Great place to get a good burger and fries. I love the crinkle cut fries. Only wish I had said hold the mayo. Don’t let the looks of the place keep you from eating here. Food is good. Nice people.

The food is not very good and the soft serve is grainy.

Pastrami on rye and onion rings, $ 10.25? Kind of a poor attempt at a downsized Ruben. Too much mustard, bad customer service, barely any pastrami and only 10 under cooked onion rings. I couldn’t taste anything but mustard and lots of bread. Never again. Two stars was for the location and friendly locals.

Grilled Turkey Bacon and Swiss kinda sounds good right? Well that is of course if you actually get any Turkey on your sandwich, and if it is actually Buttered and grilled to a crunchy golden brown, right? Well… Not so much, butter flavored grill oil is not buttered, And a yellow soggy stain on each piece of bread, is not grilled. And 2 pieces of Bacon with only 1 slice of cheese, And«NO Turkey» doesn’t work for me. Why is it that almost all of the restaurants in the area are run by inexperienced and untrained completely clueless morons? So tired of the mediocrity that has become the accepted standard in this business. Seriously, How hard is it to make a flippen sandwich?

I ordered a bacon cheeseburger but received no bacon. Came with the end piece of a unripe tomatoe. But the fries are excellent.

The shakes are so good… oh my gosh! Get one. The food is okay. Not bad, not the best. It’s the only place worth eating in Coarsegold.

5 stars for the ice cream cones! I drive up from the Ranchos once a week to split a swirled cone with my kiddo. The ice cream is just perfect and comes in two sizes: ‘I split my pants’ and ‘Im actually embarrassed to order such a huge amount’. Yum!

Great spot for burgers and ice cream! I had one of the best chocolate milk shakes ever! You can order from the outside window or dine inside. Treat yourself to a treat after a full day in Yosemite.

Love love love this place! One of the only places in Coarsegold I will eat. Amazing Burgers and milkshakes however you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. You feel right at home when you walk into this little joint!

Ice Cream. Burger joint with a fun flair. Roberts is great. We like the Mexican food best. Robert and his family are good folk, Table service is inside — kinda a car hop feeling. enjoy I will and do!

We love good burgers and every one on the menu is out of this world. The mountain burger is Alan’s favorite. I like the Ortega burger and the salads. The frosty cones are humongous and not to mention the owner, his wife and daughter are always so friendly, courteous and attentive. This is a fun place to come on Friday nights when they have 50’s cars there. We have a 57 Chevy and love going there to see the other cars. We also play in our band ’ ACE&ROXYROCK N BLUESEXPEDITIONBAND” there on Friday’s and Saturday afternoons. It’s too cold to play there now, but on warm days we will be there. It reminds us of the old 50’s diners and you can almost expect to see the owner’s daughter on roller skates coming up to serve you. They are wonderful people with great food!

Holy cow! I Asked for a cone dipped in chocolate, expecting your run of the mill small cone with soft serve. They bring me this MOUNTAIN of soft serve dipped in chocolate enough for at least TWO people!(HIGHFIVE!!!) Nothing like a fatty HUGE serving of ice cream after a two hr hike in Yosemite but hey it was hot outside! I enjoyed it with my group as we walked across the street for the«market» Now I only had the ice cream but the food smelled delicious! I will return to try out the food!

I honestly have never eaten the food here, but this is the place to go for a great milkshake. Absolutely delicious. Sort of over-priced, but sometimes you have to splurge.

If you’re driving up to Yosemite and want to try a local, hole-in-the-wall, family-owned café, you should stop by. There’s table seating inside and benches outside. You order your food at the windows and they’ll call your name when it’s ready. You seat yourself wherever you want. Food: –Reuben and fries: greasy, cheesy, goodness with thick-cut fries They’re known for their frosty, but I wasn’t able to find the room to try it. Parking: –Several spaces in their parking lot

Stopped here on the way back from Yosemite to get a milkshake. I got a chocolate malt and my girlfriend got a strawberry milkshake, and they definitely make some delicious stuff! I havent had a frost that delicious in a while, I wish I was up this way more often so I could stop in here more often.

Let me just say I stopped in for ice cream. All I wanted was a creamy ice cream cone that would have been craving for another one when I’m in town again. Instead, it was one of those generic icy-ish ice cream cones that I could pick up at any random place. Sadly, I could name a chain restaurant or two that have better cones. I won’t be stopping back in!

Now known as Robert’s Frosty, we first came here two years ago when it was Rose’s Frosty. Both times we had the same meal — cheeseburgers and fries. The first time we had no idea this place was here — we were driving from Fresno to Yosemite and the wife wanted to eat, and there was Frostys. An amazingly excellent burger and fries — amazing because I had zero expectations and they were so darn good. For two years the wife and I said that the next time in the area we were definitely eating more burgers and fries. Last week was our next visit and we were a bit worried, since Rose was gone and Robert was in. Also, we had built up the burgers in our minds for two years, so were undoubtedly going to be disappointed. But instead, these burgers and fries were even better. Bottom line: if you love burgers and fries and find yourself on the road from Yosemite to Fresno, do not fail to stop in Coarsegold and fill up at Robert’s Frosty!

This appears on signs as Rose’s Frosty. It’s a short order restaurant that serves burgers of various types along with a variety of other hot sandwiches and milkshakes and such. I’ve only tried the burgers and fries and malts; they have always been good. It’s open for lunch and supper.
