Love Dai Ichi. Great food and great people. Always get the chicken and beef bowl with the white meat chicken. Always good food!

This review is based on my latest experience with this place I have not had this place in about 4 years. 4 years ago I did love this place and it was nominated best in Clovis and with their orange chicken I did not disagree it was good food. Today however the orange chicken plate over fried rice it was not the same at all the fried rice was super bland had no true taste or flavor to it the chicken cuts were fatty. Now the reason I made this review was truly based on my teriyaki chicken plate over white rice with white meat chicken I don’t know why the chicken did not smell right and after several people tried my plate after I could not eat it we determined it had a strong strong flavor and texture of just being the white meat of Turkey!!!
That is the reason for this somewhat negative of a review

Ok food. Thought it would be quick since it says fast food. Still took a while. I’ll try again maybe next time I will try something different.

Love their chow fun! It is the best I have ever had! The inside of restaurant could be cleaner but I always get mine to go.

I absolutely love the food here. I don’t care what anyone says. I have never ever had a bad experience dining in or out. The orange chicken and shrimp tempura is my absolute favorite! It’s perfect for a Japanese fast food joint. I have been coming here for years and always will! They are so friendly here. I enjoy this place!

What a disappointment! I hadn’t been here in a long time, and won’t be going back.
First, the cleanliness issue. As I was waiting on my food, I saw that the fish tank is so green you can hardly see the fish. The ceiling fans and chains holding signs were coated with dust. The floor had streaks, which I think means they’re using dirty water. I was a little afraid to eat my food after that.
Next, the menu. This is no longer a Japanese menu. The majority of items are Chinese.
Now, the food. I got the chicken & beef teriyaki plate. The veggie tempura, sigh. The zucchini was pure mush. The broccoli had a bad odor, as if it had been boiled first, so I didn’t eat it. The cucumber salad was also mush, as if it was prepared last week. The sweet potato was okay but cut into chunks the size of my hand. The chicken is all dark meat, and the beef was dried out.
I think I’m being generous giving it two stars.

Very disappointed today. I saw that you have a new employee working in the kitchen, but PLEASE get him trained up to your standards quick. Lettuce wraps with no lettuce? Chicken teriyaki bowl with no sauce? Boiled-​to-​death chicken that is so dry it leaves me dehydrated? Rice so overcooked that it’s a congealed mush?
You have been my «go-​to» teriyaki place for a long time, but today was just wasted money. I ended up throwing pretty much everything away, and have honestly had better teriyaki at Jack in the Box. I want to give you guys another chance, but all I REALLY wanted today was some good teriyaki. You failed me and gave me crap. Train your new cook or fire his ass…

WHAT HAPPENED TO THIS PLACE!!! GET RID OF THAT GUY WHO WAS AT THE COUNTER ON 07/23/15…he doesn’t listen on the phone to your order and when you call because they screwed up your order… he talks Chinese to some other guy and they laugh… and does NOTHING to fix the error… what kind of customer service is that!!!

I recommend getting it to go, because even if you order it there it will be served in styrofoam dishes with the cheapest plastic utensils I have ever seen, plus it is a pretty filthy restaurant. Poor service. They are rude every time I go in. But I will go in once in awhile because the food itself is decent. I like their teriyaki bowls and the Chinese food there isn’t half bad. I would only recommend it if you’re desperate

Just don’t go here. I got the jumbo shrimp and for one it was totally bland and tasted disgusting. It was super expensive. There was a HAIR IN IT! I gave them the opportunity to make it right but they just took the hair and was like I don’t see it. They didn’t offer me a refund or offer to remake the meal that was mostly still there. and i spent $ 15! For one meal! It’s dirty and the health inspector should shut this place down

Tried this place today for the 1^st time and… terrible ordered the simplest thing on the menu (teriyaki bowl) took my order to go because it looked dirty inside. Open my bowl and chicken isn’t even grilled it looks to be boiled and shredded no flavor, very dry… the workers were very bland no smiles just very dry like the food. Never going here again. Do not try this place you will be dissapointed. Panda express is a 5 star compared to this hole in the wall place…

This place makes me sad. Years ago it was a totally different restaurant. At one time it was much cleaner, nicer, better food… Now I am too afraid to eat there. Last time I went I was not too sure if I was going to get sick because of the state of the restaurant. It’s icky. Too bad. It used to be delicious.

This place was great the owners and their son were very nice. I hope to go back soon. The owners are very respectful people. Please eat here the food is fantastic so are the employee’s. I’ll rate this a 5 out of 5.

I like the teriyaki bowls. They give you quite a bit of food for the price. Place probably needs a deep cleaning though.

Disgusting environment — very dirty and lazy employees. Food was not very good. Should be shut down!

Food poisoning! Never ever coming here again! Dirty and nasty! The chow mien and lettuce cups are terrible! Yucky!

This is about a 1 – 2 star place
The sushi is ok, no frills… sushi rice is fine and rolls are good size
The way the place is set up is ghetto
The owner is rude
There is much to choose from on their menus but you should not that some prices conflict with the other menus.
Only 1 free refill on a fountain drink

The sushi you can buy at any supermarket will be fresher and more tasty. The beef bowl had extremely dry beef. Very sad.

We are regulars at the visalia location and since we were in the area we decided to try this location out. Food was ok. They serve you on styrafoam plates and cups. Place looks dirty. So needless to say were sticking to the visalia location.

This place use to be great, now the place is filthy and the food taste terrible, Avoid at all cost!
