A most awesome restaurant! We always try to schedule our travel between Washington and Montana so that we can eat here. Breakfast is always good but the chicken and dumplings is simply amazing! The staff is always helpful and the owner walks around to make sure you’re taken care of when he’s here. Great place!

Great food and grand size portions! Be careful what you order because you might not be able to eat all of it!

This place is a solid choice for breakfast in the C’da area. It’s very much a small local Diner that has a vintage feel. While I was waiting for her friend to arrive I talked with one of the owners and asked about their specialties. I was told that the biscuits and gravy and chicken fried steak are both some of the best around. It just so happens that I have always judged breakfast diners based on the quality of their biscuits and chicken fried steak. So after cruising over the extensive menu, I settled on the chicken fried steak scramble. For my side I asked for a biscuit with a side of gravy(you see where this is going). After the food arrived(portions are large!), I chowed into the chicken fried steak and biscuit. The biscuit was fine, but a tad on the dry side. The gravy was good, but it’s pretty hard to screw up gravy. I actually found the chicken-fried steak average at best. The rest of the scramble that came with it was really good. I don’t think I would order this again if/when I come back… which is a shame because I had really high hopes for the chicken fried steak being talked up so much. As previously noted, this is a solid option for breakfast but the Unilocal reviews and the discussions with the owner made me expect a little bit more than what I got.

This is where my wife and I went on our first date. Absolutely outstanding food and customer service. Great location. Still wanted to try one of those gigantic cinnamon rolls but too scared to LOL.

Came here for breakfast based on the reviews. Good service, good coffee, liked the breading used on the chicken fried steak. Unfortunately, that’s about it. Biscuit was dry and room temp. Potatoes came out of a bag and were also luke warm. Same with the scrambled eggs and gravy. Just confounded at all the raves? Maybe an off day for us, but(again) the service was good :)

Seriously amazing! The eggs Benedict on their corn bread was to die for. My boyfriend and I stopped on a whim before heading back to Boise. As someone not from the area, I was not disappointed! And the cinnamon roll was huge. Everything was yummy!

Great food, friendly staff. Only thing — if you’re a portly fella like myself, don’t sit at the counter — you might have trouble clawing your way back out. LMAO. I speak from red-faced experience. LOL

What a great experience and great food! We came in for a busy Mother’s Day brunch, the owner was there to greet us himself, and the food was delicious. Everyone who worked there was really nice. I ordered Jimmi’s Chimi and it was really delicious and decadent. Biscuits and gravy, with bacon, eggs, cheese, and gravy put inside of a tortilla and fried up like a chimichanga. Then drenched with gravy and topped with cheese. Holy Moses it was good, and probably provided all of the calories that a grown man would need for an entire day :). One of the best breakfast joints I’ve been to. I highly recommend it.

Haha, was just thinking I should start doing these Reddit style. TL;DR — cool, friendly place, super busy so even if you do get a seat, be prepared to wait for your food. That said, food was super tasty. Ok, for those willing to read the long version. ;) Jerry and I ate here on our way through town, thanks to the Unilocal reviews. It was a Saturday, right at noon. When we got there, we were told they weren’t going to be able to seat us unless we wanted the table pretty much directly in front of the door. We are shameless and don’t mind eating like zoo animals so we took it. After we were seated they had to turn away a few more parties. This place hops. And for good reason. The wait staff are very friendly and make you feel right at home. The menu is diverse but not overly so– a good selection of breakfast and lunch items without being overwhelming. He decided on the chili with cornbread and deep fried bacon. I got the BLT(yawn, I know) and a cup of the chicken tortilla soup. The chili was flavorful and not too spicy for sissy lips. The deep fried bacon is interesting– it’s coated in panko and actually not as greasy as you might expect. It also wasn’t especially bacony. It was good though. My BLT was so-so and in hind sight I wish I had tried something else. The soup was seasoned perfectly and I could gave eaten a bowl. It also came with a tiny cup of baked beans which were sweet, bacony, and a nice surprise. We also got a big-as-your-head cinnamon bun for the road. We haven’t eaten it yet. It looks good and they packaged it thoughtfully for us. All that and an apple juice for under $ 30(before tip). If you’re in the area, I highly recommend.

Best breakfast in the Inland Northwest. It’s a classic, all American diner. You will not leave hungry and you will leave happy. The staff is incredibly welcoming, the food is everything you would expect and more(seriously, you are going to get more than you thought possible). I have made my way around most of the menu and have never been disappointed. My go to is the pecan roll. It is gigantic so Sydney and I usually split it. If you are coming on a weekend during a typical breakfast time, don’t be surprised if you have to wait. Jimmy’s is almost always packed, but they do a good job of turning tables so the wait is never too long. Jimmy’s has been visited by the Food Network’s Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives so if by some miracle you hadn’t noticed that yet in the reviews, here is the obligatory mention. I’m rambling now, but do yourself a favor and don’t leave town without stopping by here, your stomach will thank you.

All the employees were wonderful and friendly. The food and portions were great. The eggs, potatoes, toast and sausage were awesome. Never had a breakfast sausage as good as they served. Definitely will be a repeat customer

Had the country benedict breakfast the gravy has a good creamy and rich flavor the sausage has a good crispy crust while the inside is cooked perfect. The eggs are cooked perfect. The hash brown are on point as well. The biscuit is kind of doughy but still good. coffee is very good the staff are friendly the price point is decent no complaints. All and all pretty happy with this place

Old school diner. We order biscuit and gravy and a skillet. Biscuits and gravy was amazing Note: biscuits are massive so keep that in mind when ordering. Pecan roll was massive and taste amazing. Pro wait staff took care of us and was friendly. We will be visiting again when we are in town.

This is among the best diners I’ve eaten at. It’s clean. The service is prompt, knowledgeable, accommodating and very friendly. The food though, wow! I had the chicken fried steak. It was smothered in the best sausage gravy I’ve had in a restaurant ever. The hashbrowns and CFS were crispy and they use real eggs. I couldn’t be happier. They open promptly at 5:30am too!

So it’s breakfast time check my triple D app cross check with my Unilocal app and BAM… Jimmy’s down the Street wins! This is definitely your old school diner with great food, large plates and that sort of «Mel kiss my grits» swagger, however, the service was great. The husband/wife owners were both working hard ensuring everything was going well. If you like biscuits and gravy maybe order just one, the biscuit was as large as the plate. To sum it up in one word… GO!!!

I made the trek from Spokane after breakfast at Chaps. I told my GF on the phone I was only going to have a coffee to make it an official DDD visit. That was until I walked I and saw the ginormous caramel pecan rolls. GIMMEONEOFTHOSE! then stand back and put up a tarp because it’s gonna get ugly. I just ate at another joint and there was no way I could tackle the Behemoth but I had the friendly waitress set me up. I had a taste while had drinking my 4th coffee of the day. The sweet roll was decadent and delicious. I said it was so sinful I needed to go to church after eating it! The place is bright and happy inside. Such a pleasure to be there. I envy the locals for being able to eat there daily. Had a nice chat with the owner who was a nice fellow truly an asset to his community. If you are in Spokane WA get in your car and drive here!!!
