Good food, nice ladies except for one who wasn’t the friendliest but maybe she was having a bad day. But loved the food.

Dinner last night was excellent. Great flavor and wonderful portions. The owner personally comes by to make sure you are enjoying your dinner. The girls are very attentive. The soup was great and the Kung Pao Seng dinner for two was outstanding.

#253. From the outside at first glance, this place doesn’t look promising. But don’t judge a book by it’s cover! I was here on a Sunday night and the restaurant was almost entirely occupied. If you’re looking for authentic Chinese food, this place might not be for you, as it is a huge hit with the Chinese fast food crowd(think kung pao chicken, honey walnut prawns, fried rice, etc). However, there is a second menu with many authentic Northern Chinese dishes. If you can read Chinese or know what you are looking for, you might want to take a look at that secret menu. If you can’t, bring your Chinese buddy! We ordered the house chicken, chow ma noodles, chow mein, and scallops. I liked the chow mein best. The house chicken was good, but too salty. Scallops were juicy. Prices were fairly cheap in comparison to those in the Bay Area. Had a decent meal here overall. There aren’t many authentic Chinese restaurants in the area and this one is actually pretty good. Would come back again. __________ My 2¢: — Ask for the second menu if you want a look at some of their authentic dishes. — They have lunch specials!

Third visit, so time to write a review. This is one of those places that is a really good bargain for the price, AND serves some really good food… I finally decided to try them out again(the last time I visited was more than a decade ago), and I have to admit that their food is really good. My wife and I have ordered from them three times in the last two months, and every single visit has been consistently good. Since we make it a point to order different items every time, it would be hard to review every single dish. I can say that the only one we didn’t like was the crispy beef. Honestly, it was way too chewy, and not crispy at all. This is one that will rip out your fillings if you’re not careful. Also, they do use a lot of salt. Their dishes can be a bit salty at times. Highlights have been the Mandarin Chicken, the Szechuan Beef, the Crab Rangoons, and their house fried rice. We’ve honestly been completely happy with the majority of the cuisine(aside from the crispy beef). Aside from the fact that they serve good food, their prices are VERY good. They are almost half the cost of other Chinese take-out places in Clovis, and the food is just as good, if not better than most of them. Also, on a personal note, I am impressed with the amount of meat they include in their dishes. One thing I hate is when you pay good money for a «meat» dish, and then end up with a container full of veggies with MAYBE an ounce of meat. Not at Tsing Tao… They LOAD up their dishes with meat. You order Kung Pao Chicken? You get mostly chicken. Mongolian Beef? Yep… mostly actual beef. Even their fried shrimp is generous on the shrimp. I give them four stars simply because I feel they are a bit heavy-handed with the salt, but otherwise, this is one of my new«go-to» places. I would recommend this place to anyone in the Clovis area looking for a good Chinese take-out.

First time here and the food was good. My dad found a long black hair in his soup but it didn’t slow him down. The service was good and fast. We got there around 6 thankfully because there was a line out the door as we were leaving. The food had a good flavor and left everyone in the party pleased.

As a Chinese food connoisseur who has tasted some of the best Chinese food in Asia, I have to say the food here pales in comparison to the authentic food I know and have tasted, but being in America(let alone Clovis) where authentic Chinese food is difficult to find, the food here is actually quite good despite lacking the authenticity, with the added bonus that its price is ridiculously affordable. The menu at Tsing Tso caters prominently to the American palate with generic American Chinese offerings such as Kung Pao Chicken, honey walnut shrimp and orange chicken. However, the menu does incorporate some real Chinese like dishes, for example sizzling beef with mix vegetable, not many but there are a few listed if one was to look and take the risk to try. The restaurant itself isn’t fancy, the décor is tawdry and look kind of dated. However the place is clean and seats groups easily. The service itself has always been pleasant, and the waitress although vaguely speaks english is understandable, and is able to communicate. Ive experienced two occasions here, the first coming for lunch, where they have a cheap lunch set starting as low as $ 7, it wasn’t amazing, but it wasn’t horrible. The second was ordering takeout when I was vegan. I tried the bean curd with brown sauce $ 6.50 and Szechuan Bean curd for $ 6.50. The szechuan beancurd was my favorite by far, since the taste had a kick of heat to it from the chilis, while the taste had a good balance of light sweetness and touch of saltiness. I do compliment the restaurant for being very generous with the tofu in my dish, I had so many pieces that I felt contented with the serving. The brown sauce bean curd, was also quite good, a silky savory tasting brown sauce topped over a perfectly deep fried bean curd. Tsing Tao clearly lacks in being an authentic Chinese restaurant, however once carefully inspecting the menu, I discover that they do have some offerings of real Chinese dishes, not many but at least some. Therefore for those looking to savor the true delicacy of Chinese cuisine this place might disappoint, but for anyone who celebrates at the sight of orange chicken and deep fried shrimp in sauce, you are in for a treat.

Always excellent food, service, and smiling employees!!! Every time I move, I miss this place. I call in my lunch order and drive there and it is always fresh, hot, and waiting for me. I would say I’m a regular but you know you’re doing something right when you have a small location that has a great deal of regular customers and you’ve been in the same place since 1988!!! If you haven’t been you, it’s a MUST!

This is, by far, the best Chinese restaurant in Fresno. If you haven’t been here, you have missed out. Last night we had the Honey Walnut Shrimp, Ginger Beef, Sweet/Sour Pork and Tsing Tao Fried Rice. Delicious! The Ginger Beef just melts in your mouth. The Honey Walnut Shrimp is a little tangy and delicious. Start off with a bowl of their sizzling rice or egg flower soup. You can’t go wrong… We will certainly be back!

Not only the best Chinese food, but definitely one of the best meals in Fresno. period! We had pao-pao platter large. Should be named huge! A meal in itself, everything most delicious. Crispy beef, tsing Tao chix and Hunan beef all 10⁄10. Couldn’t be better. Lots leftover. Very generous portions. The staff and reception are warm and welcoming. Nothing bad here to say. Excellent in every way

Ok we are not coming back We went there and order the Business Lunch Special. Service was not friendly Ordered fried rice on that order and was presented with steamed rice. Informed the server and she stated it was fried rice. Too much corn starch used making the«gravy« Everyone bland/underseasoned.

I have yet to find better chinese food in Clovis/Fresno. This place is consistently good. I mainly go for the Kung Pao Chicken, get it extra spicy! It has zucchini and peanuts too. Also delicious is the sweet and sour. Pork, chicken, shrimp, whichever is good. They deep fry it and then toss it in tons of sauce with pineapple, carrots, and peppers. Don’t forget the rice! A must have, it is so greasy and so delicious I can’t get enough. Same goes for the spring rolls. I could eat a whole carton of fried rice and order of spring rolls and then die a very happy, very fat lady.

Sizzling rice soup a pleasant starter. Tried the crispy beef and Kung Pao San Yang, which were very good. The atmosphere is very quiet. Felt awkward at first, but it was actually nice eating our meal in peace.

I was staying at the Holiday inn, Clovis for work. Around 7ish I decided to go for walk and food, I checked a few places and decided fr the Japanese Restaurant, but when I got there it was crowded. This restaurant was next to it, so I when in. The food was okay, for its price. $ 25 for 1 combination dinner and 1 appetizer… Egg Rolls smelled like they were fried on old oil, the soup tasted like burnt rice(I’m not sure if that is the flavor of the soup; since I’ve never had it before) I had the honey walnut shrimp and even though I liked that the shrimp wasn’t covered on a thick layer of flour, and it wasn’t sliced, at least that’s a plus. However, it was also oily, funny because I could taste the flavors of the honey and the old oil at the same time. It was accompanied with white rice, the rice was good and the only thing that didn’t taste it like burnt. In addition, the waitress just came 4 times, to bring my menu and water, to take my order, to bring my food and to bring my check. I had to wait each time to ask for a water refill. I would have understand if the restaurant was busy; but there was just 5 tables besides mine, and 4 waitresses. In conclusion neither the service; nor the food was good. I’m definitely not coming back.
