perhaps being one of the only games in town but we won’t be going back.

Shoved in a corner and it went downhill from there. 20 minutes to order a skimpy glass of wine which came 10 minutes later AFTER the salad. Bolognese was watery, without taste. Staff kept bumping my chair. When paying over $ 100 for dinner it shouldn’t be unpleasant. We won’t be back

My experiences here have been positive during 2 out of my 3 visits. It is decent, but I do not think I will be returning at this point. What the location has going for it is coziness. However, some of the tables are simply too close together. We were seated at a very cramped table between 2 couples, making it impossible to talk without our every word being heard by 4 other people. Our request to be moved was honored, and it was interesting to watch the couple who replaced us make the exact same request almost immediately. At a certain point some of the tables should be sacrificed, I would rather wait a little longer to be seated than be stuffed in like sardines. On more positive note, the waitstaff is very friendly and attentive for the most part. My coffee cup was never empty, which is always appreciated. The food is good, though it is borderline overpriced, this fits the demographic of downtown Madison so I am not subtracting any points for this. The portions are small, ordering one of the eggs benedict options is not enough, this could be fixed by upping the quality and quantity of home fries. Overall worth a visit, especially during non-peak hours.

Our favorite place in town. Great service and food never disappoints. most consistent restaurant I have been too on the shoreline(been coming for over 10 years). Love the beet salad and fillet mignon. Fish specials are always fantastic. Always a treat.

Came here for dinner and then for Sunday brunch. The dinner was spectacular. Had a special halibut and a tenderloin. Fantastic. The Sunday brunch was very good too. Good service.

This place is the worst… Maybe burgers but anything more is beyond them. The salmon… Is the size of a sardine. 3 bites for $ 30 is a total rip. Stay away. There are many choices in the area better than this!!!

Best crab eggs benediction I have ever had. The Bloody Mary and Mimosa are excellent. Service was outstanding. It is very pricey, but in my opinion it is definitely worth it.

By far the worst meal I have had in a long time! My husband and long time girlfriend who was in town decided to go to Elizabeth after reading the great reviews. Sorry to say the food was terrible. Fresh tuna that was frozen and had no taste. Spring roll appetizer also no taste just wasabi Some pasta dish that was ok nothing special at all and I forget what my husband had, we traded dishes as he hated his so I gave him my tuna. Needless to say very disappointing Service was just that take your order have someone deliver the food and that was all. For $ 165 dinner I will not be back.

Nice place to stop for lunch on the way to the beach. They specialize in seafood, soups, salads and sandwiches. Their burger was pretty good. Note: They only serve breakfast food on Sundays.

This review is related to the catering side of this business… I believe they call it Perfect Parties, but my experience with them on the phone was anything but. If I could give negative stars I would. I initially emailed them for information on brunch items for a birthday brunch I was throwing. Elizabeth replied asking what was the date of my event. This was clearly stated in the subject line of my email… no attention to detail… strike 1. She suggested I call to discuss options, which I did. This woman spoke so slowly, sounded so out of it, and was impossible to get any useful information from in a timely manner. I asked what type of quiches or scones could they make… her answer was«oh I don’t know many possibilities». Yeah, that I know… how about some direction here?! Do you have any specialties or customer favorites??! Good lord. In the interest of saving time, I asked her to email me a price list of all my options and I would review and order. I was told they have no price list. Huh?! What kind of catering business has no price list??! I inquired about their croissants, which are listed on their website. She told me they don’t do that and haven’t for years. I asked then why are they on the website? She didn’t even know it was there. Yikes. When I asked the price of another item, I was transferred to someone else who told me «perhaps you would be better off calling somewhere that does trays of food, this is high end catering» Excuse me!!! My jaw dropped and I was speechless for about 10 seconds. What a rude, condescending comment. Not only is that highly inappropriate, but do you think that someone on a beer budget would be calling a caterer in Madison? They really need to get over themselves, and get a clue. That is certainly NOT«high end» customer service… more like someone trained at Walmart. My request for a price list was far from unreasonable. I will NEVER give a penny to this poorly run business.

Lobster corn fritters and the Scallop Entrée were so flavorful and tasty. Scallops were fresh and perfectly prepared. Only one person Wait staff«Lisa» but she did a great job for the only person covering on a busy Monday Night. Loved the cozy dining room. Defiantly a great place to eat.

Nothing about the food, ambiance, or service really blew me away here but I honestly got a pretty solid meal that I can’t really complain about. I went with a Salmon Nicoise salad that was tasty, with a well seasoned and well-cooked fillet of salmon atop a thankfully not overdressed salad. It took a while to choose because the menu here was a little too long for my liking. I came for lunch though, and I know this is more of a brunch place. I took a bite of my mom’s crab cake dish and it tasted kind of bland and weird to me but she really enjoyed it. I honestly want to give this place three stars but, truth be told, I could see myself coming back here if I was like trapped in Madison. Just over the border in Guilford, however, one can definitely find better eats. So anyway, generally solid dining in a sleepy, New Englandy atmosphere. The food is fresh and intelligently made but nothing to really write home about.
