Menudo and Birria are delicious! The Tortas de Carnitas are awesome! Las quesadillas con carne ON POINT! Order ahead on weekend mornings because it’s packed! Close by, super affordable, great food! If you can look past the Liquor store look, you’ll taste yummy food! Don’t judge a book by its cover. Love this place!

I tried their burrito of Machaca and it is to die for. The taste with the salsa bar is amazing!!! I moat definitely recommend this place. Employees are really nice and the atmosphere here is very welcoming.

I have found the find of the year so far. I have driven by El Tranvia so many times, and never stopped due to the mix of the people I see outside and the fact that this shop is in a liquor store, but this is TACO TUESDAY and the sign says tacos.
As we walked in we were warmly welcomed as we noticed that every table was taken and there was a long line of people who had already ordered that were waiting for their food.
We tried a large assortment of tacos that I will rank in the order of my personal favorites. On a side note the tortillas are freshly made and the salsa bar was wonderful.
1) The cabaza worried me at first. It looked like a wet mess, but the proportions were good and the hand made tortilla looked so tasty. I took my first bite and WOW. This is the best cabeza (if you ignore how messy it is). The taco was flavor packed, without any overpowering gamey flavor.
2) This was a tough one, I think it might have been a tie, but I am going with the pastor. Great tender chunks of grilled pork with spice and smoke and slight caramelized edges. Wonderful.
3) The chorizo started out sweet and then the spice started to build. Definitely one of the top 10 chorizos in the valley (and it is made fresh each day)
4) The carnitas was next, and it was packed with flavor and had just the right amount of crispy edges. I loved how tender it was.
5) The pollo asada was next and again the chicken was perfectly cooked and had great flavor with a tough of the wonderful grill flavor.
Give this place a shot, you will enjoy it.
