The food is five star and so is the service. Recently renovated, we really enjoyed our dinner. The lamb was excellent! Nice place, highly recommend it

JEM is back! WOW, it is the best restaurant in the desert! Beautiful atmosphere, impeccable service and insanely delicious food and presentation! Be sure and try the Lyonnaise purple potatoes, and sizzling skillet of wild mushrooms. Save room for the chocolate lava cake and crème brûlée. Please keep a table open for me! Super impressive!!!

The name has changed and when we walked into a nearly empty restaurant we were told that they could not seat is without a reservation for over an hour. Will not be returning.

I’ve eaten at Jem several times and it is always amazing!!! It isn’t always busy except on show nights, so it is easy to get a table in the restaurant or bar area. The steaks are so good and tender and very good portion sizes. The creamed sizzling mushrooms are so good, either as an appetizer or along side a steak. I love the spicy calimari. My favorite dish is the short ribs. So tender and a very good portion with potatoes and vegetables. The bar area is a great place to sit and relax and get entertained by the bartender. The wait staff are great and give excellent service. I highly recommend Jem to anyone looking for a great steak in a place with absolutely wonderful atmosphere!

Don’t let the«emptiness’ deter you.esp. during the week. They do their most business on week ends, holidays, etc. My husband and I eat there a couple of times a year for a special occ. It has always been great. I just had the coconut shrimp. and they were to ‘die for’! Ans they are fairly reasonable for an upscale place.

WOW. My partner and I arrived at JEM around 7pm on a Wednesday night and the place was empty! Holy cow, there was not a soul in sight except for the hostess, who was sitting in a booth folding napkins. I was kind of fearful at first, I mean do I really want to take out my partner to a restaurant that is complete empty at dinner time? Well, we ended up staying and let me just say A-MA-ZING! Bread and butter on the table. Drink glass never empty. We started with the oysters, they were fresh and tasty! I had the fillet and my partner had the NY strip. We opted for the USDA choice, which is a little more expensive, but well worth the additional $. This steak hits my top favorites list next to Ruth’s Chris, and Strip Steak in Las Vegas. Just do yourself a favor and GOTHERE, NOW!

I absolutely highly recommend this upscale steakhouse. I eat here every time I come to the desert, about 6x a year, and it is consistently great. Sit in the bar area for a more relaxed atmosphere. Dining room can be a lil boring. I had the Chilean seabass and loved the freshness and quality of the ingredients, and the perfectly cooked fish. Friendly and welcoming staff round off the experience.

Went here for Valentine’s Day and expected it to be much better. When I called for reservations, they told me that the best time they could give was 5pm because of the day. Understandable. I later managed to bump that to 5:45 so it didn’t feel like we were eating supper. When we showed up, the restaurant was probably 20% full and remained that way until we finished about an hour later so I’m still confused on why they had my reservation so early. I would totally understand if they were packed. As for the food, both my rib eye and my girlfriend’s prime rib came out severely undercooked. I like my steak medium rare and it was pretty much raw. I’m not down for re-heats since it dries up the meat and I’ve seen horror stories about sending food back. The prime rib was ordered medium well and it came out medium rare. Too much blood for my girl’s standards. The service was really good, but I read some good reviews about the steak at this place and left very disappointed. Definitely won’t go back again.

I went here last night for a friends birthday. This place is in BFE considering I live in the OC and even for her who lives in Riverside, anyway it was a lovely evening filled with The Thunder from Down Under and clubbing at BLUE and dinner at JEM. The steaks are superb. I had a filet mignon and a side of garlic potatoes with a caesar salad. Traditional steak house eats but everything just tasted really fantastic. Not one single complaint, the service was on par, the ambience is traditional also with the wood paneling and amber lighting. Good prices compared to my fave Ruths Chris and almost — almost as good as them.

BARREVIEW: I enjoy their happy hour! They have good prices on drinks and appetizers. Just had a yummy scallops dish the other night. I also like their spicy chips. It’s a nice looking bar. I never see many people in there.
