Been living in Cobb now for a year and the family and I finally made our way to the local pizzeria and we were not disappointed. Costumer service was great and there were plenty of seats inside and out. Wait time was not bad considering we custom ordered our pie. We called it the Tex Mex Deluxe.(: Very attentive courtesy clerk was on staff when we went. He greeted us with smiles and made sure our son was accommodated with a booster seat.(He even gave us a couple quarters for the arcade games off to the side.) All in all, we are definitely coming back. My only problem with the Brick Oven was that we didn’t discover it sooner!

I was pretty happy to find some place to eat close by. The food was pretty good. I had the rib dinner that came with house salad, fries, garlic bread. It was served in large portions, overflowing off the edge of the plate. I had plenty of leftovers to take home for lunch or dinner tomorrow. When I walked in the staff was warm and friendly, just like the temp in side and it was 39 outside so we really appreciated that. I couldn’t decide between a pizza or the ribs and the server let me know there was only one order of ribs left and when I asked if they were pretty good she said, I think they’re real good, folks seem to like them. Next time pizza. Right? They had live sports channel going and a couple games to play. Everyone that ate or got orders to go had a beer on tap so must have been pretty good. I saw a sign out side that said pizza by the slice but she said they weren’t offering that any more. I asked if they deliver and she said only in the summer. I’ll be back again and again as they are the closest place to home. Very happy to find an alternative to cooking when you just want someone to cook for you.

What can be said about the Brick? It is great pizza without the drive. When you are in Cobb, stop by.

Our motorcycle club camped last year at a nearby theme resort, and we arranged delivery pizzas, both vegetarian and meat. It was just what you’d hope, nice fresh-baked crust with generous, tasty toppings.

The only reason this place is still open is because it’s a forty minute drive to get food anywhere else. The worst, burnt, tasteless pizza around. If you want shit service Ina loud, dingy pub like shack filled with old people who don’t know better, come here. Rude staff, a weird dude with a multi colored Mohawk in the back, and the owner, Barbara, the worst, rudest woman on cobb. save yourself and go anywhere else. ANYWHERE.

We got into our little rented cabin and didn’t want to drive far for dinner, so we tried this place. It was clean, the people were friendly and helpful, and the food was great! We liked it so much we went back the next night. We recommend the pizza, the pastrami sandwiches, and the fries. Everything was fresh and there wasn’t a hint of grease anywhere! Not easy to do with pizza, pastrami, and fries. The only thing I would have changed was asking for cheese on my pastrami sandwich. I missed the extra flavor cheese would have provided. Four thumbs up from the two of us!

Service was great but the fries are not what is pictured here … Limp matchsticks kinda sad when your looking for a fix.

Based off the other reviews my wife and I wavered on going here. We wanted pizza though and a place close to where we were staying. We are so glad we went. It was a Saturday night and they weren’t that busy. We ordered a small Garlic Chicken Pizza and a small Margarite Pizza. It took about 30 minutes to get our order which is not long at all in my opinion. The only reason I noted the time is so many other reviews talked about a long wait. You have to realize orders are in front of you. The pizza was so fresh! All of the toppings melded perfectly. We want this pizza joint in our home town. Easily ranked up there with best we have had. If we lived here this would be a regular spot for us. The staff was all friendly. We are outsiders to Lake County but no one made us feel that way. We will be back for sure. Keep in mind I have used Unilocal a lot for finding places for years. This is the first place that I felt I had to do a review for. Hence this is my first review I wrote for Unilocal

I absolutely love the Brick! Best staff and service. We just went today during a power outage and even with the generator having problems we had a great meal. I can’t say good enough things about this place. We eat here often.

Here’s one of those hard to find mom and pop pizza places that make their own dough. And they get it right with just the perfect blend of yeastiness and sweetness, achieving both crispness and delicate chewiness. I requested a thin crust and got an amazing crust that was firm and crispy on the bottom but doughy, french baguette-like around the perimeter. Their red sauce is delicate, not overblown with oregano, nor heavy and pasty. Their sauce is spread out just enough to add a welcome juiciness to the pizza without dominating the crust or any of the other ingredients. The cheese is stringy, flavorful and in perfect proportion to blend well with the crust, sauce and toppings. As to the toppings, I ordered a combination of marinated artichoke hearts, ham(a high quality deli ham), onions, mushrooms and a few pickled jalapeño slices on the side to nibble at to sparkle up each bite. Toppings are generous but in proportion. The result? A pizza that gets all the essentials right and would taste great regardless of whatever toppings one prefers. IMO, the best pizza in Lake County.

Rather mediocre food. The pizzas and sandwiches I tried were all swimming in grease. The chef here needs to learn how to use herbs, spices, and the proper ingredients to craft flavor, instead of just relying on the greasiness.

This place was awful. I asked for pesto ravioli and they said they were out of pesto sauce and couldn’t serve it to me(even though I paid the price for the pesto which was more expensive). However, there is a grocery store right across the parking lot where they could easily buy some pesto sauce. So I got the marinara ravioli and my god was it terrible. The menu never stated it was cheese ravioli so I was pretty disappointed and the marinara sauce(if you could call it that) was SO bland. It didn’t even have salt or anything and just tasted like you grabbed a tomato and crushed it. On top of that it was cold. Also my boyfriend and I ordered jalapeño poppers as APPETIZERS(meaning you serve them before the main course) and they took forever to get them to us! Until my boyfriend walked back toward where the kitchen was to see our poppers just sitting there, for who knows how long, waiting for someone to take them to us. Pizza was burnt on the bottom too and didn’t taste like anything special. I would never come here again.

Great pizza with fresh ingredients. They have a few microbrews on tap, which is a bonus. Service is friendly, fast and casual. Sandwiches leave a little to be desired(sort of bland and boring). Brick Oven is a great dining option if you are in Cobb and you won’t be disappointed with the pizza.

Wow — the pizza here is really good. Plenty of cheese and sauce, crispy crust — this is just the way good pizza should be. Nice people, clean place and great pizza!

We came in here Friday night after driving up the mountain for 3 hours. We called our order in and we were told it would be 25 – 30 min. We waited an hour and fifteen minutes for our pizza and a sandwich. I tried placing an order for a bowl of chili, which they told me they had ready. I watched as they ran into Hardester’s and bought a can of chili to cook for me. After waiting, I asked them to refund us for the chili which they did. The pizza is mediocre and the sandwich was horrendous(«The Cobbfather»). We won’t be coming back. They take care of the people they know first before helping out customers.

Interesting pizzas! Small small town so the 3 stars is based on that. Twelve of us ordered several pizzas: Buffalo — I didn’t try because it had just tooooooo much blue cheese. No one in the group actually liked it much. Most thought the baked celery was very odd. Meat Lovers — pretty good. Pepperoni — crust was crunchy and thick and simple. Hawaiian — surprisingly spicy! Not many enjoyed and it was not what we were expecting. Caesar salad was just ok and the Cobb salad had lots to it. All in all, I’m glad I live where there are way better options but… given the size of Cobb, CA, it was ok!

The pizza here is great! I agree with the other reviewers that the crust is what makes it for this place. Also, great local beers on tap and there are some Atari video games if you’re feeling old school. I recommend the veggie calzone(which are gigantic so you can make two meals out of it or share with a friend) and a pitcher of Death and Taxes beer. There is also a take and bake option. On the walls there are old historic pamphlets of how Cobb Mountain used to be a resort area from the 1940s till the 1960s. Pretty interesting to see how things have changed here. Tons of locals are here on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Only reason why I am not giving five stars is because this place closes early and there is no delivery :(

My boy friend and i used to go to Cobb every other week and we hit the Brick Oven every time. The pizza is off the hook(and i’m a pizza snob). Not too mention Great beer on tap! Haven’t been able to find pizza as good in the east bay!

This is the only pizza place that I can find in this area and I needed to write a review in case you are in the Cobb Mountain area and need a pie. These guys don’t deliver, but it isn’t that far from my Dad’s cabin up here. So I went to pick up a hamburger and sausage pizza for me and my wife. It was decent. I can’t say it was the best pizza I’ve had, but I have no complaints. Straight forward and friendly, efficient service.
