Very tasty breakfast menu with train and cowboy theme. Rustic atmosphere, very friendly staff. Family owned. A bit of Americana in a semi rural location. Picture a western diner.

So I went to this place this last weekend. When we came in we were greeted by the owner a «teddy bear looking kind of gentleman». We were seated quickly and drink order taken right away. As I looked around, this place was positively a place that someone with ADD,(ME) will always have something to look at. See the pictures. The server was so sweet and just full of sparkle, unfortunately, they do not put names on their tickets so I will have to call her server 4. She was very prompt and just made you smile when she came around. We both ordered omelettes. There was no table discussion. Everything was a perfect combination of meat, veggies and eggs. With levels of cheese interwoven. Delicious! It is a little out of the way but great for breakfast. The do serve lunch and breakfast everyday and dinner on the weekends. I want to go back and try more menu items.

Our go to place for breakfast. Good food. Good portions. Resonable price and fantastic service. Lunch and dinner menus are good too. Especially like the coconut shrimp.

My breakfast here was just good, better than fair. The biscuits and gravy needed more spice and flavor along with the potatoes/bell peppers. The service is very good with the staff courteous and helpful. Clean tables, clean bathrooms and a good staff actually makes this place a good place dine with family and friends. 2 stars is given for my breakfast and a 4 star for the rest.

We had a staff breakfast here recently and were all impressed. For such a large party, the speed of service was amazing! Our food was great and we made it to work on time due to the efficiency of the staff. We will make this our new breakfast spot for sure!

Have ate this restaurant several times now and it has never disappointed. Friendly service, good food, reasonable prices and if you’re there on the right day you might get entertainment with your breakfast. Brought my parents for Sunday breakfast and they were impressed with the food and ambiance.

The food was delicious home cooking. I had the Norms Omelette with a side of pancake(heaven in my mouth), my fiancé had a chicken salad sandwich with fries and a salad(refreshing). The service was prompt and very friendly. Overall, great experience! I will definitely come back again

This is one of my favorite places I only wish they were open more. The breakfast biscuits and gravy are awesome for lunch and dinner I am all about the Atlantic RR or the Western burger

This was my first visit, and my expectations were pretty high after all the raving about it that I’ve heard … First, the positives: The servers were friendly and attentive. I wish I had more than that … Now the food: I ordered a small garlic chicken pizza and was sad to find that its ONLY flavor came from the Parmesan cheese sprinkled on it. The garlic was completely absent, and not even the chicken had any flavor. I had the strawberry shortcake for dessert and with that, was sad to find that in the Land of Fresh Produce and Roadside Fruit Stands, the dish wasn’t even made with fresh strawberries. The simple addition of fresh local strawberries would have earned this review an extra star. The restaurant was stuffy and humid inside, not very comfortable at all — it’s not pleasant to walk indoors from a beautiful, breezy evening into a muggy restaurant with no air circulating. I’d go back — there are a few other dishes on the menu I’d like to try, but they’re mostly breakfast items and I don’t get out this way too often. When I do get back I hope to have a more positive review to share.

I used to eat here with my family when I was a kid. I just recently found you guys again. The food is still just as AMAZING as it was when I was younger. I’m glad I got to show my boyfriend one of my favorite childhood restaurants. Now he’s hooked. the location is far from me, but its totally worth the drive!

This is a true family restaurant! I absolutely love The Red Caboose! We go for dinner once a week and never feel disappointed! They have the greatest service and my favorite potato salad and freshly baked cobbler! So so good!

Not bad, not outstanding. The service was friendly and we were seated quickly, the person bringing drinks was very fast, but our waitress took quite a while to get around to taking our order and her section was fairly empty so I’m not sure what that was about. She was very personable and friendly when she did finally get to us. Food arrived in fairly short order. I’d actually say the food was only two and a half stars, but Unilocal doesn’t let you go halfway, so I’m rounding up because of the smiling service. We ordered french toast, eggs and sausage(the french toast sandwich) and it was fine. Nothing to write home about. Eggs were rubbery and my french toast was tough. Decent sausage. Coffee was weak. I will say that the food on other tables looked good — in particular the omelettes and hash browns looked like they were very well done — so I will give this place another try next time I am in town and hopefully get to add another star.

This place was only mediocre in my opinion. Quality of food is better than Denny’s but not by much. We both ordered different omelets: The veggies were cooked well– not too soggy and not too raw. Omelette was good and the country potatoes as a side was also good. It had a mixture of onions and bell peppers. Pancakes were good– fluffy Biscuit and gravy lacked flavor. The biscuits were hard and barely warm while the gravy was just a soupy mess. It had the small town feel and seemed like a bunch of regulars come in which was nice. Meal was about $ 40 with tip— a bit too pricey for what we ordered IMO

Great place for breakfast. The train Décor is so cute. My kids love watching the train that travels along the track around the ceiling. You must order biscuits and gravy. yum. Great family restaurant and the BESTBISCUITSANDGRAVYIN town!

Finally stopped by this place after driving by it a number of times. There was no wait at 930am on a holiday weekend. The staff was very friendly and I guess the setting stuck with the countryish theme. We ate in the extended part of the restaurant which is covered by a tent. Swamp coolers kept the heat to a minimum but it was morning still so I’m not sure how comfortable it would be in the full mid-day heat. I had the«Train wreck» which was just mixed together breakfast, good mixed together breakfast. Prices were ok.

I have always enjoyed breakfast here. The owner and wait staff are extremely friendly and always want to make sure you are happy. As some of the previous comments stated I have been in when they have been short staffed. I know it can be a challenge being a mom and pop operation when you have employees call off without warning. The two times I’ve been in they were overly apologetic and understood service didn’t meet expectations. The food here is very consistent and is good. It’s not mom’s home cooking, but in my opinion is better than the big restaurant chains. The waitresses always have a smile and are very friendly. This is a great place to have a relaxing breakfast. No it’s not fast, but if you want that go to a drive thru. We are usually in and out in 20 to 25 minutes.

Evil loves cabooses(cabeese?). We are a caboose man. We love big cabooses. We love round cabooses. We love heart shapped cabooses. We love the Red Caboose! The Red Caboose Café does great breakfast. The portions are big and the food is delicious. If you go there, keep in mind that this is a family friendly place, so there will be lots of kids. You’ll also have Fox News on all the tv’s. Since I’m Evil, we like Fox News, so this was fine with us. The one thing that prevents the Red Caboose from getting that covetted 5th star is that the service can be a bit slow and they frequently have problems with«stuff». For example, the last time we were there, they ran out of water. Huh? How do you run out of water? Apparently, there was a plumbing issue… so no coffee with our breakfast, etc. Oh well, the food was still good!
