Good coffee and great food. They also have the nicest outside area to sit and watch all the people going to and from the park with their dogs and their strollers or their dogs in strollers. I’ve had the best coconut macaroons here — I cannot over emphasize how lovely they are. The sandwiches and other baked goods are fresh and taste great too, and the portions for things like the hummus plate are pretty generous. The manager and most of the staff are really nice and lovely as well.

Great coffee and any breakfast sandwich you order with bacon comes with just the perfect amount, a ton. Parking is difficult on the street out front, but the library’s parking lot across the street is usually not too bad, but beware the two hour time limit. Chalk on your tires is a sign they’ve marked you for starting the clock.

Gahhhh! Their coffee is good and location is great; there are the pro’s for you. I’ve been in here at least a dozen times and I come for the coffee. But both, the people behind the cash register and the baristas are always and I mean always(can’t recollect one time that wasn’t the case), unfriendly, lack manners and act put-out, about having to be there. When I come in for coffee and a breakfast sandwich, I am in a wonderful and friendly mood and it would be awesome to be greeted in the same manner. It doesn’t matter who is working the counter, or the barista station, the service is always the same… must just be the culture of working there, but it doesn’t jive for me. I like the bread, on the Dave’s Killer Bread, Egg and Cheese Sandwich, but it’s under toasted, not buttered and comes with a measly portion of what I think are Egg Beaters and some cheap sort of cheese; all delivered to your table without a smile. Even though I kept going back for the coffee, I think I have had my fill of this place, as it stands, after my most recent, Friday morning visit.

Can’t beat the view of the park and the coffee is always good! Today I am going to make a point of grabbing some bread to go so I can let everyone know if that is a must buy if you are in too! Perfect spot to stop when riding the North Idaho Centennial Trail for coffee, beer, wine or snack. #itsmytrail #bikeidaho

This Bakery is in a nice location. It’s large and spacious and has lots of light. There’s outdoor seating. Clean bathrooms. The food was quite good. we split the turkey Panini and some chips. The staff could’ve been friendlier.

Always fast and friendly service, great food. Highly recommend it! Try the sticky rolls. Get them early, because they run out fast.

This is our favorite bakery! Actually, it’s much more than a bakery with wine/beer available in addition to the pastries, nonalcoholic type drinks, coffee, pizza, bread with dipping oils and antipasti platters… mmmm. Our local French Club meets here now almost every month of the year as we can each get the type of treat we want — sweet or savory, snack or meal. Wifi available, and comfy living room sofas near the fireplace… Great location, too, right next to the library and McEuen Park!

The very best selection of gourmet«Bakery» treats with an awesome view of the lake and Tubbs Hill. My wife and I often enjoy the salads and my favorite lunch is the mediterranean with added chicken and a chocolate dipped macaroon for a light dessert.

Delicious pastries, yummy paninis and coffee. Not the friendliest of service but a great place overall. Hours of operation are inaccurate on Unilocal, which was inconvenient as I chose this café to come study and had to leave after only ten minutes.

Coffee is good. Pastry yummy. Service is questionable at best. I actually saw the barista roll her eyes at a customer. I think customer service is essential in the coffee shop business, who wants to pay almost $ 5 for a coffee and not be treated well. It’s part of the experience.

Went here for a little afternoon pick me up after hiking tubbs hill. The chocolate dipped macaroons were delicious!!! Normally these are not my favorite but they were moist and not too sweet. Outside was crunchy and golden brown inside was soft! The blueberry scone was also one of the best scones I’ve ever tasted. Not dry at all and full of blueberry deliciousness! Great spot. The sandwiches and salads look tasty too.

Delicious food, baked items and bottomless coffee for the squatters. Close to the lake, the public library and lots to do.

I go here fairly regularly. Love the atmosphere, views, and food. The coffee is great and the scones are fantastic. Lots of plug-ins for your laptop so you can study or have a meeting. I’ve NEVER had an issue with service, and I’ve been going there for over three years.

I’d suggest stay away from here. Hair in the cookie an when I said something it was pulled out then the cookie was put back up. We had a pastry warmed up and fork was in the pastry. Pulled out and placed on the front counter. This is where cash and all is handled Then the fork was put back into the pastry after it sat on the counter. Staff should take a health course.

Great service and great food! I come here and enjoy everything from a grilled cheese to bagels and the occasional coffee. I always enjoy whatever I order! On the weekends I’ll swing by with my wife for a quick coffee or sandwich and she always agrees with me when I say this is my favorite spot in CDA!

Absolutely horrendous service, sandwiches were gross, found hair in them, dirty place, and not to mention he kicked my family out because my children were eating subway. 3 families left because of how degrading he made my family feel. Never again will I come back and I hope no one else will either!

With so many great options downtown for breakfast and coffee it is a wonder to me that anyone bothers to go here. The pastries are often very dry and dont bother asking the staff about anything on the menu. they seem to have no idea. My coffee was horrendous! I took one sip and threw it out. My boyfriend who doesnt drink coffee even commented on the smell that was coming from my cup(it was badly burnt). I wont go back and reccomend that you steer clear.

Terrible service, unfriendly employees, average food. I came here hoping to find a delicious bakery that was filled with cozy comfort food. What I got instead left me chaffed and wanting an hour of my life back. I asked for my panini to be made without the dressing and was told employees were not allowed to make fresh sandwiches, that all sandwiches were made in the morning(I’m here at 6:00pm). After much cajoling by my girlfriend they finally agreed to make one sans dressing. We also ordered a meat and cheese plate. When ringing me up they attempted to overcharge me and argued about the amount. Turns out I was right. When the food was served the sandwich was barely warm and about as average as could be. The meat was clearly from a local grocery store package and the Swiss cheese flavorless. I now understand their insistence on dressing, it is to hide the lack if flavor from the actual contents of the sandwich. The meat and cheese tray was fine but it was served with bread and olive oil and balsamic for dipping and the olive oil was rancid. When we pointed it out to the server he said he’d look into it and never came back. Five minutes later he was mopping the floor. I find it interesting too that a bakery that advertises their fresh bread has signs everywhere saying they use Dave’s bread(a commercially available grocery store bread) for their sandwiches. If I could give this place zero stars I’d still feel like I was being too generous.
