this place is AMAZING, i went there for the first time the other day and even tho it was packed and the all you can eat menu was a little confusing at first everything i ordered was delicious! I will def go back — and highly recommend

Really annoyed with that old angry looking no smiling face Asian waitress. First off, you have already selected your items on the ayce list and that grumpy looking waitress comes back and tells you and your party to cross off some items from the list because«you can not finish it». That was rude AF! She’s not paying the god damn bills! There was no rules stating that you are limited except for the sashimi. It was a terrible experience. I felt like I should have put her on the spot there or talked to the manager. In the middle of eating some of the sushi rolls that my party and I ordered, she comes and asked if we’ll like to order more. I thought she meant if we wanted to order more off the list. I told her no thanks and she goes and cancelled all of the orders my party and I just recently ordered. I really wished I had a different waitress. First and last there. She needs a hug. Seems grumpy as heck.

This place has lots of surprise, but the disappointing types of surprises. I am only saying this because it does not meet my expectations of typical sushi places. The atmosphere felt dirty, it’s proven by the sticky floor under the table, and their dirty bathroom. The buffet: $ 25 per person for dinner for bad quality fish is so not worth it. The sushi rolls themselves were poorly made as well, as they were falling apart, and/or getting unrolled as I pick up a piece. For a sushi place, it is also very unusual that they never gave us wasabi and ginger. I had to ask for them, but when they gave them to me, they only gave me little bit of both. I dont know if they were optional, because when i looked at the next table, 1 person had alot of ginger and wasabi. Their menu lacks so much description. I couldn’t tell if they did that on purpose to make a surprise to the customers or the menu just really have a huge lack in descriptions. Some of the things that we ordered was the Crunch Roll. In the menu, it didn’t say that it had roasted coconut around it, until I ate one, and tasted coconut — not the flavor that I was looking for ever in a sushi roll. Don’t get me wrong, I like coconut, just not in sushi rolls. If I knew that there was coconut in it, I wouldn’t have ordered it. We also ordered Baby Shrimps. We expected just plain baby shrimp as there was no description at all in the menu. However, it came as an order of baby shrimps with some kind of cream, wrapped inside a fried wonton wrap. The fried calamari looked like onion rings, which to me was unusual. They are usually small rings, but the one that they have looked like onion rings. It was alright, nothing really special when it comes with the taste. Their service was good, and servers were mostly courteous. Our server was prompt, and there were other servers that were making sure that they are up-to-date with our buffet orders. I would probably not come back to this place. To me their main highlight is their service, but I dont think that is something I would want to come back for, especially when it comes to sushi.

I’ve been here for the all you can eat sushi multiple times usually service is okay but nothing over the top. I once went in with a group of 6 and was told we couldn’t do all you can eat because it was too close to close(it was 2 hours before). Great for a casual date night

Food is okay. Service is horrible. Had an order to go and waited 45 mins for my order before I said something and they hadn’t even started my order… Not going back.

I just had the lunch offering and none of us tried the AYCE. This place offers great value for money and has huge portions. Quality of the raw sashimi is decent however they do not use sushi grade rice on their sushi which is disappointing. This place draws comparisons to YOLO, another decent place with great value but has similar issues with the rice. Service is very friendly and attentive otherwise. I’ll be back to try their AYCE at some point on their weekend music nights.

This place is amazing! They are so friendly, great service and always ready to outdo themselves! I get the same roll a lot(Geisha, it’s my favorite!) and they arrange it in a different design almost every time — they keep it fun and interesting! They are always so kind to my little boy and it’s become his favorite restaurant as well! This place would be hard to top if you are looking for sushi!

I thought I would really like this place… but, no. The food was good yes, the service was okay, but the atmosphere and environment was bad. Walked in and stood awkwardly at the front for a few minutes not knowing if we should sit or if we should wait. Finally got told to sit at a table pointed out to us, walked over and felt my feet sticking to the floor as I walked. Already a bad impression and I hadn’t even sat down yet. Upon sitting down I noticed cold air blowing on our legs… which was strange. Didn’t know where it was coming from but it was uncomfortable. When we got our waters, it tasted like it came straight from the tap. Most of the time I can’t tell a difference, but this time I could. Bf ordered a soda because he couldn’t deal with it. Before we even got our food they had played«Fancy» by Iggy Azalea twice. Thought that was humorous really… also annoying. To the food though — I ordered the Super Philly which was tasty. Not the best I’ve had, but still good. Didn’t say they were going to put lemon or lettuce on it which was odd to me, but easily taken off so whatever. Bf ordered spicy fried rice which he didn’t know came with vegetables in it(but honestly, all fried rice does it seems like so that’s his own fault) so he didn’t eat it. I thought it was pretty good! Also ordered a chicken teriyaki bowl which he said was pretty good. Lastly — the ladies bathroom. Bleh. The door was nasty. Just take a look at the pic and you’ll see. tl;dr: Food was good, but the service and environment kind of took away from it. If I go again, I won’t be dining in.

This was the first time I went there for the sushi buffet for my birthday and I got to say, it was good the first round until the second round where they served this piece of fish that was over due. I uaually can eat anything. From raw to cooked seafood. It was my first time at that restraunt, so when they bought the roles of sushi out, I saw a roll of sushi that was out of place from the other. I did not know why that fish was a dark color compared to the salmon pink color, but I decided to eat it because i didnt want to be rude to my auntie who took me out for my birthday and that piece of sushi tasted awful! It was surely rotten! I got really sick that day and was not happy because it was my birthday and I had to stay home and curl up in a ball with a stomachache for 2 days. Would not go there anymore. I don’t want to risk getting sick again.

Reasonably priced, good, traditional dishes, including chawan mushi, and tempura. Also decent sushi, pretty good Hamachi kama, and some tasty kalbi. Get there early, it gets busy by 6pm!!! And the beer is COLD!!!

My husband and I ate here for my birthday dinner last month. We don’t usually get a babysitter to go out so it was a nice treat for us. We both had the dinner all you can eat since we are from Reno, we didn’t know clovis had any AYCE style places so we were excited to try it. I have to say the food was good and the service was decent. It was pretty busy since it was a weekend. I am excited to come back this next week for my husband’s birthday!

Love their all you can eat sushi menu. If I’m not wanting a lot of food from all you can eat the OMG is amazing and definitely worth the price

I’ve been here 3 times and have mixed feelings. The all you can eat menu is fun but it stinks because you aren’t allowed to take your left overs. I love having snacks for later so that really bites. I was tempted to sneak in my own Tupperware container in my purse. I have also gotten some bad cuts of sushi, yuck. They use a lot of Japanese mayo. It takes over the rolls. I always have to ask for wasabi. Most places put it on the plate for you. Sort of weird. Service is so so. Not much atmosphere.

«There’s a reason I am getting a «bargain» for $ 25 for dinner and $ 20 for lunch at Ooi. I Don’t even think of setting foot in an all-you-can-eat or buffet sushi establishment normally, but tonight I said«let it go, because the cold don’t bother me anyways“and try it. It wasn’t horrible to be honest, I actually thought it was a value for money, just avoid the raw fish if you can and stick to the americanized roll, basically what Im saying– leave your sushi elitist behind and come as a naïve american who doesn’t know what sushi is and you probably would have a great dining experience and be more bloated than a 9 month pregnant lady. Pulled the chair on a Sunday night at Ooi, filled the soy sauce dish to the top in and mixed the slab of nose attacking wasabi, then ordered more than enough rolls stuffed with cream cheese and deep fried crab and savor some uncooked cuts of fishy fish atop balls of rice glob, I just broke all 12 of sushi commandments right away. But who cares when Im dining in an Americanized sushi place(a place where sushi etiquette doesn’t apply). A place that offer an all you can eat sushi and appetizers for $ 25. Its a value for money sushi restaurant, but please please please avoid the sashimi or the raw fishes here. Im saying this because I had the horrible experience of of trying some of the fishiest and nastiest raw fish in Clovis/Fresno. The cooked stuff is actually quite enjoyable, but the raw fish was worse then getting tortured for days in a middle eastern war torture chamber. The service was actually friendly, courteous and fast. And the interior although straying far away from looking Japanese, is actually really nice, comfortable and nicely finished. This place fills up really quick on a Sunday, so coming early is advisable. Additionally on weekends they have live Jazz band playing inside.

Locked doors at 9:20? Really? Why have the open light on? They should say they close at 9 and leave by 10. Clearly there were still people inside. I’ve had the sushi here a few times before and it was pretty basic. Won’t be bothering with this one again.

I went here to try the sushi rolls only and wasn’t disappointed. All of the rolls I tried were very good and the sauces topping the rolls were all excellent. The service was great. Didn’t get a chance to try the sashimi so I can’t compare that to other sushi places but as far as the rolls go they are on par with other places in Fresno/Clovis.

Met some friends there for lunch. Very clean with nice ambiance and décor. Huge sushi menu along with many traditional cooked menu items. No teppan yaki though. I ordered the Avocado Bomb expecting a roll and it was a huge mound of deep fried soft shell crab and regular krab(yes artificial crab) surrounded by at least a full avocado. It was delicious r but ridiculously huge. Friends had teriyaki beef lunch plate which was good size, spicy tuna roll, and a deep friend California roll… All very good. Service was good but they messed up our order more than once.

$ 24.95 for AYCE Came by recently for dinner on a Saturday evening, and to our surprise it was not as busy. Ordered the seaweed salad which tasted great, and the portion itself was much larger than what I am used to getting which is good. It came with some type of shredded, white vegetable which I can’t seem to think of the name of it off the top of my head. Bulldog roll was good, and consisted of 5 – 6 rolls? Practically tempura shrimp, with Unagi and Unagi sauce. Kinda overloaded with rice, but nothing too crazy. I don’t quite get the salad served with it since it doesn’t really go with it well-but that’s just me. Orange Blossom roll my gf ordered smelled fresh, and tasted really good according to her. Service was hit and miss. It seems like the older servers here are a clusterfuck and seem to think their job is done once the food is served to you– we had to wave them down for everything! Small sushi bar here as well, and the atmosphere here is much more quiter compared to say, I Love Sushi and other Japanese restaurants.
