This place has become so hit and miss I wouldn’t recommend it anymore. Depending on when you go you can have an amazing, delicious experience or a bland, run of the mill, poor service experience. First time I went the service was amazing; a constant rotation of delicious meats, veggies and pineapple. The second time I went back there was only about 3 different meats available, one of which was insanely dry and disappointing. I went back thinking it was a fluke. Alas! It must have been, because again, great food, variety and service. So again, I talked it up and took some friends along. Unfortunately this time was like my second experience, very few meats(they didn’t have any of the popular ones and it was dinner time!) and the service was not great– only bringing around their limited option meats about every 5 minutes. Ultimately no. I would no longer recommend it. For the price, it’s to much of a gamble to know how your food will be.

Today my friends and I went in and it was yummy. The servers bringing around the meat and pineapple were very friendly, attentitive and remembered which kinds of meats we liked. Our waitor was friendly and on point(Kelton)? Not sure what his name was but that it was spelled with a «K» overall, good service, the only reason you didn’t get a 5 star was lack of caipirinhas… you need them!

If you have ever been to a good Brazilian steakhouse or just a decent steakhouse in general then you might get disappointed from this place. I love Brazilian steakhouse and That’s my top choice wherever I travel, but this one is a huge disappointment. Neediness to say I will never go back or recommend to anyone who’s looking for a good meal. The food selection is very small(both meats and salad bar). The meats were all over cooked(unless you like your steak cooked well done and some of them even look and taste like beef jerky then you might be ok with then).

If you want to be served a bite of food every 6 – 10 minutes, this place is for you! I would be surprised if the owner of this place has been within 1000 miles of Brazil. It’s as if they purposely are incredibly slow as to limit your intake of the food you couldn’t find at any buffet in town at half the price. The whole reason you go to a place like this… the reason it’s $ 30 a head. I might as well of set my money on fire. I’ve been to Brazilian style restaurants all over the world, including Brazil. This is an insult to Brazilian dining. Went home hungry and pissed.

My Wife and I came here for our first anaversery. She had been here before, but this was my first visit. She kept talking about the grilled pineapple and how good it was, and how I needed to try it. We came after the lunch rush, and there were two other tables seated. The host and waiter was very friendly and took our drink orders quickly. We both got the raspberry lemonade. Very good and refreshing. The salad bar and hot buffet was good. That’s were the good stoped and the dissapointment began. We tried a little bit of each type of meat, and each one was overcooked and dry. I could imagine how good each kind was if they just weren’t over cooked. The beef looked good, but we both just got the pork and chicken for the lower priced lunch. At the end of our meal, my Wife asked for the grilled pineapple she was talking about from the start of our meal. The server said that we couldn’t have any because we didn’t get the full priced lunch, and then abruptly walked away. We asked and got a solid No from the server to the customer. Bad. No attempt to find a way to say yes. You AWAYS find a way to say yes to your customer, even if it is followed with a ‘but.’ We would have been very open to ‘but it will be a little extra.’ That would have been cool. We left dissapointed, having really wanted to try the pineapple. I was dissapointed and my Wife was sad, having been looking forward to the pineapple all day. My suggestion would be for all of the employees to watch the customer service lesson«give them the pickle.» Just give them the pineapple.

So we are here visiting from Cali and my wife is kinda of a foodie so we agree to make reservations at Ipanema. We get there at 7: 30 and are seated within 20 minutes with several aqaintences. The service was good and the selection was average. The problem was that after I ordered the main dinner course, that consisted of bring a selection of brazillian cooked meats around. I noticed that several of the selctions meats on the menu that i paid for were not being served. I asked the waiter and he said he would check when he returned 10 min later he stated that they were all out. I was hoping that my self and the party that I was with would receive some discount or a visit from the manager. No oooo I was wrong the young waiter just apologized and sent us on our way. So if you want good service and food I do not recommend this establishment.

Loved this Brazilian churraasco. The service was friendly and the meat delicious. Only lost a star because one piece of chicken was undercooked. Atmosphere is fine nothing special but clean and comfortable. Brazilian cheese bread was bomb as was the Brazilian lemonade. Our server Jeremy was confident and helpful, great service. We will come back!

First of all, the staff is great. They are friendly and very accommodating. They have some of the best staff around. Second, they mark what is and isn’t gluten free for those with allergies. THANKYOU! The food is always delicious. My favs are the marinated chicken and the mustard steak. Yum. The salad bar is great, as well. Love the view, too.

Tried to go here on 3 separate occasions around 9pm and they were closed! Lights off, salad bar taken down with ice removed, not a person moving around ever. After calling they said open until 10pm and everything I find online says open until 10pm but that’s never the case. I can’t come earlier because of work but good God, either change the open hours or train the staff to stay until actual closing time.

This place should be renamed«Brazilian Chicken and Pineapple House» because they have much better chicken and more of it than they have steak. Salad bar food seems to be so so. Besides the chicken the Grilled pineapple is the best thing here!

I’d driven by it several times and have been craving meat. The selections were good. Many types grilled, which is how meat is meant to be done. Unfortunately they fell short in that about 70% of what we ate was overcooked. Almost to the point of inedible. The salad /hot food bar was ok, nothing to write home about.

Our first time here(A Thursday at 2:00) was a five star experience. Good food, a massive amount of tasty meat, including some unique ones like chicken hearts, and great service. This last time was a nightmare. It was a very busy night we had to wait, even after making a reservation. I finished a full plate of food from the salad bar before the first time the server with meat skipped our table. I asked our waiter how much longer until I could get some meat and had to wait a full 5 minutes before it finally made it to us. I ate another plate of salad bar only getting 1 piece of chicken and 1 piece of steak. then we sat around for almost 40 minutes with empty plates waiting for meat to come around our table. All told I got 3 pieces of chicken and 3 pieces of beef.(I don’t eat pork) We were there for a hour and fifteen minutes as we were leaving they brought out the lamb and what sounded like really good mustard steak. Several time our server asked us if we need anything else. Every time I said more meat. If I wanted to have a Golden Carol salad bar I would have gone there for half the price! We went for the MEAT! We will totally go back, but only for a late lunch early dinner on a weekday. I know when it is slow they will bring me the good stuff.

I have been in many churrascurias. This one is just O K. Salad bar was fresh and good, although quite limited in selections, and sides left a lot to be desired. I did think the pot roast was good. The first 10 skewered meat selections that were offered were chicken or pork. Then a piece of sausage. I had to ask 3 times for some beef. Finally a skewer of beef! It was called mustard beef and was over cooked and very tough. Then more chicken and pork. After asking again I was offered bottom sirloin. Again tough. At least it was fairly rare. I asked about the pineapple. It showed up soon after and we were cut a piece about 1 inch by 2 inches and since there was little left on the skewer we were asked to split it! We were very disappointed in the skewered meats. Saving grace was the salad bar and we did have good service from our waiter filling our water glasses. I’ll probably wait till I go back to Tucanos in Boise before I return to a churrascuria. $ 25 each + tip is way to much money for a salad and some grilled chicken.

The food at this location is wonderful and the experience is hard to find anywhere else. After reading that sentence, you’re probably asking why I gave them ONE star. Let me review this as fairly as possible so that you can get the full idea. I have dined at Grille from Ipanema numerous times; between the GroupOn deals, KHQ deals, and the coupons I come across, this place becomes very affordable. The buffet area they have set up is amazing; the variety of food they have is my favorite by far and I always make an effort to arrive starving so that I can pig out disgustingly to all of their mouthwatering food. If you have never been here before, the restaurant gives you a stop-light marker. Green, yellow and red. Each color corresponds to how fast you want staff with skewers to come around to your table. They have everything from garlic beef, to spicy chicken, to grilled pineapple. It’s absolutely delicious and worth the money. So again, why did I give them one star? They have the WORST response time to their mistakes. I dined there around our anniversary with friends and wanted it to be a special meal before going to the lake. We enjoyed our experience and tipped generously. What was their mistake? They overcharged our tip by about $ 6! I do not care if a restaurant mistakenly takes one cent over what we tip, the principle is that it must be corrected — otherwise, it’s considered stealing. We sent them emails, and wrote a Facebook post too I believe. The restaurant asked for our receipt number, which we gave to them. After several weeks, we did not hear updates, responses to our newest emails, and the situation was becoming a huge pain. We contacted our credit card company and demanded they strip the entire tip due to the lack of responsibility this restaurant has. Is it too much to ask for them to have proper audits on their receipts so that they don’t overcharge any customers? Is it too much to ask that they respond to emails when we ask questions about a serious issue? I do not think so. I have recommended other restaurants that provide this experience, but will never again eat nor recommend this place ever again. If you can’t trust them to handle your payments, how can I possibly trust I will have peace of mind after I’m done after a meal? Avoid this place, find other substitutes.

Grill from Ipanema has the best of both food worlds; buffet and continual table service. The rotisserie meat, vegetables and juicy fruit such as cinnamon spiced pineapple is a lovely experience on my tongue. But I am rapidly getting filled to the brim. Yet it just keeps comin, hoopla. Also glass walls here on lake Cda brings a gorgeous sunset for mine eyes. Which are bigger then my tummy, so to speak.
