Call your order in because it take awhile to get your food. All of there food must be cooked after you order it.

Sooooooo… I don’t mean any harm by this review, I’m just being honest. It could be way better. The lady in the front was very nice but tried to sell her food more by talking about it rather than just delivering good BBQ. Good food speaks for itself. I wasn’t impressed by the food at all. The sides weren’t good. The BBQ sauce was terrible. The smoked chicken wasn’t good. I eat BBQ A LOT! The brisket was ok. Not terrible but not worth $ 8 for a sandwich to me. The dinning area was kinda shabby. This place could have a lot of potential but it needs to do more to the food. I’ll revisit this review if I ever go back and the food is better.

Customer service was on point. Now let’s review the food. This place gets three stars because of yams, which was very very good. They charge you a $ 1 for a sample. We sampled the brisket. Bland! I ordered pull pork, ½ slab of ribs, Mac and cheese, coleslaw, and greens. I love supporting small black businesses but when you hype the food, I expect a return. Especially when I spend $ 30. Ribs were saturated in grease, pull pork had no flavor. Greens were bland and coleslaw was ok. Mac and cheese was not what she hyped it to be. It was bland and the cheese only cover the top. I would go back again but only for the yams.

I had the smoked turkey wings. They could have been a little more tender but had good flavor.

This food is amazing! The ribs were so very tender and sides were incredible. I had the greens and candy yams which were home made and fresh! A hidden gem in Clinton!

The food was great. I had the rib tips with mac and cheese and blackbeans with rice all for 13. The ribs where tender and flavorful. My husband normally doesn’t like black beans but even he liked the blackbeans with rice. The mac and cheese was okay but the cheese was primarily in the top and not on the bottom layers. My husband had the brisket fajita with green beans, both of which were good. The atmosphere was not the best but often the hole in the wall places have the best food. The owners were nice and you can tell they put live in the food.

Was looking for a BBQ place in Clinton and decided to go to this one based on previous Unilocal reviews. First, it’s in a tiny strip mall on Old Branch Ave. Blink your eye and you might miss it. But don’t get discouraged, turn the car around and go back. Second, when you walk in you’re in a bar area. A dining room area is off to the side. I’ve never seen patrons in the dining room, but I wouldn’t mind bringing a group there for lunch or early supper. The signs says they have a live music night once or twice a week(I can totally see ribs and live music together!). Third, the menu is written on a huge blackboard(think: school) behind the bar. There are bar stools for you to sit on while you wait for your food. Fourth, if you pay with credit they charge a $ 1.00 processing fee. Don’t get upset about this. Large businesses don’t mind credit charges because they make up for it by jacking up the price on goods/services to make up for the fees, equipment/equipment maintenance, etc. it takes to set up a credit card system. Small businesses, often, don’t have that extra cash to do it. Fifth, if you’re picking up your order, call ahead. They will have it for you when you get there. Sixth, the food is FABULOUS! The pork ribs are juicy and tender, with just the right amount of smoke. The sauce is has the right amount of spice and heat from the chili pepper. The chili-pepper foodie in our group thinks it might be scotch bonnet. The sauce is served on the side.(You really don’t need to use a sauce to give flavor to these ribs, believe me!) The pulled pork is one of the best in the area. Lots of good smoky flavor on it’s own. Like the ribs, it doesn’t really need the sauce. It would be an insult to compare the burgers to a fast food one, so I’ll compare like this. Remember that great grilled burger you had once? The one that was homemade, juicy, full of flavor? The one that was thick and sort of lopsided because it was patted together by hand, not by a machine or a burger patty mold? That’s the kind of burger you’ll get at Nice & Tight. Seventh(as as important as the food itself), the owners, Dino and Kimmara, are super-nice people.

Not bad. Perhaps after reading the reviews I was expecting a little«more». I ordered the brisket & the smoked wings since they were out of beef ribs. Got there about an hour after opening & the owner was the only one working & with three customers, was a bit overwhelmed, so service was kind of slow(didn’t bother me, but clearly one of the other patrons). The wings & brisket were both kind of «dry». Could’ve been the time of day, but I typically like my BBQ flavorful & moist. I am willing to give them a second try & hope to write a more favorable review. Stay tuned…

Had very good, huge portion of baby back ribs. Very nice sides of collards and Mac & cheese. Good smoky flavor on the ribs. Kind of hard to find, but worth the effort.

This place has the best barbecue I’ve had this close to the mason dixon line. North Carolina style vinegary bbq sauce-check. Smoky, tender brisket-check. The smoked wings were also excellent. The sides were okay, but you don’t go to to a place like this for the sides. I will say that the owner mentioned that they try to be health conscious so that could definitely have something to do with the sides being less than stellar. There was definitely no salty flavor in the greens or mac and cheese. I only wish they had pulled turkey or chicken to complement the pulled pork for us non-pork eaters.

This place just popped up in my neighborhood a short time ago. I ordered the baby back ribs with potato salad and green beans. I also ordered the corn muffin. I have honestly never experienced ribs falling off the bone quite like this. They’re smoked, and they practically melt in your mouth — absolutely delicious. The sides were good, but the ribs were GREAT! Can I suggest that you take cash because they add $ 1.00 if you want to pay with a card. Can’t wait to try some of the other menu items. I’m praying that this little soul food joint becomes a staple in the community.

I am a Unilocal customer as well as a company owner. I believe in the power of a review from being listed on Unilocal(B&C Sewer and Drains). Doing so I am leaving a review for this company because finding true smokehouse BBQ is like finding a needle in haystack. I only partake in BBQ that has been introduced to elements of smoldering wood for that summer time flavor we all remember. For This Reason I am giving Nice & Tight BBQ a good review. The reason I am giving 4 stars and not five is because BBQ that I love most is introduced into some form sauce during the cooking process in which the ribs I received were not(sauce set to side). Even though the sauce was set aside the true flavor of seasoning and smoke was in full attendance. By the way try the Beef Brisket. You can separate it with a fork(that tender) and again you can taste the season & smoke. I am a charcoal man, always have & always will be. Only charcoal & wood can deliver when it comes to BBQ. «Great Job guys», «I am impressed»

Best Smoked BBQ I have had in the DMV. I have been disappointed time and again with sub par smoked meat in the DC area. I am thrilled to have found a place that focuses on cooking smoked pig and not decorating their walls. The ribs are Top Notch, the pulled pork is tender and juicy, and the brisket takes me back to growing up in Memphis, TN. Don’t let the location hinder you the BBQ is worth the trip.
