I’ve been wanting to try this place for sometime now. As soon as I walked in I almost regretted my decision. The inside of the restaurant smelled like cat urine. I almost walked out but I decided to go ahead and give it a try. The chicken was a little dry but was flavorful and was worth the money I paid for it. It’s on par with Juan Pollo and El Loco. It would be good to try on a Sunday when they have the two for one whole chickens on sale

Went on circles looking for this place while driving thru from Phx on the 1 – 10. The address on Unilocal must be an old one. I found this place south of 50th& Harrison on accident as I was trying to make a u turn to see if I missed the place for the 3 rd time. I have emailed the business so hopefully nobody else will get lost like I did. Glad I didn’t give up on looking for them. I ordered to go & had the food handed to me within minutes … Literally. I thought the chicken was on the pricey side but it wasn’t fried nor greasy nor seasoned with some Chinese like flavor. They had lunch specials which were very reasonable but too small for my beast appetite. Saw 2 cops taking their lunch break so even though Coachella keeps them busy, they know where to go & get fast yummy grub.

Boyfriend had been telling me about this place for long and he swore it was best chicken in valley. Overall ok. In the first place, didn’t go with a full on appetite but the 4piece meal ordered was reasonable for price paid. Plenty of tortillas with order. Potato salad delicious. Rice not the best tasted more like boxed rice than homemade Mexican rice. Ok not bad– although we were only customers in restaurant…

This place is great. Super friendly staff and the grilled chicken is really good. I like the sides even better — the cole slaw and rice is amazing. Two people could easily share a four piece combo here.

This place should have a line down the road! Best grilled chicken around. Period. Don’t let the outside fool you. Wednesdays for lunch makes sense – 1 ½ chickens for the price of 1. Its more than enough for 2 people. You will have left-overs. Tortillas are corn, not flour, and served hot. But they need to have bottles of Inca Kola to make this place perfect.

Awesome chicken and friendly service! Besides, who can argue with beer and flame-grilled chicken fast food?

If you are driving through Coachella and you get past the scary strip mall that this dive is in… you will eat the best beer grilled chicken(at least I think it’s beer they won’t tell me) you’ve ever had… the macaroni salad is awesome another recipe they won’t share… but if you find out, please let me know!

This is the best flame grilled chicken. I grew up eating this and I still crave it even after 18 years. It’s WAY better than el pollo loco! The chicken is perfectly moist and the skin is crispy and well seasoned. Everything about this chicken is awesome! I ordered a bunch to feed around 20 people who came from LA and they agreed that it was probably the best flame grilled chicken they have ever eaten and it surpassed el pollo loco by one gazillion points. Their side dishes are whatevers but their chicken with wrapped in the tortilla and salsa with a bite of jalapenos is PERFECT. The thing is, their tortillas can sometimes stick together so be very careful!

The best chicken ever. Worth the drive if your not from around here. Go on the weekends when they have the 2 for 1 special. The macaroni salad is a family favorite.

I swear El Pollo Loco stole the idea for their restaurant from El Pollo Dieta and ran with it! My family has been coming to El Pollo Dieta ever since I was little. This was the place that my abuelos would always bring us to. This place is AH-MASING! Beer marinated grilled chicken and the best rice and beans ever. Oh, the salsa… Hmmmm. The tortillas are so good. Kind of reminds me of a good home bbq done the Mexican way. Prices. Dirt cheap! That is probably why this place is always packed other than fantastic mouth watering pollo! Location. Well, lets say that it is very much like Mexico here. Yes, if you have ever been to Mexicali this is what this place reminds me of. With the occasional ranch trucks blaring Rancheras or Banda tunes to the occasional pelones cruising in their lowered Impalas and the bass blaring. I guess I can embrace all this with a smile There are also tons of little shops in this strip mall as well. Like Toda Moda a horrible store in which in English translates into«Total Fashion» Total my a$$. Lets say it’s Toda Mierda. Come out for the food. If you ever find yourself in the Coachella Valley this is one of the many holes in the walls to visit!
