Wendy’s

We were driving around for food on late Sunday and didn’t find anything so we are just glad they were open. The spicy chicken sandwich and salad are our favorite.

I’m usually a fan of Wendy’s. Have been for a very long time but this place continues to disappoint me. At least 3 food orders have been wrong. Once ordered the ciabatta burger and got a single with just meat and bread. But tonight just really turned me off. I’m in military and I go there with my uniform. They ask to see id when I pull up to first window in order for me to receive military discount. No problem. I give them card and they gave me nothing as if I wouldn’t notice. I tell the dumb teenager that there is no discount on receipt and he looks confused and walks off for help. Comes back after few minutes and says there is nothing he can do about it now. Bulls… you can take charge off and recharge me. Manager comes and says the same thing, then pretends to feign attempt to work the register to fix the problem. I made made the mistake of being impatient rather than letting them know I would wait all night for them to get this straight. Pulled up to second window, kid gives me a crumpled up bag. I look inside and there is no straw so I asked for one. Drove off and as I took sip from my «sweet» tea, realized it was utterly unsweet. The service here sucks but the food is ehh… Wendy’s food. Some manager really needs to get their staff straightened out though.

I don’t normally eat fast food but I can make an exception with Wendy’s. Everything from their salads to their homestyle chicken sandwiches are great. They just went through a major renovation and the improvement definitely helped. On top of that the customer service is great. I love the fact that your order will be ready as soon as you pay at the first window. That seems to be a rare occurrence among the fast food chains around here. Of the few choices of fast food around here in Clovis, this definitely rates as one of the best.
