Very casual atmosphere, very delicious food. Great fried oysters, crab cakes and coleslaw and kale. All we ate was either caught in the river nearby or homemade in the restaurant, and all was fantastic. Since that is all we had to eat, that is really all I can critique. It’s not sophisticated — if you want red wine you get a full glass of generic decent red merlot — for $ 5. Amazing after DC prices! A beer is $ 3. A plate of melt-in-your-mouth fried oysters $ 19.00. Same for 2LARGE delicious crab cakes. Comes with 2 sides. Great hush-puppies too. We had Lisa waiting on us — with her bubbly personality. She obviously loves working there and does a great job. This is one of those small town restaurants where everyone who walks in knows everyone there and the waitresses ask«how’s your mom doing?». I bet when we walk back in Lisa will remember us too. And we plan on walking back in as soon as possible.

THISPLACEROCKS!!! After a bad experience at Capt. Johns, we came over to SHYMANSKY’S for all you can eat crabs and they were awesome. Service was great, food was great, view was great… we will be back!
