You get what you pay for. It is reasonably priced and I thought my food was delicious. I got the veggie chow mein and it was delicious and not only that, a HUGE portion. It could be for lunch and dinner! Their miso soup was delicious – but it was so hot it burnt my mouth. I would recommend letting cool down for at least 5 minutes before trying it. They’re really fast! Pretty good place. I will definitely return if I’m in need of a good cheap lunch!

We ate here before going to the Maya Theater and the food was hot, freshly cooked, plentiful [we ended up taking leftovers into the theater] and very tasty! I had the soup special with chicken, beef and shrimp [6], noodles and bok choi. Yum. I’m guessing the owner/manager was at the register, he was a gracious host. The worker cleaning the floor joined the manager to thank us for visiting. I am a sucker for appreciation. We will definitely return.

Made a quick stop for some snack, quick service, awesome chicken fried rice and that’s about all I have to say. The interior is very clean and organized so there’s no mess after a busy day of customers. Nevermind about the portion too… it’s huge!

Husband and I loved it. Apple pork was new to us but we liked it. The Mongolian beef was perfect n full of flvor. Chowmein was delicious and so was the fried rice. Our orange chicken was not what was expected but was still really good!

I haven’t had anything else, but the Mongolian beef. It was delicious and full of flavor. Every other comment says that Panda Express is better, but if you want to try a different style of cooking then I would recommend coming here. The restaurant itself needs to develop in its marketing and display, but the food and staff are great.

Food was not good. I appreciate the staff for trying because the place is new but as for the food, you’re better off w Panda Express. I’m sorry, but if someone actually likes the food, then they never had good authentic Asian food.

My first time at Wok It Out was on 12÷6÷2015. The food was excellent! I had Mongolian Beef with fried rice. The employees were nice and the restaurant very clean.

I don’t really get all the bad reviews here. I have only tried the fried rice here since I just wanted to grab a quick bite and I was pleasantly surprised. The portion was humongous and it was not over-salted, had a nice«wok» char on the rice and the shrimp was juicy and delicious. Of course it is not gourmet but it that’s not what they are going for. I’ll be back to try other items

Excellent and big portions for a great price; average price is $ 7. Too quiet though; makes you not want to talk.

The staff was friendly and the place was very clean. I’m usually a huge Chinese food fan but I wasn’t too impressed. I got the chicken chow mein and it was kind of weird. There were tomatoes and red onions in it which was definitely new to me. And I thought the place was kind of pricey for what it was. Would have like a combo plate option. Like half chow mein half orange chicken. Probably wouldn’t go back to this spot again. Definitely a bummer because it has potential to fill a market of fast food Chinese.

I was very satisfied coming here for the first time. The menu is very straightforward and the portion sizes are reasonable. So far I like the shrimp fried rice. Tastes authentic and wasn’t too greasy. My only complaint would be the sauce on dishes like orange chicken or Kung poa chicken. I personally don’t like entrees smothered in sauce so if you’re like me order it with light sauce or sauce on the side.

Broccoli Beef was good. Potstickers were good. Orange chicken was terrible, worst I ever tasted. Chow Mein was okay. I give it a meh rating.

I said I’d chance checking out this place as it’s relatively new. Had the chicken chow mein, as it’s usually a safe bet. It was terrible, complete slop in a box. Exceptionally greasy. Panda Express would have easily been better. Even if the food was cheap, it wasn’t worth paying for. The whole atmosphere in the place is just weird too. Why have so much seating if you’re basically serving takeaway? And don’t get me started on the music. Celine Dion! I won’t be chancing going in again.

Came here with friends. We all had our own opinion about the place. I personally didn’t enjoy it. The food wasn’t as flavorful but the price was right. :) I did enjoy the Kung Pao Beef. The food came out quick. The staff were all really friendly. The place was clean. This place is pretty new, so there weren’t too many customers.

A limited menu, but tasty. I had Apple Pork, served with white rice for $ 7.53. The portion was more than enough and cooked to order. Very good flavor and rice was cooked perfectly. It’s not gourmet, but it’s not sitting in a tub staying warn. Give it a try!

Quick, quality and quintessential american Chinese cuisine, that is ‘wok it out’. It like going to Panda express, but with way better food, flavors and service. Its both a casual dine in and fast ‘take out’ place — where you order at the counter and they will call when your order is ready(think of the styles at your local teriyaki places), very convenient in my opinion. What I do like about ‘wok it out’ is how the food is prepared fresh with every order, its not the conveyor line style like we usually see at panda express– the food is always fresh and it can be tailored to my preferences. Plus the prices of all its entrée was $ 6 and up, very affordable. Its important to note, this restaurant is «not» authentic Chinese food, this is a complete americanized Chinese food restaurant and it doesn’t even lie about it, its like panda express or like that aunty chang’s local restaurant place where you get your orange chicken or chow mein. For anyone looking for ‘authentic’ Chinese food, move on to other places. But if your looking for orange chicken, broccoli beef, kung pao chicken, fried rice american style, and pot stickers, this place is perfect for you. It looks almost like a chain of restaurants, yet unbelievably its actually«the one and only» of its kind, its actually a sister restaurant of Dai Bai Dang at river park. I tried their orange chicken entrée $ 6.95 and also their Shrimp fried rice $ 7.95. My favorite would be the shrimp fried rice. Its flavor tasted almost like the Chinese fried rice I can get at the Chinese restaurant in Malaysia, it had that nice«wok hei» taste. It literally meant«wok aroma» whereby you can taste the infusion of the red hot wok and burnt elements in your food. The shrimp was also perfectly cooked and tasted nice and plump, not overcooked like at most places. The flavor was a nice balance of salty and savory. The fried rice could taste bland to some people who are used to salty foods. For me it was perfect, not too salty, and the flavors and aroma could actually be appreciated. The orange chicken was also quite good, the orange sauce was actually pretty similar to the orange chicken at «the cheesecake factory» and that is a huge compliment, since the orange chicken at the cheesecake factory is one of the best I’ve tasted, very subtly sweet, yet a nice fresh tang and aroma from fresh orange juice. The chicken although not heavily battered like most place, could actually be improved with less coating, I do find the batter to be rather thick, which made the chicken seem slightly soggy, I do prefer my orange chicken nuggets to be somewhat crispier. I do adore the touch of fresh steamed broccoli and also the bits of mandarin oranges as a garnish. The dish was served in a nice quality reusable divided plastic container, which spirited the dish, but also made it perfect to be reused– especially for students. To be honest I was pretty amazed with this new restaurant and its quality, sure the food won’t make your taste buds church bell rings and fly to heaven, but the food is not your ordinary Chinese takeout(think panda express) place, its tasty, its quality, reasonably priced for the student budget and its nicely packaged too. Im proud to say, I had the privilege of visiting this place several times before I developed this assessment and I definitely would be back for more when I crave the americanized style of Chinese food.

Not sure if its just that the place just opened, but there are some basics that are missing. A limited menu, and I’m not sure if they are trying to be a Chinese fast food or something else. Ordered, given a number to place on table, but when food is ready they just call out number and you have to get it. There’s a tip jar… they would probably get more tips if they brought the tray to the table. It wasn’t busy. Food is meh. Not much flavor in the shrimp fried rice(served in a take out container). Beef noodle broth was also a letdown, also flavorless. Garlic green beans were very garlic flavored(good), but not sautéed(bad). As another review stated, the very odd choice of 50’s country music is definitely not adding anything to the experience. It’s ridiculous.

This restaurant is trying to fill a tough spot. It’s in a hip, new spot in the Fresno food ecology. Unfortunately it fails to hit almost all its marks. It’s can’t decide whether it wants to be a panda express, or an authentic hole in the wall Chinese kitchen. The apple pork was soggy, and the apple flavor tasted artificial, the chow me in was Spaghetti noodles as far as i could tell. I had the beef noodle soup with a side of tempura vegetables. The seasoning on the beef soup was… I fitting to say the least. It tasted very much like a wester beef short rib plate. Which in isn’t self isn’t bad. Add Chinese broccoli and noodles and you have a dish that’s all over the place. The tempura was soggy, and completely flavorless. I’m not sure where they get their batter, but it was almost white it was so devoid of flavor and content. In all, Wok It Out has to stop trying to be in the middle. Go full authentic Chinese restaurant, or get a head chef that can pull of Chinese American fusion. P. S. Country music is most definitely not what should be playing on the radio.
