The food here seems old like it sits too long at buffet table… maybe because it’s slow. Not sure. But not sure if we’ll try again. 3 times and same quality every time. =(

Food is stale and hella salty. Everything I tried was horrible. Sushi is old and gross. They played the same song on loop the whole time I was here. Place looks dirty and asks you to spin a wheel for a dollar when you come in.

I’ve eaten at a ton of buffets all around the country. This is by far the worst. Orange chicken tasted like boiled eggs. Chow mien now taste at all. Mongolian grill sucked not cooked right vegetables still hard. Pepper chicken dry as hell. Sushi tastes old. Egg rolls taste like they come frozen. Don’t go here

They have good food but it’s too expensive. So I only go there for special occasion only.

First and foremost I must mention that I am not a fan of Asian food, maybe because my entire childhood consisted of ONLY Asian food. And second, I’m not really into buffets. I don’t eat much anyway, so it’d be a waste of $ to have me be in any type of buffet restaurant. And third, I’m a picky eater. Yeah, I know I’m a complicated human being. Now that that’s out of the way… OOOHHEAVENS, this restaurant was amazing! I just recently moved to Fresno so it was my first time eating here. I have gone to many other buffets throughout Fresno during my previous visits, but this is by far the best Asian –to be specific, Japanese– buffet. This past Sunday, after Church, I came here with my boyfriend and his family {His dad is a regular}. I can see why. The sushi buffet was yummy. And I’m very particular with sushi and I know everyone else is too {don’t you lie}. But I enjoyed them all, and yes, I ate all the choices bestowed in front of me. The sushi may have not been fresh, but with some extra sauce on the side, everything was good. As you can tell from this post, I did not die from«old» sushi. Next, I moved on to seafood. The seafood selection was angelic. I love me some good seafood. It may have not been the good ol’ high-class crap I would eat back in SD but I enjoyed it just as much. Alot of selections, which is a plus. I wish I had seen the raw oysters {over by the salad bar} before eating the cooked ones. By then I was already full. Don’t get me wrong, the cooked oysters were delicious, but I prefer raw. The parents are fans of the soup, which looked yummy and very oriental, a must try. My bf had Mongolian noodles, he said it was«the bomb». The bro had a fat plate of lobsters, which he seemed to enjoyed because it was all over the table and his face. Soo, after picking at all you can eat seafood, I moved on to «Chinese food” — eh nothing special. It was whatever. But honestly I think ALL Chinese food, no matter where you go, taste the same. Again, I’m not a fan but what the heck, I was at a buffet with my bf’s family, might as well try everything and make their money’s worth. And I’m glad I did. We left very satisfied. The staff was on their a-game, picking up our finished plates, refilling drinks, giving us more napkins without me having to ask for more, which in my books is awesome because everywhere else I have gone to so far in this town, I had to constantly wave down a waiter for more napkins. It was a busy Sunday but the staff was attentive. And football was on… sweet! The staff was constantly smiling, saying hi and bye AND thank you to people coming and going. Getting our bill and paying was quick. Gee, what else can I say? While walking out, I did notice the big board of cocktail drinks they offer– oooh, keeping that in mind. Oh, and a big plus, the place was clean. I literally HATE dirty and smelly asian restaurants, but this place was oriental, clean, and spacious. I read previous reviews and they were all bad. I don’t know if we got lucky this past Sunday or what, but I had a great experience. Already planning a second visit with the bf. I insisted we have a lunch date here asap. Can’t wait!

The place is decent and reasonably clean. There is a pretty big selection of food, and for an asian buffet, it is probably one of the better ones I have had. Some days are better than others. For the taste of the sushi, there is a reason they can do it the way they do. The fish they use is not the best, or the freshest. The rolls are actually good, but the nigeri(fish on ball of rice) almost always has the fish dried out. But it is ok… and I have never gotten sick from eating there. But I’ve only been there about 5 times. I will go back. The quality is actually very good when you consider the price.

Please please save yourself from this place! I wish I would have never wasted money here. We were looking to try something new and for some odd reason after driving by this place we decided to try it. I have to admit we walked up to the door and then turned around and walked back to car. After 2 minutes we decided to stay but it was a mistake. This place is sooo DIRTY! The bathroom was disgusting and the toilet seat was falling off. The food was old and cold. The only thing that was okay was the sushi but you could tell that it had been sitting for a LONG time. The soda and tea even tasted bad here. Overcharged and poor customer service. I will never return and I’m so glad I didn’t get sick.

Will say these guys are creative. Dished up some breaded shrimp onto my plate. It looked gray, the place just opened so it had to be fresh right? Guess it was, but after taking off the gray«bread» it was a ¼ inch long shrimp made to look like a 2 inch by 3 inch shrimp. WOW! Noticed the same sort of thing with some breaded chicken concoction. Sweet and weird chicken? Hard to read the little signs. I gave the place a two star because the sushi was the best thing going. Although, same as above, 90% rice, 10% protein. The help seemed alright. As soon as you come through the door, the little greeter lady asks if you want to spin the wheel. Costs $ 1, I said no. There is a something like a roulette wheel with, God knows what, installed into the places. The printing was small. I suppose you win a free trip to Clovis, that’s where this gut gurnard establishment is established.

The worst Asian buffet I’ve ever been to! God, I really hope that was chicken! The sauce on the«Korean bbq was suspect at best, the sushi should have been pulled HOURS ago and maybe the hostess could get off her cell phone to understand that I said water. The only thing that tasted right was the rice, the cheese wonton and the crab legs. No amount of soy sauce could fix the flavor. The entire time I was eating, I wondered if food poisoning would be an issue the next day. I will not eat here again. I should’ve paid attention the the other reviews! Oh, yes, the music. REALLY?!

I was impressed at the variety of foods they offered. They have a Mongolian BBQ station, a sushi bar, a typical Chinese buffet station and a desert and salad bar. The food was sort of bland. The only thing that was acceptable to me was the apple pie turnover with ice cream. The service of the waitress was very slow(of course she was the only one serving the reception room of about 75 guests.

ive been here well over 30 times. It’s really close to my place and it’s good sushi. Things to keep in mind. Don’t expect peppy service. Some people here are nice, most are just emotionless. this is a buffet remember. Everyone here has always been nice to my wife and I. Food is different depending on time of day and day. It seems like the crap is only a dinner option FYI. Food is always better early evening and Sunday’s. Basically when it’s busy food is good. Again it’s a buffet, so new food replaces empty trays. Obviously. Don’t expect the food to be fresh if the place is empty. I hope Sunday’s. Sushi is good most of the time. Almost always on Sunday’s. 4 observations/recommendations: 1. The birthday song is way to loud. 2. Smiles get tips– Clovis people expect happy service. 3. Play trendy American music at an acceptable but low audio level. Not some loud Asian track on repeat. I dare you to play country, oh that would be hilarious yet awesome. 4. Play movies/sports(sync the tvs) Daytime tv is not good or appropriate

Rude owner. I Asked if crab legs were coming out soon and he replied«you pay for dinner?» I told him of course I’m paying for dinner if I’m eating it. I’m like wtf?. Crab legs came out but it was not much in the tray. The owner was looking at us the time and he kept at pointing his finger at us while talking to his workers when we were eating. The owner made sure the next batch of crab legs didn’t come out until we paid the bill on my way out. No wonder the place was almost empty. The owner is a cheapskate. I’m never going back.

Been here one other time and based on my prior experience here I assumed it would be just as good but, unfortunately, it was not. Few of the food selections were old and tasted off. The only good thing here is their sushi selection. But I wouldn’t come back just for the sushi. Food was not fresh :-/

Last night was the last time I will be going there! The food was not fresh, it tasted old and it was only 6 pm when I went. The desert selection isn’t very good, not a whole lot to chose from. You have to scoop your own ice cream which is gross, I saw kids putting their hands on the ice cream. The Servers cant even speak English, they even stand there looking at you waiting for you to tip them which is very awkward as we were not done eating yet… they expect a tip when they wouldn’t even offer to refill our drinks. I would go somewhere else!!!

Its a comfort style Japanese-Korean-Chinese-American Buffet. The food here was fresh and the server was friendly and prompt. For $ 12.95 the buffet was very reasonable, not the highest quality but not the lowest quality food either. I did not get food poising on my visit to this place, and I was able to keep up with my healthy diet despite the huge selection of fried and oil gauged food they serve because you can have almost a carbless selection. They do have a huge selection, they had Sushi, Sashimi, Chicken Wings, Udon noodles, various soups, salad bar, dessert bar, ice cream, fruit bar, Chinese dish favorites, fusion asian favorites and some american treats too such as french fries and fried shrimp and chicken. The quality of food is just mediocre, but tasty. If you were hungry and did not want to spend too much individually on Japanese/Chinese/American fusion food, then this is the place to come. Place was reasonably clean and again server was very efficient to clean up plates. Was very friendly too.

I only come here for their fried crab and udon soup that they make for you on the spot. Everything else is mediocre at best. They have sushi but that shouldn’t be the reason you come here because you will be disappointed. Some servers are nice. The owner(?) was yelling really loud at an employee right in front of everyone. It was awkward and everyone in the room just stared at each other in silence. Never come here towards the end of dinner because the food is not fresh and they don’t continually replace items until the very end so all the good items are gone and you’re left with nothing much to choose from.

This is one of the worst chinese buffets I’ve been. I don’t even know why the name is japanese at all when they serve anything but japanese food. As soon as you get in, you see a dark place(maybe so you don’t see what you are eating) The maki rolls they’ve served it looked like it had been there for hours and the sushi is like inexistent… I did not see one with fresh fish, only the one with egg. The food in general… was like when you eat in the plane. Everything was bland and tasted almost the same. Of course, the cherry in the cake was the hair in the«Beef and Broccoli»(as you can see in the photo I posted). The soft ice cream machine was not working… Service is ok… the classic chinese girls who don’t speak good English but they try their best to serve you. Something I did not like either was to see the«so called» chef, sitting in the floor behind the food carts taking a break. What… they do not have a chair in the kitchen for that, so the poor person has to sit down in the floor in front of all the customers… come on !!! I would usually say that at least go to a buffet for the quantity and not the quality, but in this case… DON’T GO for one or another.
