It was absolutely filthy, they don’t serve alcohol on Sundays(even after 12PM), and the food was not good — my chicken had a strange texture, the rice was disgusting, just… Gross. Sorry.

Went for dinner with my wife and daughter. I had the Chile Verde with Chicken, wife had Cancun burrito, daughter ate off the kids menu. We were all very happy with our meals. Excellent portions at reasonable prices. Chips and salsa were phenomenal. Definitely would return.

Pretty decent for semi fast food. I’ll go back, whole family enjoyed it, not perfect but worth trying a few things and seeing what they have hidden

I just went here recently with family. It wasn’t bad but it was too small for me. The food was great and so was the waitress we had. If you are in the Clover/Lake Wylie area and craving Mexican food check this place out

In and out for $ 13! Food was quick and tasted great. Service was prompt and friendly. The salsa, fantastic! This is the kind of place I’ve been searching for in the Chicago area for over a year!

This place was discusting. I ordered a chicken quesadilla and my boyfriend got the burrito delux. We also ordered a side of rice. We live about 3 minutes from the place, so we ordered to go. I opened mine immediately after getting home and it was like a soggy diaper. There was maybe 3 pieces of chicken and the rest was all onion and some kind of watery slime. The rice tasted like nothing. I warned my boyfriend, but he tried his anyway and his too was dripping, mushy, and also mostly bean– hardly any chicken. We threw the rest out. Never going there again!

Visited with three friends at about 1:30 on a Sunday afternoon. It was a big disappointment. The stewed chicken in my dish was overrun by grease. It tasted okay, but I couldn’t figure out why they didn’t just use a slotted spoon to dish out the chicken and leave the grease in the pan. Ugh. Not good. Two of my friends got items with ground beef. I’m not sure what they did to that meat, but it was awful looking. It was almost as if it had been sitting under a heat lamp for an hour or so. It did not look appetizing. It did not taste good. Dried up and just poor quality. Neither of them ate much of it. Im surprised they didn’t send it back, but we were on a schedule and it had taken longer than expected to get the food in the first place. Yuck. The fourth friend ordered off the«light» menu and hers seemed like the best of all the entrees. She got soft chicken tacos if I remember correctly. They were a bit messy, dripping, the way it happens when the lettuce is wet or pico de gallo is added during the preparation. I can live with that. So, one out of four was okay. Service was distracted and slow. We were on a schedule, but should have had plenty of time for Mexican food since it is all mostly ready to get put together when you place your order. The server took his time letting us escape. I told him separate checks and he came back with one. Then he took the order for another table and refilled drinks for other customers before splitting up our bill. Grrrrrrrrr. I might give this place a second look if I’m in the area again, but really, they would have to do things a lot better, on a consistent basis, for me to be willing to recommend it to friends.

I’m not gonna lie. We got«stuck» and had to go to this restaurant, due to the lack of any other appealing options in the area. I walked in and was confused. It seemed like a counter service place from the layout. Clearly this is a re-imagined space and they didn’t demo what was there previously. A nice man there motioned us to a table, and I realized it wasn’t counter service after all, but rather table service. We were given an extensive menu and we chose from the lunch special selections, offered 7 days a week during lunchtime hours. We ordered, and I watched as our order was made right behind the counter in front of us. You can’t see much, but it was interesting to have the kitchen right out on the floor. Our meals arrived very quickly. I realized for the first time just how much Mexican food truly is pre-made — the refried beans, the rice, no wonder food always comes out to quickly at Mexican restaurants! There’s nothing wrong with that, though. Those are the types of things that hold very well for a long time. And there was nothing at all wrong with the heaping platters of food set before us. It was all delicious. As I told my husband, more urban areas may have exotic food, but Charlotte(and by proxy the Lake Wylie area) has Mexican food down to a science! It was exactly what we were hoping for and I plowed through my meal quickly. Service was great. The price was very reasonable($ 17 for two meals and two sodas. The soda prices might be a tad high, but not too much so.) Next time we’re out that way, this is the kind of place I’ll seek out. I love the quirkiness in how they adapted a counter service restaurant to a table service establishment, and I REALLY loved the food.

The service was decent… and so was the food. There is room for improvement in both departments… but it was decent enough to get a second shot if we’re in the area.

First time at Azteca Grill this evening with my son. We were greeted by our server Julio, very friendly gentleman. The menu was very extensive with a lot of variety. Hard to decide which direction we wanted to go, with so many choices. We finally settled on the Fajita for Two with beef plus soft drinks. The chips with salsa that was served before our order was good. Fresh, warm chips with fresh, tasty salsa… very good! Main plate… PLENTY of seasoned beef, peppers and onions! Had enough to fill 3 fajitas each, and enough left over to fill another plate! The refried beans… excellent and tasty! Good balance of guacamole, sour cream, onions and peppers for the fajita toppings. Rice also not too bad. Only thing was the price — most of the entrees on the menu were in the $ 10 to 13 range. Our bill, when all totaled, was near $ 30…for two people at this sort of restaurant that seemed a tad pricey, and is the ONLY reason I couldn’t give the Azteca Grill 5 stars. Still, the food was tasty enough that I figure to return to try another item from their menu! Give them a shot… I don’t think you’ll be disappointed!

It was the most personal meal that I can recall having. The food was«make your mouth happy» delicious. Reasonably priced for what you get and the ambiance is cool. I will return every time I get close to Rock Hill. It is so worth it.

This place is great! It’s a simple sit down restaurant. Menu is inexpensive; food selection is diverse, fresh, tasty, and of good quality. Waitstaff couldn’t be any friendlier too.
