Extensive menu for a very small place owned by very nice people. I must start with a disclaimer: This restaurant is owned by a previous student of mine and her husband. That said, it’s still excellent food. The owner is also the chef and he is very accommodating. One person in our group cannot have fish or nuts, and the chef made a special point of fixing food just for her. We had excellent hot soup to start us off on a cold winter’s day. Hot n sour was very good. Crispy tofu and karee puff made for excellent appetizers. I would not recommend a usual fav of mine, spring rolls. This was the one disappointing dish. Then came Thai salad, sweet n sour pork, broccoli beef, and pad see eew with beef. More than we could eat, but good to go home. Thai Express is way out in the country, at the end of the road on Shaw Ave. It was named China Town, and the new sign has not been put up yet, but don’t let that stop you from going into this tiny spot for some good food and warm hospitality.
