Impact Archery

My boyfriend and I came here for a fun relaxed date. The instructor was great, and the other guests were very helpful. We really enjoyed our lesson here! I plan to go back with frends.

Nice staff, and nice customer. Both groups answerd questions and gave advice. affordable prices. Great facility with changable distance. want to go back again

Extremely Disappointed!
We scheduled and paid for a birthday party for my daughter on August 30^th 1 month in advance. The day of our party, I arrived with 4 eager children and a picnic lunch only to find a sign on the door that said, «Impact Archery will be closed on August 30^th.» I called Monday to find out what happened, and why they canceled my daughter’s birthday party without notifying us they said, «Everyone went hunting, and I didn’t think to check the schedule.»
Ultimately, The Spot Archery in Fresno accommodated my daughter’s birthday party with no reservations or prior warning. They went as far as opening the range outside of their normal business hours, with one hour notice in an effort to ensure my daughter’s birthday celebration was not totally ruined.
Needless to say, we will not be going back to Impact Archery for any reason. We will take all of our business to The Spot Archery in Fresno from now on.

I called this facility to arrange a time to shoot. I was told they do not take reservations. Come on down, NO PROBLEM. We arrived at 4:30p.m. We were told there was NO availability, it would be about an hour. We drove TWO HOURS to take a break from the fire we have been engulfed in for almost a month. I was told they used to take reservations, but too many people didn’t show up. Here’s a good idea… take a credit card for a reservation, if no one shows, CHARGE IT for an hour!!! No brainer! Rode 2/​hours on our Harleys in 100+ heat to come here. No bueno no bueno no bueno!!!

Visited on a Saturday and used Groupon for a party of 5. For first-​timers this was a great adventure! It was busy, so we had to wait a bit, but no qualms there. The staff was very knowledgeable as were the other more experienced archers practicing. Great place to take a date, be adventurous, de-​stress, or practice coordination!

The facility is great. Plenty of lanes. That’s worth three stars. Mondays through Thursdays are best if you’re not working because there aren’t a lot of archers. Not sure about the evenings during the weekdays. My guess is everyone is off work and is out target practicing. I know for sure that Fridays and Saturdays can get very busy, which can get crowded. Sometimes you’d have to wait for awhile for your turn.
The downside (minus two stars) is the young kid working the counter. Not friendly and seemed annoyed when asked questions about recurve vs. longbows, carbon vs. aluminum arrows, feather vs. plastic fletching, point grains, etc. For any beginner archer, like myself, we are going to have hundreds of questions. We just want to scrape the tip of the iceberg. This young kid should learn to have patience and explain it to the best of his knowledge. Instead he gave off this vibe like he didn’t want to help or answer any questions. That on a personal opinion, tells me that he’s not very knowledgeable at what Impact Archery is selling. It’s like a doctor telling his/​her patient that the patient is sick but gives no explanation as to why or what’s causing the illness.
I did purchase a couple hundred bills worth from them last time. Although, last time it was from an older gentleman who was patient. Was gonna purchase some items from them again, but that young kid made me change my mind. Called 3 Rivers Archery and they patiently answered all my questions. They even offered to help answer future questions if I had any that hasn’t crossed my mind yet. Will still go there for target practicing, but will not purchase any of their items.

The selection was great. The staff was really knowledgeable. Even though they were really busy, they took their time and answered all of our questions. We can’t wait to go back.

My twentysomething daughter bought her bow here and comes in regularly to shoot. she loves the bow and the staff treats her really well. thank you impact archery for taking care of my girl.

Great place for archery, and cheap too. I wish they give tips or some advice for beginners trying to learn the sport or even how to use the bow. You just get handed the bows and go at it. Pretty much on your own even if it’s your first time.

Horrible. We went in there to ask questions about getting into the sport for my son, the owner was rude and very short with us. He was humiliating his staff in front of customers for booking a birthday party over the phone! Instead of being happy that he has customers in his place. I you can’t take the time to answer simple questions for a customer then get someone who is willing to help. Stop being so short with people! Being short is not nice! RUDE-​RUDE-​RUDE!

I came here for my birthday to shoot some arrows! A really nice/​knowledgable guy showed us how the bows worked and how to shoot. We had a good time and will go back for sure. The only bad thing I have to say is, for the first time customer there is not enough printed/​posted information as far as procedures.

Great place to bring kids. Staff is very patient as well as the fellow archers. Very impressed.

Impact Archery is a great place for family fun!!! As a single parent of 2 daughters I was a little taken a back when my 14yr old daughter wanted a bow. So I took her into Impact, we got great personalized service from the owner himself. He set her up with a bow and all the accessories to go with it. I was so impressed that he took out time to give her personalized archery lessons right on the spot. My daughter continued to practice in the backyard at home and at impact when my schedule would allow me to take her. This last weekend she competed in her first outdoor archery tournament along side the guys from Impact Archery. She took first place in her division. It was so great to see the smile on her face. Archery has given her such great confidence. This would not have been possible without the help she received from the owner and staff at Impact as well as the numerous volunteers they have working there. Each time we have walked through the doors we have felt very welcome like we were part of a family. The Impact family. I would recommend Impact to anyone who is interested in archery. It’s a great place!!!
