The service here is okay. Most of the employees are rude and not helpful. However, every time that I get help from dan, I have excellent service. The only reason they get 3 and not 2 stars is because of Dans excellent service and it’s convenient location

The manager John and his team were amazing. Had an issue with our boat trailer. These guys went above and beyond to help us out. Got us back out on the road. Vacation crisis averted! Again, amazing service!

I was at this auto part store today. I was at a total lost with a thousand questions about buying some tools and needed help. The sales rep, Lee and Sergio, saw the lost look in my eyes and came to help me. They were very kind, insightful and very patient with my questions. I’ve been to other stores before, their service does not compare to Sergio or Lee. Great customer service, human resources should get a reward for hiring these two great guys.

Customer service is so low a 1 is too good for them. Wouldn’t honor an online offer even when the page said they would. Had to go home and buy online and come back. Shitty service.

Horrible service techs!!! The employees milk the clock like crazy. I’ve been a service tech for years so it was appalling to watch guys working at a snails pace. I was there to swap wheels and tires with a friend, it should’ve taken 60 – 90 minutes tops. We were there just short of 4 hours! I watched one of the guys that was supposed to be changing my tires push his personal motorcycle around the shop twice when he should’ve been working on my truck. I will never advise anyone to take a vehicle to a PepBoys anywhere!

Pep boy’s service is so slow at this location and if you are a fleet car be ready to due all their work for them. This was the second time here. I will not be coming back.

I used to bring my car here all the time because i thought they were reliable but I’m afraid to go back ever again.
I brought my car in because i thought something was wrong with my brake. The service started around 12:30pm then they old me what was wrong with my car. I was looking at about an $ 1000 bill until my Boyfriend told me he was able to do some of the work him self. So, I only needed Pep Boys to take care of one part. Which was only suppose to take 2hours which turned to 4hours. I didn’t end up leaving until they closed.
Before i left the manager approached me a apologized for the long wait and gave me a generous discount on the service.
The scary part was that when my boyfriend and his friend was working on the car the next day to change out the brake pads and front rotors. When they were taking the tire off they notices that the 4 lug nuts holding my passenger side tires were loose. They were not tightened. When they told me i was able to remove them just with my fingers. On top of that all the nails on the rotor and the nut on the back of the rotor, not sure what those pieces are called, but they were all finger loose.
I was so scared and shocked. Good thing i didn’t go on the freeway or hit any big bumps or dips. My tire could have come off completely.
It just make me feel unsafe and that they don’t care about the safety of their customers.

Normally I don’t write reviews but PepBoys helped me out big time. Needed my front brakes replaced and went to a competitor first as they had a coupon. They quoted me $ 320 for what I needed and wanted to keep my car as they felt it was unsafe to drive. I refused to do this as I had no way to get home. On a whim I went to this PepBoys and got a quote for $ 250 and they could have it done the same night. 90 minutes later they were done and they were able to knock off $ 40 and also found out why my check engine light was on, for free. Dan the service guy and Kyle the mechanic really hooked me up. Will definitely come back here again.

A bit busy had to wait 2hrs to get my oil change done but was good service overall. They do make appointments how ever my service light came on so I had to take care of it. They surprised me when they made sure I was absolutely happy with my service and asked for Unilocal feedback.

I went into Pepboys this morning with a nail dug so deep in my tire it was barely visible. I thought I would be paying $ 30 for a patch job, but ended up paying $ 300 for a new set of tires and installation. When I got my car back my iPod Shuffle and car alarm battery was missing; I found the battery but the iPod remained missing. I contacted the manager who searched my vehicle, then proceeded to look at the videos. In the video we discovered the employees took my vehicle for a quick, fun ride (ramming up the speed, driving my car like a sports car, with the nail still in the tire), and setting off the car alarm and temporarily manually disconnecting the power to it. The video was not over, but I did not want to see more of it; what I saw upset me even more. He gave me $ 50 cash for a replacement iPod Shuffle. He explained there has never been a history of theft or a crime of this nature at this Pep Boys, his workers are good, honest people, and he did not want me to think that they would steal my iPod. He felt the least they could do was to acknowledge this misfortune that took place while my vehicle was under their care and try their best to fix it. I told him if he found my iPod or it pops up somewhere, eg fell on the ground, I would return the money to him because all I wanted was my iPod. Later today, when I had some free time, I was ransacking my stuff, and found my iPod. I returned the money immediately to him, in person. I felt embarrassed for myself. I threw a huge fit over something minuscule, and nonetheless, it was my own mistake. I appreciate their sincerity, and empathy in my time of confusion. I also appreciate their professionalism in regards to fixing my car, and their response when I returned the money. In reflection to the biggest problems other respondents complained about on here, my opinion is, despite the long wait from the time the car is admitted to the time it is released, overall, it is worth the time and service. They take walk-in’s, too. If they tell you it will be busy, and ask you to come back at a later time or tell you will have to wait, then show up and wait. As I was waiting for my car, my elephant ears picked up the same return time for three customers that morning. The cars are checked in the order their Work Order Forms are received. A phone call requesting an appointment time doesn’t guarantee a place holder nor quicker services. In summary, this Pep Boys is now my go-​to car shop. They’re no where near perfect, but neither am I. I can always use more good people in my life.

My daughter moved up to Clovis earlier this year and has a 2001 Nissan Frontier. While it does have a lot of problems, I felt very comfortable with Tony at that location. He advised me as to what was critical and what was «nice to fix», understanding that we’re on a limited budget. I felt he was very upfront and really helped my daughter out.

I had a last minute issue at night with my battery. Carissa took the time and made room for me just before closing to purchase a battery and check my Armada. I will continue to shop at this store as a result of superior customer service.

Terrible terrible experience… First girl at counter says be right with you and leaves 2 minutes later to lunch. Finally get service help and take care of order the guy tells me 1 ½ to 2 hours so I go shopping and to lunch. Come back after 1 ½ hours and they have barely started the car. Needless to say over 4 hour wait terrible service!!! I wouldn’t buy a windshield wiper from this place again let alone get a repair done!

The wait time to receive any assistance was literally so long, that I had enough time to research & call other automotive services using my cellphone. I left after I located & spoke to a couple of their competitors down the street.

My aunt had an issue with her car and she took it to Pep Boys to fix it. They told her it would be a day or so. After a few days, they call her and tell her they made a mistake and messed up the car more and it would be another couple days. This goes on for two weeks. They never offered her a rental car. She has a disabled child that has appointments with doctors and therapists and was not able to go to these appointments. After two weeks, she asked for a rental car. They told her they would get her a rental car and she could come and get it. She never heard back. She called again and the manager said she could have his own personal car, complete with his baby’s seat in the back??? So she took that for a day, then the car was complete. They charged her $ 1500 for a $ 500 job that took 2 weeks and should have taken 2 days.

This is based on recent SMOG check service experience only: I was short on time and needed help asap. The wait was a little long, but given the large number of customers in the middle of the day, it was expected. Nevertheless, my car was in/​out in under thirty minutes. Their special is 29.99 + tax and certificate… out the door, I paid under $ 40.00. Ong was very helpful and the service manager was good about giving «we’re almost done» updates. Overall, great experience and would recommend for SMOG checks.

I’ve been here several times and they always find additional problems with my car. They always seem to find problems that were never there previously. I can’t say enough to avoid this place. Customer service is terrible and they take a very long time.

If I could give this place zero stars I would definitely do it. This place is robbing consumers. Not a good experience. I know I’m not known for giving places a great review. I have high standards and it is what it is… Let me just say that I knew exactly what was wrong with my vehicle and wanted a fair quote on getting it repaired. As its obvious I’m not a mechanic or mechanically inclined. So I decided to call this «dump» knows as Pep Boys… big mistake. They quoted me over 200 dollars more than anyone else had. Not to mention, they «found» other «problem» areas that needed to apparently be addressed. Yet, these «problem» areas have never been an issue and still aren’t. They just wanted to get money out of me because I’m young and inexperienced. However, I’m not stupid. Far from it. So, I really suggest you go elsewhere if you need to have your car fixed. You will not get a decent quote and you’ll end up with «problem» areas that you car doesn’t have. Plus, the men working there are total homophobes and don’t have any communication skills. Or interpersonal skills. Unilocal please come out with zero star rating… we need it!!!

bought a new battery and changed it on the spot. something blew out, but i didn’t know what it was. car didn’t start at all. asked a pep boy mechanic and he said they can «check it out» for $ 89.99, but he thinks most likely it was my car chip which can cost me up to $ 1500 — $ 2000 from the dealership.
Now i’m a really poor college FEMALE student so there was no way i was just going to automatically tow my car to the dealership.
Long story short, i towed my car to my apartment where I had my non-​mechanic uncle look at it and found out it was just a blown out fuse which was only $ 3.

Pep boys has seriously lost my business and they can seriously SUCK IT.

I was visiting family and while I was in Fresno, figured that I would get two front tires changed. My mechanic back home usually tells me what he is charging me for and which things are extra. NOT HERE! I had to ask them to itemize the extremely high quote and have them take some things off.
Service was terrible — just bad all over. The guy behind the counter was condescending and wanted to rush through the process rather than take time to explain a few simple things. Never again will I go there! Overpriced too!
