I am trying this new thing… not writing reviews until I have eaten somewhere multiple times. So this review is 100% based on multiple purchases/visits/overall experience because I know that sometimes a restaurant just has a bad night. Tonight(Tuesday) was awful for a bunch of reasons. I started by asking for a diet coke… which I just ordered here two days AGO, and it came in a 16oz pub glass. Tonight the server charged me for a large diet COKE and she gave me a 10oz glass(something they would serve a gin and tonic in). I asked if this was the standard size for a diet coke, to which she answered yes, and I mentioned that the diet coke tasted funny, and asked if it was a diet COKE… she said yes. So I mentioned that there must be something wrong with the CO2/syrup mix and asked if she would check. So she CORRECTED me saying that the FOXONPARK diet«COKE»(not the brand I specifically asked for) may just taste different. I told her it was awful and asked her to take it back, and please bring me a water which she did, but she left the undersized awful«diet coke» it on my bill(that was a little nervy). Then, we received the appetizers we ordered — crab cake sliders, buffalo wings, scallops wrapped in bacon and a side of fries(I asked for mayo with the fries). My husband enjoyed the crab cake sliders, but they had a little too much bread, we left half of the 6 whole buffalo wings(because they just weren’t that good), and we both ate the bacon wrapped scallops which were all different sizes, but were most likely cooked for the same amount of time as they were half burned and half underdone. The fries came without the requested mayo and were half the size of the side we ordered Sunday(is this kosher?!). The fries were hot when I received them, but had cooled down significantly by the time I got the mayo. Overall two out of the three times we went to Brother Mikes were pretty bad even if last Sunday was pretty good. Based specifically on our visit Tuesday 2÷9÷2016 and our previous visits(with exception of Sunday, which wasn’t awful): Service — F, our waitress tonight, Caitlin, just plain sucked. She corrected me, lied to me and misrepresented crappy Foxon Park diet cola as DIETCOKE. She forgot the mayo, did not offer water AND never took the bad coke off the check as well as OVERCHARGING me for large coke instead of the tiny, awful cola she actually brought. Food — C-, food was inconsistent from quality to serving sizes on previous visits. MISREPRESENTATION — A+ — The girl said DIETCOKEATLEASTTWOTIMES before she admitted it was Foxon Park Diet Cola(YUCK) — and said that the tiny coke she brought me was the standard size… is that what a 10oz glass is? because it wasn’t on Sunday. Price — F — we paid 46.00 and change for a completely mediocre batch of small appetizers(6 wings, 4 scallops, three sliders and some fries) served by a waitress who clearly didn’t give a shit. I am posting a photo of the check — #44 dated 2÷9÷16. Thanks for making it easy for us to decide not to return to Brother Mike’s.

I Sat at the bar on a Saturday Night. It was my first time at Brother Mike’s and the place seemed comfortably full. The redesign of the interior looked good. It used to be called Malone’s. They have been open for many months. Perhaps our dining experience would have been different at a table? We were not greeted at the door by a hostess and just took a seat at the bar. Cold air hit us each time the door opened on this winter evening. The crowd seemed mixed with a sprinkling of college kids on break. The bartenders could be more gregarious. The bar staff didn’t ask if we wanted food. There were no free bar salty snacks. The menu might be expanded to have a few more appetizers. We ordered off that evenings«special menu». There was a long wait for our dinner choices and one came out incorrect. Food was well presented and tasted good. My dinner could have been warmer and I think it might have been sitting waiting for pick up. We were never approached about having another drink or dessert but did ask for both. The bill was incorrect with an additional drink added at $ 10. Like other Unilocal reviews have suggested, the service at Brother Mike’s needs to be improved with the focus on the basics that will generate revenue for the business. I hope the establishment makes it. Watching the bartender smell the shaker jar before he created my drink was a bit of a turnoff. My dining partner was making her 3 trip to this place and has now been disappointed that many times with the wait for the meal. We didn’t see any visible owner strolling around and think they should take notice…

This is a great, well designed, place to watch football. Collage or pro. It is wide open with a 16 foot long table that brings to mind a German beer hall. The large windows behind the bar really opens up the place and gives it an airy feel and the staff are friendly and on point. But back to football. The sight lines are great regardless if you are at a table or the bar and with multiple TVs you are bound to have your team on at least one of them. If you are lucky it will be on the«Main Event» TV. A 65 incher behind the center of the bar with the game audio played over the sound system. The specials are for Sunday games only and while they are typical dishes they taste out of this world. The wings are crispy on the outside, moist on the inside and drowned in sauce not oil. The chips in the nachos are really good and don’t get soggy under the topping of of your choice. Add to those two staples beer buckets, slider and hot dog options this place can’t be beat. It is the go to place on the shoreline for game day and when I’m in the area I will defiantly go back.

Had a build your own burger. Very tasty. Asked for medium well, got medium rare, but it was really busy as a home game night at Hand football. Bar staff very friendly and work at making customers feel like they’re a regular at Cheers. Many tv’s to watch sports. Nice changes to the place. Will go back and try something more substantial next time.

Come here for lunch usually 1 or 2 times a week… Specials are usually very good. Daytime servers are AWESOME… locals clearly dominate the place which is good. Atmosphere is great, laughter and good vibes in the place. nice upgrades from the old place.

We tried it last night after reading. a review in our local paper. I hope they were having a bad night because it didn’t live up to expectations. Service was very slow. Waited 15 minutes before seeing our waitress. She was not very cordial. My hamburger was good but the sweet potatoes fries were barely warm and rather limp. My husband had the meatball grinder which was good but also not hot. Food obviously sat a while before we got it. Like the atmosphere although was on the chilly side but did get warmer as more people filled the place. Be a great local spot but they need to improve the service and wait staff.

The atmosphere looked promising. That’s where it ended. Our waitress, who’s 5th night it was, was the only one on duty. Managers/owners?, walking around not pitching in. No one asked how our meals were or why the 3 shrimp that came on my salad were still there with one bite out of one when she cleared our plates. The shrimp were not good. Very fishy and not grilled.(3 shrimp were how many I received when I added grilled shrimp to my salad) Booth seats are too far away from table. From my 13 year old to my husband, it was too far for everyone. I asked if the seat benches were movable, they are not There was a chunk of food on the floor by our table when we got there and it remained there our entire dining time. Some people came in and waited to be acknowledge for seating. After waiting around 5 minutes, they left. I was disappointed and unfortunately will not be back.

The food is fine. The service? Not so much. Multiple forgotten requests for drinks and water. The electronic ordering devices seem to confound the servers. The apparent manager appeared to be badgering the servers and running around — without any apparent effect on service. The menu is very basic. They stick to your usual pub selections. The décor is fine. The smoking«patio» on the front entrance is a huge negative. You have to pass surly, mostly drunk barflies hoovering on roll your own smokes. Not attractive at all.

Very limited menu. Menus were filthy from previous customers– they need to either laminate them or get new ones. Mostly sandwiches and salads for lunch. Had the wings– buffalo and teriyaki. Got 2 orders because 1 order only has six wings in it– kind of small for an appetizer, especially when you’re sharing. I had the burger– it was cooked perfectly — medium rare and very good. Fries are hand cut but you have to pay a $ 2 up charge to get them instead of chips. My husband had the pork sandwich– he thought it was good. The food was very good and there was nothing wrong with the service– we were the only ones there eating so we got served very quickly. I’m only giving them a 3 because I feel like I got nickel and dimed to death. Bill came to $ 48 for 2 sandwiches, 2 sodas, and 2 wings.

I have eaten here a couple times since name changed. Food is ok. Very limited menu and not real creative. The service is always great with a young staff that knows how to make the time worthwhile. If they added some dishes, or expanded the specials to more than one thing, I may eat here more often.

I went there on a Monday night with my wife and my 14 yr old daughter. They did a nice job remodeling the old Lynch and Malone’s. Much more open and modern. Cool long table in the middle of the restaurant that can probably seat 15 people. Lots of TV’s for sporting events. It’s going to be a great place to go to watch some football, have a few beers and grab a burger. The service was friendly and prompt. The big downside was the food — very mediocre. A solid«C» all around — lousy Sea Bass, limp salad with a lousy dressing, steak tip appetizer with a funky sauce that was not described well on the menu. The only exception were the fry’s which were quite good. We’ll go back for beers and to be social but not for the food.

Pleasant surprise in an unexpected location. It may take a little know how to find this little gem, but it’s worth turning on the navigation system. The décor, the cocktails, the food and the service were all above average. Especially the steaks. Even the coffee was really, really good. We NEVER review restaurants, but this is worth checking out. Our only negative comment would be that the name of the restaurant is a little off putting. It may have been better to just call it Mike’s and explain the brother part in a paragraph on the menu. We will definitely be back.

Brother Mikes is far more than a place to grab a drink and watch a ballgame. Premium cuts of meats are featured throughout the menu and there is enough variety to satisfy everyone in your group. TV’s on the wall, and it is well lit. Very clean inside. You would be hard pressed to find a better sports bar on The Shoreline.

It’s evident BroMike’s has a unique concept and mission. From the website to when you walk through the door, you know you’ve stumbled upon something special. Within the framework of a sports bar, BroMike’s is a gem. It’s freshly renovated and happens to have an uncommon twist: You can actually have great food, feel like you’re hanging at your friend’s house — read LOVE the décor — and know from the menu the new owners have their heart and soul in sharing the best there is to offer. First, the food is really good — lots of nice starters, salads, sandwiches and sides. Daily homemade specials from fresh ingredients, Choice cuts of beef and pork purveyed locally and fresh daily, They let you build a burger your way with lots of items to choose with uncommon options like Brioche Bun, fried egg, guacamole. And the ground blend is amazing — try the house made meatballs, too — on a perfectly, light grinder roll or even on a salad. Quality ingredients all around. Hand cut fries are delicious, too. Next time for dinner I’m ordering the Prime Bone-In Pork Chop — hard to find tender pork these days… this ones guaranteed to be by the owner whose passionate about the meat they serve. Second,(loud applause here!) they have great wine — including WINEONTAP. !!! Always a fresh pour, perfect temp. 2 amazing reds and 2 perfectly chosen whites for summer! The bartender, John, knows his stuff. Super friendly staff and great service. Third, plenty of TV’s so all the games can be found. All easily watchable from a booth, table, bar seat or the community table. Excellent selection of beer that includes not only all the common beers but also lesser known beers and local breweries like Stony Creek. A small bonus is they currently have the two gorgeous bathrooms ‘Water Closet’ or unisex style which keeps things a little more interesting — no waiting and very NYC-style. There are plans for an outdoor patio/deck accessible through the restaurant, which I’m sure will have the same sophistication as the interior.

Ive been here a couple times since it has recently opened and I absolutely love it. For anyone who knew the bar by its previous name(Malones) the inside was completely renovated and looks great. It is much more open than before, and has some cool new features like outlets under the bar and even a wine tap. The menu is also different and I highly recommend the wings and any steak/beef dish. Overall a great atmosphere and a place I plan on spending a lot of time at this summer.

The place literally just opened. It was very busy. Service was slow because it was busy. We just had some snacks at the bar and a couple of drinks. Not much else to say right this second. We will go again for dinner and I will revise my review. Stay tuned!
