Order the calamari, it comes with this sweet and spicy chili dressing that I could eat all by itself.

Bison sirloin is incredible. Service very professional. Good relaxing atmosphere.; you can actually have a nice conversation without being overwhelmed by loud music. The place is rarely crowded and you will not feel rushed. One of my top places in Coconut Grove.

Killer mojito menu. The chipotle cacao mojito is fantastic. They need to add a jalapeño mojito to their menu. I had the seafood ceviche, which was pretty good, but they could come up with something better than busted up tortilla chips to serve it with. The beet salad was very small, but very delicious. For my entrée I had the pan seared Sea Bass & that was awesome.

A friend swore this place was amazing– a nice kid friendly alternative that was moderately priced, etc. I had already tried it out a couple of times for lunch and found it mediocre at best. This time we went as a group for a friend’s birthday brunch. I ordered eggs Benedict and it was cold when it reached the table and the muffin under it was so tough. I would have sent it back but the server was ridiculously slow. We actually had to get out own menus, plates, etc. and it was not crowded. There was only one other table there at the time. Was she also the cook? Lord. So after this third try I can say without a doubt: the food is still mediocre and service is poor.

Came here with some friends on a Friday night. Had no idea what to expect. All I can say is that this place began its 5 star experience from the moment we entered. Our server Yvette was more than helpful with the menu. She brought my buddy and I two samples each of two wines we were interested in drinking. For an appetizer she recommended the tuna tartar which was incredible. For dinner I had the sea bass with the mushroom risotto. Absolutely recommend this dish. My buddy had a jambalaya and our wives split the spaghetti carbonara. The tater tots are beyond words. They were massive in size. Like 5 tots in one. They had bacon and Brie inside the tot. For dessert we has the martini tiramisu. AMAZING!!! The live music was excellent. A gypsy king style band that also plays Spanish ballads. The décor reminds me of the Forge on the beach. Located at the Mayfair. Highly highly recommend this place.

I was with my friend marcos and he really ordered the great dish. It Was sea bass. Damn that was good. So I had a Cajun jambalaya. Felt like I was in New Orleans on the bayou. Damn good. I recommend this restaurant for a great meal and servicio. Live music was good tambien.

Came to this restaurant based on a group offer which I must say was a very good deal– $ 40 for $ 80 worth of food. There were no restrictions, no limited menu and I specific days necessary. The atmosphere in the restaurant is beautiful. The décor is exquisite and the liquor selection was top notch. I ordered the pasta carbonara which was extremely tasty. Everyone else’s meal look delicious, minus my friends steak which she did not eat because it was dry. The pork chops looked amazing as well. I had an elderberry spritzer, I really don’t remember the real name, but it was sweet and refreshing. The restaurants speciality seems to be mojitos though. The only reason this restaurant did not get five stars was because of the service. It was very disorganized and the restaurant was not even that full. Our waiter forgot my friends entrée to the point that we had all finished eating when he finally got his food. He didn’t seem very attentive overall, I continuously had to ask other passerby waiters to flag him down for me. Overall it’s a nice place and I would consider going back. It has a very romantic atmosphere and is a great place for couples

Horrible for breakfast, we were the first ones there and the only ones for the rest of the visit. The food was eh and the service was horrible. Two of the cooks got into a fist fight while we were there and my friend, who is an EMT, went to help. They didn’t even thank us. When I told them my food didn’t taste good all I got was a pat on the back, even though we had helped them out.

To be forthcoming, My wife works for this restaurant but regardless of that I am objective and can state without bias that I love the Mojito’s here. The food is eclectic and I’ve told her that I think TK’s needs to find its identity because it has so many choices, I wonder if everything on the menu is as good as it can be. I loved the Fish and Chips but it’s not on the menu anymore because they’ve adapted to their market. For whatever reasons Miamians don’t eat a lot of the fish and chips anymore. Let me tell you, as a Cuban that sometimes love British snacks… the fish and chips were tops! TK’s also has an amazing alcoholic ice cream dessert created by one of the previous managers that is phenomenal and the Brie Tater Tots are pretty damn good… and I dislike Brie. For me what was awesome about this place is are the Friday evening Mojito Madness events. Cuban themed Live Latin Jazz bands with a vendor outside of the restaurant with hand rolled cigars that are free with every mojito purchase. While nothing will ever beat the Cuban Cohiba’s I’ve purchased from the Caribbean, getting a free freshly rolled(Dominican bound and filled) cigar is a nice touch. The ridiculous listing of Mojito flavors is awesome. I’ve tried 6 of them and love the strawberry banana and the Peach mojito flavors the best. Their Beet mojito was surprisingly good and the chocolate mojito is also flavorful. They aren’t too pricey and have a great happy hour. TK’s also has a really interesting variety of imported beers, specifically heavy of German varieties. Mainly because the general manager is a well known German artist/photographer who loves beer. The ambiance is exceptionally casual chic with a very family trendy feel. In the evenings it’s hipster candy but that’s ok. My only caveat is that sitting outside can get really hot(but that’s Miami’s fault, not theirs). Althought they should use the ceiling fan that is there. All in all I love getting my mojito fix from here and it only makes it easier that my wife works here. I have a great reason to pop in for a drink or two.

Have to lower my rating based on today’s brunch. The place still looks beautiful in day light, but unfortunately the day time crowd is less, shall we say, relaxed? There was a kids’ birthday party, and the adults had no regard for surrounding patrons who perhaps would have preferred a quieter brunch, sans games and singing. We could have sat outside but it was sweltering hot and humid. The kiddie party should have taken place in a private dining room, bottom line. Poor management decision. The breakfast menu sounds a lot better in theory than it is executed. The orange juice they use for the Mimosas is the cheap concentrated kind. I asked whether I could order(and pay for) a bottle of Pellegrino to make an OJ spritzer, without the cheap champagne, and our waitress apparently had never heard of a spritzer. I felt like an a – hole for making what I thought was a simple request. The pancakes look good but they’re dry and you simply can’t get them down. You know, the kind that just become more and more dry dough in your mouth. I asked for fruit preserves, which got me another frown and deer-in-the-headlights look from our waitress. When I said«jam» she understood and brought Smucker’s jelly a.k.a. high fructose corn syrup with artificial coloring and flavor. I was better off with the maple syrup. Ended up leaving half of my pancakes on the plate, which is huge for me, as I was raised to always clean my plate. On the brighter side, they let us substitute breakfast potatoes for sweet potato fries, which were good, and I was told the omelet was also good. Probably won’t be back soon.

This place threw me off a little bit. The vibe of the restaurant was very elegant, but then they had servers wearing t-shirts and jeans. So, it was a bit confusing as to what the experience was going to be. I started off my meal with the Watermelon Salad. It was very refreshing and extremely delicious. I was pretty impressed something so simple could taste so good. My friend had the Fish Sandwich as their entrée. They were not impressed since it isn’t really was not impressive but still liked it. My dish I didn’t love so much. I’ve had Mussel countless times and this was the least memorable. Their bread choice was a good selection, but didn’t make these mussels stand out. I like the bread more than I liked the Mussels and the they broth they were cooked in. For dessert I had the Pineapple Flan. I enjoyed the flan, but wished they had used fresh pineapple instead. I basically ate the flan, but avoided the pineapple, those got left on the plate. In the end, the food matched the outfits not the décor which left me a somewhat disappointed. Then the services was quite slow and inadequate. The food was not horrible but as an overall experience, I likely would never come back.

The service was mediocre… Ordered shots of patron, and our server brought us a weird coffee colored patron, and no, it was not café patron. The food was delish, but in my opinion a tad over priced considering how basic it was(mac and cheese, truffle fries, and a civiche is what we orded) I loved the ambiance and the décor, and it was a great place for a date.

My husband and I had initially tried Tk’s food at a Unilocal event we went to a few months ago. Amongst all the restaurants, they stood out the most with their fantastic Braised Beef Short Ribs and Cabbage Slaw, and their Vanilla Mousse Cheesecake. Wow! It was really good, so much so, we had to go back and try them again. Made a reservation for a Friday night at around 9pm. We actually didn’t need one, because the restaurant wasn’t so busy after all. At first, I was a little worrisome, but quite honestly, I kind of prefer when the restaurant is kind of empty. That makes for a calming and relaxing atmosphere, which is exactly what Tk’s was. Dim lighting and comfortable seating, makes for a wonderful romantic setting. The décor was very welcoming. We decided to order a few dishes to share, rather than order a full meal. Without hesitation, we order the Braised Short Ribs again along with the Bang Bang Shrimp Lettuce Wraps. The short ribs were just as good as we remembered, however, the cabbage slaw was a bit salty for my taste. The lettuce wraps had quite a kick to it, so if you aren’t into spicy food, you might want to steer clear. I, on the other hand, LOVE spicy food, so this was great! We also got the Bake Mac n Cheese, which was just ok. nothing to rave about. and then for dessert we got the Vanilla Mousse Cheesecake and Crème Brulee. The brulee was ok, but the cheesecake was AMAZING! Definitely a must try! The food was great! Prices were reasonable. The waiter we had was a bit strange, but overall attentive. The one thing I found a bit odd was when we got our bill, they charged a State Tax. Um, last time I checked Florida does not have a State Tax. We asked our waiter about it and he couldn’t really give us a reason why they charged that. Sounded a bit sketchy to me, but since it was only .50 cents, we didn’t make a big deal about it. Besides the weird tax charge, I would definitely make my way back to Tk’s.

(See full post on ) Vanilla Mousse Cheesecake I am going to be honest I have never been a huge cheesecake fan until I took my first bite out of the vanilla mousse cheesecake. I soon learned that typical cheesecake has a piecrust as the base, sometimes making it a little too dense. At TK’s their head chef Mirabelle created her own wafer cookies. She then crushes, pats them down and then layers the mousse cheesecake on top. She then tops it with a fresh strawberries and raspberries. It really is perfection my friends. Fluffy and perfectly delicious. Pair it with: GL Laurent-Perrier Brut Lemon Blueberry Cake Their lemon blueberry cake is made with moist cake, cream cheese frosting and lemon coulis. The blueberries aren’t part of the cake mix as you would think — they are actually carefully layered throughout the cake. This is the perfect little summer treat for those that are looking for something sweet yet not too heavy. Side note: This cake is part of the lunch Miami Spice menu, so get it while it’s hot! Pair it with: Kracher Beerenauslese Decadent Chocolate Triple Now this one my friend is sinful. This slice of heaven is made with perfectly moist brownies, layered with a silky trio of chocolate mousse served with a fresh raspberry coulis. When you take your first bite the first thing you taste is the brownie and then you are hit with the three layers of chocolate mousse. Pair it with: Vanilla Coffee Mojito(I was able to try this and the mint they use really tastes like chocolate — like Andes Mint!)

TK’s has a fantastic menu to please any palate, and all at great prices. Classy ambiance inside, super casual outside – board games and all. Service is friendly and efficient. We’ve been here a few times for brunch. We’ve had the pancakes, omelets, and the fluffiest french toast I’ve had in Miami(better than all the big players). All were fantastic. The strawberry-banana and banana-coconut mojitos are packed with fresh fruit and are just to die for. Their mojito menu has 15+ creations, so I have my work cut out for me. :D In short, WELOVETHISPLACE. I would move upstairs and use them as my kitchen if I could.

This place has one if the nicest if not the nicest décor of the Grove. To top that off, it retains the laid back and chill atmosphere that makes the Grove a charming place. Now to the eating experience. I came here for brunch and order a latter and the ham eggs benedict. They both arrived promptly. The eggs benedict were as tasteful as expected, they came with a right amount of home potatoes. As for the latte, it was a delicious large refreshing drink. The best thing too is that the prices are very reasonable and within Grove standards. I recommend this place.

This is a great little find in the Grove. I have done happy hour and dinner here twice and each time has been awesome. We sit out on the patio with our dog, and the servers are always great and bring him a bowl of water. The food is very good. Haven’t had anything that we would not try again. And if you make it for the happy hour, the prices are really hard to beat. Location gives you a more private vibe than you get elsewhere in the Grove. The outdoor décor is pretty nice, covered from the rain with fans and intimate lighting. I would totally recommend this for a date night. We will definitely be going back to this place. Also… if you are burger fan… we drool over it every time it comes out of the kitchen.

I went here for happy hour. They offer half off their appetizers, $ 4 cocktails and $ 3 beers. This place is very intimate, low dim lighting and peaceful ambience. They have flat screens so you can still catch up on your sports. I recommend the arepas and chimichangas. I also had the jalapeño poppers(which unlike other places is actually spicy) and the fish and chips. However, the arepas and chimichangas is the way to go! Love this place! Will return shortly.

I have been frequenting the Grove area for as long as I can remember, and I had never seen or heard of this restaurant. I found a Groupon for it, so my husband and I decided to go for date night. Here is my break down: PARKING: Moderate to difficult, unless you want to pay $ 9.00 to park. AMBIENCE: 5 Stars — The waiters wear Converse shoes… SOWHAT? The place is VERY nice, but it also has a non-pretentious laidback kind of feel… Cue the board games! The décor seems a little confused, but I think that’s what they were going for. SERVICE: 4.5 stars. It was a 5 the first time we went, and the second time it was about a 3.5. I don’t judge restaurants based on ONE account, so I’ll let them keep their 4.5 stars. ;) FOOD: Definitely amazing if you are looking to try something different. The lamb was not my favorite, but the steak was cooked to perfection and the appetizers and desserts were phenomenal. TIPFORLIVINGSOCIAL/GROUPON USERS: The bill will include gratuity based on the original price of your order(pre-groupon credit).
