This is about the deli. My husband got the chicken tenders. Cold hard dry and mostly breading. Shameful. Wish I could give no stars.

Ray’s is the only grocery store in Cloverdale, and they know it. Expect each item to be at least $ 2 overpriced, which adds up quick. Their selection is also rather limited. It’s best to save your grocery shopping until you’ll be down in Healdsburg or Windsor, etc.

Got home tonight to find 4 packages of chocolate chips bagged with my hot deli chicken… 4 bags of melted chocolate chips… Now I remember why I shop elsewhere…

This place needs some competition. Staff is rude, particularly the deli staff, who act imposed upon when you request something from them and they take forever with each customer. Produce is not as fresh as it should be. Customer service in general leaves a lot to be desired. It takes a long time to check out, cash register staff makes you wait while they hold conversations with other customers or other staff. In general the attitude is very poor. Only go here if I don’t feel like driving to Headlsburg or Ukiah.

Holy crap this place will make you go broke shopping here. The staff is awesome but there is no reason for such high prices. I’m more then happy to drive 30 miles to get normal prices but if I’m just getting a couple things I go there and it makes me sick.

I completely understand raise they are the only grocery store and Cloverdale and they really have market in a tight device like old. However that being said there’s really no excuse for continually having food that is Rhonda will before the expiry date this is an ongoing problem with this Store. I really find her prices to be absolutely ridiculous for example their English muffins normally run about five dollars were at Safeway in Healdsburg I can get my English muffins before around two dollars that three dollars for the savings no sleeves made up by the gas to go all the way down there. I see there now trying to move to more towards local which I do appreciate however the quality of food needs to increase

We just moved to Cloverdale and we are not impressed with rays. Prices seem on th high side and they often do not have what we need. The location is convenient if you just need staples. We buy most of our groceries in Windsor or Santa Rosa.

I just moved to Cloverdale and am extremely disappointed that this is the only grocery store in town. I tend to shop on the organic healthy side and the selection of those items are slim… not to mention it cost me $ 70 to make tacos the other night! The meat counter needs help and the produce section is a joke when it comes to organics… sorry but I refuse to feed my kids crap! Meat bonanza or not this place needs some help!

My family has shopped at Rays since it first opened 10+ years ago. I KNOW their meat department is a better selection than any chain store. The pricing throughout the store is competitive and getting better. «Sometimes» the produce department can be weak, but for the most part I have been very pleased. The younger staff has not been trained correctly to know to ask customers if they need any assistance. That is the fault of Management alone! It’s in town, minimal gas usage, minimal time wasted, supporting Cloverdale businesses, and you can’t help but see everyone you know to say hello to. No complaints from me!

The staff at Rays is very nice, but don’t hope to make any special dinner and shop for the ingredients here! I went in there once and asked for crème fraîche and they insisted I must mean«crème cheese»! They then asked if it was some sort of special holiday ingredient(it was December). Okay, so forget that… what about snow peas? Oh, we can order that for you – nice but I wanted it tonight, not next week. Their prices are like shopping at a 7⁄11 on steroids. Lordy, so expensive!

Let me just start out by saying that I live in Healdsburg, and my husband and I purposely drove up to Cloverdale to go to this grocery store, because we were tired of going to our local California chain store. Ray’s may not necessarily be cheaper but they offer other products that we can’t get anywhere else… including Walmart. We went there once or twice a few years ago, and I totally had forgotten they carry the Western Family Brand. This made me really happy because now I knew I could get some of the things that we have been looking for and at a decent price. Unlike some of the smaller, specialty stores in Healdsburg(one even carries the Western Family brand) this store, with it’s larger square footage offers more products and doesn’t cater to the cheaper mexican brands. Thank you! The store is conveniently located off Hwy 101 and has ample parking. You may spend a little more because they have more of the things you want and don’t always buy, and you may spend a bit more time driving up there, but it is well worth it.

Ray’s is our hometown supermarket here in Cloverdale and, over the years, I’ve gotten pretty familiar with it. As it’s the southernmost store in a chain of supermarkets primarily located in Oregon, most of our neighbors to the south have never heard of it. I don’t have a huge amount to say about Ray’s as a supermarket. They have lots of stuff, and their prices are about what I’d expect. Ray’s has a full-service bakery and deli, and a video rental department. Pretty much everything you’d expect in a supermarket — and, given the size of our town, I think we’re lucky to have them here. What really impresses me about Ray’s, however, is the people. They’re consistently friendly and helpful, and in twelve years I can’t recall a bad interaction with anyone there. Store management bends over backwards to help out any non-profit that comes calling, donating goods for all kinds of events and activities. You’ll often find Girl Scouts selling cookies, Key Club kids collecting donations for the food pantry, or sports teams raising money at the front door. Ray’s Food Place is a real asset to our community in many ways, and I’m happy to be a customer and support them as they support Cloverdale.

Ray’s is a fully featured grocery store easily accessible off the 101. I found it via Unilocal Mobile on my way up to a camping trip on the lake. They have everything you’d find a larger suburban or urban grocery store, as well as last minute items we needed for our trip(beer, ice, charcoal, etc.).

Ray’s is conveniently close to the freeway, and was across from my motel. It’s pretty clean, and has MOST of the staples you’d expect. Most. Let’s start with the merchandising layout: THELAYOUTWASDESIGNEDBYCRACK-MONKEYSWITHADD. .er, …sorry for shouting, but really — monkeys and ADD are the ONLY explanation I have. Example: You would expect to find coffee filters near the coffee and tea, right? NOPE. Okay, kind of strange but perhaps in the paper-goods section? NOPE. They were with the coffee cups(makes sense?) — which were, in turn in the spice aisle. I saw any number of instances were items were placed in several odd places(Red Mill grains under the Pop-Tarts, and in the kichenwares — an aisle where they were the only food item…) The staff members who I asked(begged?) for guidance were as lost as I was(«I’m sorry, but this is the first day I’ve worked this week»), which leads me to believe that nothing has a ‘home’ on the shelves, and that the house-elves move things randomly after hours. Why am I giving this store 3 stars? Because goung to the grocery hasn’t been an adventure since I was six years old…
