I loved my first experience! The lady at the front desk was super helpful! She walked me through the packages they offered and help me choose one that was best for me. She even helped me pick out a tanning lotion. I really appreciated how she didn’t try to push certain products on me instead she listen to what I wanted and recommended accordingly! The room was very clean. The fans and wipes are a nice touch I thought! On top of all this the pricing I found was reasonable. I’d highly recommend this tanning salon!

Bad business decision by Manager on Duty!
I searched the web for a Mystic Tanning Salon near me and was linked to the website. The website did everything it was supposed to– informed me of the products, Services, hours of operation and the Promotional Packages — DONE DEAL!
Now, to just go in and sign up for the promotional offer and buy all my gear– tanning eyes, pre-​spray lotions, post spray lotions, and maintenance sprays, etc. And then sign up my wife as well while I am ther (and she’ll need some gear too– oh, the price of beauty!) — EASY, RIGHT… WRONG!
Got there and was met at the counter by a very sweet, attentive employee who greeted me and I told her what I was there for. She showed me the Membership Packages and I let her know that I would like to take advantage of the Promotional Offer and sign up right away. It was at this point that I was informed that it is their policy that I NEEDED TO PRINT OUT THE WEBPAGE THAT HAD THE PROMOTIONAL COUPON IN ORDER TO SIGN UP SO THAT THE MANAGER COULD «STAPLE IT TO MY FILE»… So letting this sweet and kind employee (she really was!) know that I was on my mobile phone and didn’t have a printer in my car, she checked with her Manager in the back who confirmed the policy.
I said ok, does it make sense from a business standpoint to walk away from potentially $ 200.00/month in membership fees for my wife and I (annually $ 2,400.00, two years $ 4,800, three years $ 7,200.00, Etc…) PLUS, initial and ongoing purchases of pre/​post/​maintenance lotions, purchases of «specials», upgrade of services, gift certificates, additional referrals to friends (and I got a lot of them!!)… And I was informed «Yes, I’m sorry, my Manager needs to be able to attach something to your file so they know where the sale came from…»
WOW, if you don’t see this business around in another 12 months, you’ll know it had nothing to do with The 4 P’s (Product, Price, Promotion, Place of business) — nor friendly, attentive employees — but good old fashioned inexperienced, mismanagement and not understanding the bigger picture of business.
UPDATE:
Finally Found a place right next to my gym! Signed my wife and I up for 4 spray tans a month for $ 400.00/month plus 12 weeks of «red light therapy» $ 300.00, and 2 lay down bed tanning memberships! Plus all the startup gear needed «175.00»…

Originally I was going to go to Tropic Breeze, but they were closed (Sunday) even though their website said they were opened. Since Sunsational is only a few blocks away I figured I’d go here since they are open 7 days a week! I’m so glad Tropic Breeze was closed because Sunsational is amazing! They have great, helpful and friendly staff, offer FREE GOGGLES TO EVERY TANNER, offer music, fans, stickers and more! Even better: GREAT PRICES! I’ll definitely be recommending Sunsational to all of my friends, and to all of you Unilocalers! This place gets an A+++

Just got a great deal from a helpful employee! The only place I will tan always clean and I never burn :)
