We revisited the Whitehawk back in August at the invitation of the owner, Sharon. We’re glad we did. What a turn-around! Great food, great service, all in a beautiful setting! My prime rib was huge and tasty! Very little fat on the cut. Great options for our 2.5 yr-old little girl. Again, we had a lovely return visit and will definitely go back! Thanks, Sharon!

Wife and I stay at the lodge almost every year, but have only dined in the restaurant a few times. Tonight was excellent! Started with appetizer of spicy crab cakes with corn salsa and spicy aioli. Superb! The house salads were very good. She had the balsamic dressing(«delicious,» says she) and I had the house ranch, which was spiced very nicely. The entrees were the chicken Marsala for her and the rib eye steak for me. Both came with garlic mashed potatoes and sautéed vegetables. Delicious! I even got to finish the wife’s dinner – score! My steak was perfectly prepared and very flavorful. Dessert? Certainly! A fantastic bread pudding with a brandy sauce brought the meal to a satisfying close. Service was excellent. I highly recommend the Whitehawk restaurant.

My boyfriend and i had dinner at the Lodge on wednesday. He had the Prawns which were excellent, I had scallops which were equally excellent. The wait staff was friendly and the views were amazing. I encourage everyone who is looking for a fine dining experience and a relaxing evening to visit the lodge at Whitehawk.

As a resident of Whitehawk Ranch, I can tell you that almost every facility that they offer is exquisite. The only exception is the restaurant. On the outside, the restaurant looks like a high quality affair, which it tries to radiate. They do a pretty good job making it seem great with the waiter uniforms, and the tablecloths. There are some tremendous holes in this restaurant. The first problem is the wait staff. My waitress seemed to care little about the customer. I had to ask for almost everything, drinks, food, bill. The other problem was the speed of the kitchen. It’s very slow… Even for a small salad it took 15 minutes. The last and biggest problem is the food itself. My salad was soggy and the dressing was watery. My entrée was seriously overcooked. I’m not sure what went wrong in the kitchen, but everything tasted bland and watery. Try and avoid if possible. If you can, go to other restaurants such as The Grizzly Grill.

A friend and I ate at the restaurant last Saturday nite. She ordered the filet, and I the scallops. They were both excellent. Her tender filet was cooked to perfection, the sauce flavorful. The dinner salad that came with the entrée was fresh, and tasty. I had the caesar for $ 4.00 more. It was everything a caesar should be, a creamy, tart, dressing with homemade croutons, and shaved Parmesan cheese. The scallops were sweet and tender, served with rice and sautéed veggies. We didn’t have dessert, too full. One last note – we sat outside on the deck, the weather was perfect, and the views stunning.

To say we were disappointed would be an understatement! We had read the reviews and had heard from people that this place was great, so when we were in the area we added it to our list! Wow what a mistake! The Lodge itself is beautiful but that is where the good stops. I ordered three things that are usually rich and full of flavor. A wedge salad, mac ‘n cheese and fried chicken. Wow there was no flavor in any dish! My daughter at first couldn’t understand why I was salting my wedge until she tasted it! How can bleu cheese have no flavor? Well it is here! The entire meal lacked salt or any flavor at all! The only dish that had any taste to it was the garlic rolls but they were paired with honey butter! Honey does not compliment garlic! Our waitress was very good and accommodating but the food is just not worth going back!

Exceptional food, very good friendly service, and unbelievable views if you eat on the deck. We had the caprese salad which was surprisingly fresh, two house salads with homemade dressings, fried chicken which was up there in the top 5 I’ve ever had, and lamb. Finished with homemade turtle cheesecake. Well stocked bar had great bourbon. Only complaint was that the wine list could be a bit more expansive. All in, this is a solid choice and a good value. Whitehawk has earned its place as a dinner out in our annual family vacation.
