Came to BJ’s country kitchen and it was the worst food I have ever had. The biscuits and gravy did not have no flavor and we’re thick and cold. The cowboy potatoes also did not have any flavor and had burn pieces to them. When I first received my cup of coffee the cup had lipstick stains on the rim. So I don’t know if they clean their cups right, so I asked for a to go cup. I also ordered pancakes for my son and the pancakes were too thick and were hard to cut. inside the restaurant it look dirty and everything was very old and the seats I sat in where in the booth and I nearly fell to the ground because the seats were too loose. I definitely will not be coming back to this restaurant. The only good thing was the waitress was nice.

Dirty silverware and dishes. Took over 45 minutes to get our food and once we received our food, my boyfriend discovered cockroaches cooked into the biscuits :(

I used to eat at b j’s ville/​shaw 2 – 3 times a wk, love the food. used to b hard to find a seat, now I go maybe once every 3mo hardly any one there… the floor and walls r soooo disgusting. now I go to jst joes, or dennys. food is ok and cheaper. if he ever cleans it up ill be back, but not until

This use to be one of my prefered breakfast spots, but things have changed in the past 15 years. I liked the older location that B J’s use to be at before this one where they are now settled. Walking inside, the place looks a bit neglected. It was rather busy in the morning, with such a variety of customers.
I ordered scrambled eggs, corned hash, hash browns, biscuits and gravy, and a Dr Pepper. After 10 minutes, my food was ready, and it was just okay. Everything was a bit bland, and the corned hash could have used another few minutes on the stove. Like I said, the food isn’t bad, but it’s alright.
My server was extra sweet and attentive, and the pricing was reasonable, about $ 13. I will continue to come back because the food is not bad and the service is good.

This place is not worth even one star. If you want to sit at a table for a half hour before the waitress visits your table then maybe this place is for you. You just expect better service at a place that is barley half full, our waitress was not well trained it would seem and the food is not that great. I ordered eggs over easy, got over medium «at best» waited for the waitress to come back to at least warm our coffees, that Never happened. So I sat with an empty coffee cup in front of me for over an hour! food is cold coffee is empty, what does one do? Count dirty empty tables of course, we counted 9 un bussed dirty tables in our section. As for my food, as stated, eggs over cooked, sausage links were the cheap frozen out of the box type that you would buy at your local dollar store. Biscuits and gravy, here’s an idea, serve them hot and they might taste good, mine were served almost cold and had a heavy flour and lard flavor yummy! NOT. Over All experience Very Poor we will not be returning any time soon.

This place has become sad. It needs to close down. The building is run down, the food is not good. The place is down right dirty. Why would you pull out the flooring and paint the cement? It looks awful.

Ordered huevos rancheros eggs over easy and they can over hard. Also ordered was a 3 egg omelet and again. eggs over cooked.
Gravy for the biscuits and gravy very bland. just like last time.
Slow to bring out orders and not that busy.
Will not return.

Service is terrible. Been here 45 minutes and had to ask for a second cup of coffee and still have not received our order. All I have heard is excuses. People are getting up and leaving.

I had lunch here yesterday. I received a warm welcome as I walked in and was immediately seated in a comfortable booth.
The waitress immediately got me a soft drink and bought it to me. I like fast service and with a smile from someone who enjoys her job.
I had the BBQ bacon burger and the cooked to perfection not falling off the buns.
Even the owner Mike came over and talked to me and asked if I was enjoying my burger.
This place is hidden from Shaw avenue and has a nice shaded patio to dine on if you want fresh air.
I would recommend my friend and family to dine here you won’t be disappointed.

Unless you like cockroaches in your food do not eat here. The waitress caught a cockroache crawling on the table with a napkin that I covered with my cell phone. My son took a drink from his chocolate milk and had a cockroache in his mouth. Totally disgusting. Never again will we go here.

Sat down at 10am and were asked about drinks. Got coffee and iced tea. 10 mins later we asked if someone can take our order? The waitress came right away and did take our order. That was the last hope of getting food. We watched the one waitress run around and do her best to take care of the customers. The two guys working were giving drinks. Two large parities were seated and one served themselves there own drinks. Finally after 35 minutes we were asked if we wanted refills? I asked for more iced tea. I guy filled my glass with hot tea and didn’t add any ice. After seeing if our food was in the window (and it wasn’t) we decided to leave. We were there 40 minutes. The place has an out of order sign on a booth, it’s dirty and run down. Obviously the owners don’t care about good impressions or good service. Too bad too. I remember when it was the best breakfast in town.

Dirty, bad service and horrible food. Waitress forgot to place our order waited almost an hour. No apology brought food out one at a time for 7 people. Food was burned and tasted awful and they ran out of parts of different orders. No offer of replacement. Complained to owner and was told «what’s done is done. what can we do now? nothing.» No apology, no attempt made to make things right. Just the excuse that they were busy what did we expect. I took my relatives from Illinois here. Very embarrassing to say the least. Rude unprofessional and disgusting. Unless you want to be pissed off go somewhere else.

Best item was the biscuits however it was drenched in a flavorless corn starch and water mixture they called gravy. My omelette was overcooked, rubbery and also flavorless. My potatoes were also flavorless. I am assuming from all the «best breakfast» plate awards on the wall that somehow this place went downhill after 2011, well they need to step it back up. I will never return again. I do not suggest to try this place unless you’re over sixty and need no spices at all in your food. One star for the nice waitress.

So its Sunday morning and you want food before starting a long day… Every other place is packed except for bjs… screw it, we’ll try it.
I got the Belgian waffle combo, 2 eggs. 2 sausage.
No.
The waffle was generic. I couldn’t even eat the sausage or eggs.
I’m giving two stars cause they were quick and the service was good.
The food, nah
Also don’t they believe in cleaning? Or matching coffee cups?

I only give this location a 4 star for one reason. After many years of coming here, the only reason I endure the long wait, the not so clean environment, and some of the sorry excuse of staff and Managment is because there is one staff member that always goes out of her way to go above and beyond to make sure my experience is great. The staff here know better that when I walk in no matter where I sit Pattie is serving me. Either it be her section or not. Pattie always has a welcoming smile and great attitude. Remembers our orders and always gives a hug when we leave. I can honestly say when pattie does ever retire, this place is going to go under, because you can tell there’s a lot of customers like myself that only return because of her. So I do encourage you to try it here… but ask for Pattie. 5 stars for Pattie. 2 stars for the restaurant

First time here. Honestly I do think its a little expensive for the amount of food u get. But the place was pretty empty. Food came quick. I just think Denny’s or ihop is better.

breakfasts costing 9.95 to 12.95 better be much better than this.

Ok first the lady reached over me to clean the table, which could’ve been completed with her just walking around the table. Then we had to wait 15 mins for someone to take our drink order. Then we could here the girl in the purple shirt with the dark hair being such a rude person to one of the other servers. Now 54 mins since we got here we still done have our food.
Service Horrible

This place used to be really good, excellent food and service but as the time went by and new staff members came and left the quality of the food and service has gone downhill, one of the originals staff is the only one who seems to be keeping the service bearable.
Today I ordered a waffle and it tasted weird to me then half way I found pieces of egg shells in my food which at that point I just quit eating.
Overall I don’t think I’ll be coming back anymore there seems to be no signs of recovery of this place.

In my opinion the previous reviews do not fairly review this restaurant. I ordered the omelette, «BJ’s Special.» All the veggies and meat were diced in an appropriate size, the egg was fluffy, and I felt there was a great amount of flavor. I was very impressed with the country potatoes because they were the PERFECT crispness, crunchy on the outside soft in the middle. They also mix in bell peppers and onions, when competing restaurants charge extra. I tasted my moms biscuits and gravy. The biscuit was very fluffy, not dense and thick like other restaurants. I asked for a side of French toast, and the only thing I didn’t care for was the toast was very thin, I prefer Texas Toast for any French toast.
I thought this place was old and dark, but doesn’t mean the food and service aren’t good. I would recommend the owner update the flooring and décor. It does seem dated, old, and could lead some people to believe its dirty. I felt the waitress’s were excellent and enjoyed their job.
