Waffle House

I’ve been to many Waffle Houses… the concept is the same in all of them. The waffles are melt in your mouth delicious. I’ve been to worse (in regards to cleanliness and service)…and if you are going there at peak hours (breakfast on a Sunday morning); be prepared to wait: ANYWHERE. I also had much better service here on a busy day than at an empty Denny’s down the street. It’s not everyone’s cup of tea but it’s always filling for me.

I’m so glad that our Waffle House is on the upswing! Nothing much else to add, just good, quick food and service.

DON’T EAT HERE!!! We decided to go because it was right near our hotel. We had to wait 10 min at 10:30am for a table. That’s fine, but when we were pointed to where to sit we were told that the server would take the dirty plates off of the table. He directed us to basically sit at a table with other people’s nasty dirty plates on it. We got mad and moved the plates ourselves because our server never came. We waited another 10 min, apparently he was in the weeds somehow. A man sat behind us, after we did, at a CLEAN table and was greeted before us. Needless to say we left. Walked across the street to Epic Burrito and had an epic time. Definitely recommend Epic Burrito. I would give waffle house zero stars but was forced to give them one.

We were seated immediately, our waitress was friendly, and our food came out quickly. I got a pecan waffle (so good), bacon, and a large order of extra crispy hash browns with cheese. Everything was great, though next time I’ll skip the cheese on the hash browns; it’s literally just a slice of American melted on top.
It’s like any other Waffle House. It’s greasy, loud, cheap, and delicious.

Loved being greeted at the door by a very attentive employee (Kev) taking our name and giving us an estimated time to be seated.
The place was packed and they had our family of five seated within 15 minutes which wasn’t bad considering it was 9:30 on a Sunday morning!
Service was awesome, fast, and very friendly… and the food was great.
The only complaint I have was that there was only one table that could comfortably accommodate a family of five. We sat at a table with a chair on the end and we were all squished.

What waffle house isn’t delicious? Service was good, however only giving it 3 stars because it was filthy in the back area where they cook. The floor was terrible– and even saw a woman «cleaning» which to her meant taking a used glass, slamming it into some water and putting it on a drying rack. There was also a MISERABLE woman who was not our waitress, but working the register– who was just terrible. A man was attempting to pay the bill, and she didn’t even look at him and just gave him his change and he said have a great day, and she walked away from him. What a b… anyways– food was good, OJ was fresh but they really need to clean as they go (the floor) because it was a diaster.

My first impression was using the rest room when I walked in. It was very clean, but there were gnats buzzing around which I thought was kind of a bad sign. I was greeted immediately by the waitress & cook. I really liked how friendly they were and I felt comfortable. It was 3:30am and I had ended a night shift. I just wanted to be at peace and enjoy my meal. The food was done SO FAST after I ordered. Everything was hot and delicious. I was pleasantly surprised. They didn’t have wifi, but the cook let me use his hot spot, which I thought was great. So I stayed longer and ordered a chocolate chip waffle. I started to play some songs on the jukebox. Two drunk idiots came in and crowded me while putting dollars in. This pissed me off as it was rude and I was playing music. It’s not Waffle House’s fault, but it’s something you have to be a bit prepared for as a woman eating alone at 4am. Some people have no common curtesy. They didn’t bother me enough to run me off. I let them know they where crowding me, finished my song selection as they waited behind me like intoxicated vultures and I sat back down to finish my waffle. It was so delicious and they weren’t stingy with the chocolate chips. The employees made me feel at home and at ease. I was happy to be there. I’ll definitely be back in hopes that my meal is just as good and the same type of employees are on the clock, very courteous and attentive to my needs. There were some gnats that bothered me during my meal, so that is what made me chose 4 instead of 5 stars. As they started cleaning heavily at 4:30am the gnats disappeared. If they could control the gnats I would have given them 5 stars. Everything other than the «unwanted guests» was great. I’ll be back if the cook with the wifi hotspot is there.

Noisy, who cares the food is all cooked to perfection, you can get in and out way faster than I hop across the street and get a much better meal. Don’t change anything here!

The place was packed but the food was fresh and service was fast. There were eight people in our party so we took two tables, but they were very accommodating and we were seated with in 5 minutes.

I always enjoy Waffle House. Staff treat you like your family, food is always fresh, and they are the best place to go if you are on a budget. This Waffle House was packed, but we did not have to wait long. The prefect place to go before the cruise. All star breakfast was the meal of choice, and I finished it all!!! When we get back, I will probably eat here again

I’m giving this place 3 stars, because although the the food was good, the service was not that great. The servers were all upset about everything. Two were complaining about the tip they were left. Another server was cursing, talking really loud complaining about her previous customers. Then they started complaining about who had to do the dishes and began to argue with each other. Two of them began to do dishes, and we’re just slamming the dishes. Since we sat on the counter we were in the middle of everything. There was a couple guys standing outside smoking pot, and the people walking in were just not pleasant.

Waffle House is Waffle House. I have never been in a clean one. If you’re a type of person where appearances affect your appetite than you would definitely lose your appetite not only by the kitchen area but the staff also. The food has always tasted the same too which is decent.

This is the first time I have ever written a Unilocal review but I had to share. The food was decent, what you expect from a fast breakfast joint. Our waitress needed to learn customer service. She came over to take our order and didn’t ask how we were or if we were ready. She acted rushed and like any question we had (like of they still had the breakfast burritos) was a waste of her time and rushed us along. She gave my sister attitude, she only checked on us once, and when I flagged her down a couple seconds after taking our order to ask her to make our hash browns crispy if it wasn’t too late, she rolled her eyes and stormed into the kitchen. She only had 3 tables to serve and acted like she was super busy. I was a server for years and I would never give this type of attitude. However the lady named Mary who we flagged down for refills and jelly because we didn’t want to DISTURB our server was very kind and curious. I will go back when I come into town again but I will make darn sure we get a different server. It really isn’t hard to be polite to guests.

The staff at this Waffle House is exceptional. The wait staff are friendly, courteous and prompt — especially Kadeja. They have one call person who calls in the orders to the cook which makes the food prep very efficient. T other waffle houses many are screaming orders and the cooks and wait staff are always arguing. The cooks here are right on — fast and timely and the food is cooked to exact order. Bacon, eggs, waffles, hash browns — it’s what’s for breakfast. If you’d like to go somewhere and pay more feel free. This is the best Waffle House I have visited by far.

You all know waffle house so I dont need to explain they‘re a simple breakfast place so the five is for the quality of what they do and the friendly staff.

This is a very interesting Waffle House and I usually hit this place up late. The food is very good and the staff is very friendly. What is interesting is I think that girls from the local strip clubs come here regularly. When they came in it was like a cloud if cheap Victoria’s Secret perfume and glitter. Could have been a bachelorette party but I doubt it. These girls had some real obvios mileage on them.

Ah, Waffle House. You do not disappoint. You don’t surprise me either. And maybe that’s alright every now and again.
Waffle House is a classic Southern experience. No, it isn’t the most spectacular waffle you’re ever going to eat. But it will be pretty decent. And it will be the exact same thing every single time.
Waffle House is comfort food at it’s most predictable. I never go back to the South without stopping in – sometimes at 2 A.M. – for a sweet tea and a waffle.

This place is suited for the hardcore-​looking-​for-​some-​grub folk. Don’t come looking for fancy because this ain’t the place, she don’t live here.
Ahh, strong coffee that can strip the paint off your weathered house shingles, that’s what I’m talkin about.
Eggs scrambled, hash browns covered and smothered, I won’t have to eat for a … well, until lunch time.
Waffle House is a chain mostly found in the South. It’s basically a diner without the dining car. Don’t expect a whole bunch of crazy waffle combinations (they do have waffles though), it’s just the name of the place.
Need a quick served short order breakfast that will stick to your gut while you read the morning paper or better yet thumb through your phone? This is your stop.

The waffles were great but sitting up at the counter seeing the grossness of the machine was quite a bad sight. The floor was very greasy too. The service was ok. They always forgot a lot but the waffles is what we came for.

I’m giving 5stars because its exactly what i go in for: great diner food, the waitstaff are always nice. It’s a basic breakfast house, that kicks the booties off the likes of IHOP or Denny’s (bllllehhhk!). My son loves it because «breakfasts are too sweet at other restaurants».
When you order med rare steak with eggs, the steak –is-​medium rare, not boot leather.
When its packed (mornings) it can be slow to get in and out, but other times is speedy.
