Every Saturday and Sunday starting around 10 am they have a series of taco trucks out here. All really good taco trucks. While you are here also buy enzo’s table olive oil. It is really good and and locally made and family owned. Yoh can also but Fresno State ice cream here which is always good. I love coming to this place. Very relaxing atmosphere and great company

Very cool place. We stop in on Sundays and grab some tacos form the food trucks. They also have a lot of great items such as local olive oil, olives, etc.

Worst Customer Service and they are dishonest. We ordered a cord of wood, and were shorted… call to let them know and make things right. The woman on phone told us rather rudely to call Weights and Measures in Fresno County to complain. That they have people call all the time saying they’ve been shorted. Well… maybe it is them that needs to be investigated for their business practices. It is a little over a bin we were shorted today and spent $ 221.86 this year. To make it worse, this isn’t the first time! Last time we called sent pictures to show it stacked and they made it right!!! Will NEVER get wood there again! You DON’T get want you’ve paid for.

Fresno state ice cream anyone? I would say it’s premium ice cream, even though they use skim milk, bc that is some fattening stuff. We got the caramel toffee, but all the toffee was at the bottom. :/ This place is also known for the white corn, which I believe is also from Fresno state. It is surely delicious and cheap. $ 1 for 3 ears. All the fruits and veggies are brought in by local farmers, and when you walk in, the freshly picked, in-season items are laid out across a round table. You can also support locals who sell their items here. For example, there was one woman sampling her heirloom tomato sauces, which have been featured in Crate and Barrel and Oprah Magazine. This seems like the one-stop shop for your farmer’s market, available any day of the week. On weekends, there are food trucks that come by if you want to grab some yummy lunch.

Great business with a large selection of fruits, veggies, ice cream, olive oil and so much more! This is also our firewood stop on the way out of town to camp. They sell this chardonnay soda that is fantastic there as well. Be sure to hit the food trucks on Saturdays but don’t miss out on the goodies inside!

If you dig deep enough you’ll know that this family owns a good bit of land and agriculture in the area. Maybe one of the closest you can consider of being La Cosa Nostra. Regardless they still produce some of the best long running traditional agriculture products. The almonds and olive oil alone are worth seeking out. this locale is not really close to the city core, but if you like quality food products, make the trek out here. 4.5 stars

Beware of wet firewood!!! I traveled all the way from San Diego to visit Huntington Lake, and I found Bella Frutta online. I stopped by and purchased some firewood, and when I got up to my camp site and attempted to make a fire, the wood was wet as hell. I called and spoke to the manager, and they were TERRIBLE. The advised me to pack up the wood and bring it back to them. They also said that some of the wood that they were selling was wet. and that they were sorry. I ended up having to buy wood at the local store, and it cost a ton, and I ended up leaving the wet wood that they sold me at the camp. It was a total waste of money… I will never return.

Tremendous selection of fresh fruits and vegetables they grow in their garden on site, as well as an amazing selection of nuts and fruits, dried and fresh! Very friendly, and always willing to help, this is what buying local is all about! Their almonds are not only the freshest I have ever had, but they are actually cheaper per pound than Costco or Trader Joe’s. My favorites… Chili Lime pistachios Non-pareil roasted unsalted almonds chocolate covered raisins heirloom tomatoes! white nectarines Sweet corn

My wife and I made a stop here and will definitely be coming back again. Bella Fruta has since replaced what was a dingy, old building with a new one that is pretty nice. In its place is a nice little store that sells fresh produce at decent prices along with their own products of various nuts. They had among the largest peaches I had ever seen with a sign that said it was«just picked» — I don’t play softball but they seemed pretty close to that size if not larger(definitely rivals those that you can get at the Vineyard Farmers Market). The store even sells Fresno State stuff(food, that is — not only ice cream/sorbet, but corn too! But they sold out of their batch while we were there… but not before we dug into it! :))

Firewood Review Only: We’ve ordered three cords of firewood from Bella Frutta in the past year. The first cord was fine: bone dry, nice-sized, and it made a fine fire. So we went back in August and bought a second cord. It was a disaster. The wood wasn’t properly cured; you could almost feel the sponginess. Plus, There were nails sticking out of more than a few of the pieces(I’m glad everybody in our house is up to date with their tetanus vaccinations!), and the sizing was really uneven. It was supposed to be 18 – 24 inch walnut; I suppose if you averaged it out the whole cord was 18 – 24 inches, but individual pieces varied wildly from 10-inch logs to massive, 30-inch+ mini-trunks. It made building a good fire much harder than it needed to be. Plus it wasn’t completely cured, so a lot of our fires in December/January were really smokey. Remembering the nice cord we bought a year ago, we took a risk and bought a third cord last week. This was is as nice as the original cord. So, we’re left with two excellent experiences and one bad on. Hence, the three stars.
