This bar was okay. Seems like the young persons hang out so we had a good time on Saturday night but they had no food whatsoever.

Went in to watch the game here. Ordered a drink and the bartender said how much we owed. He never came back to collect. We were planning on staying for a while, but our empty beer and whisky glasses were looked at by the bartenders multiple times and ignored until we finally just left cash and left. If you like bars where the bartenders are more worried about getting laid and giving out free drinks than helping everyone else, then this is your bar. Cheers.

Absolutely terrible. My fiancé and I went in during the summer to grab a drink(they didn’t offer food, no bar snacks, nothing). The bartender seemed preoccupied with a few people it looked like he knew. I understand wanting to say hello to friends so we weren’t upset. We were upset after waiting 10 minutes sitting at the main bar without even being greeted. We got up and left.

Nice place. Friendly staff. Offers patio seating right on the sidewalk. Great for people watching. I am suprised they do allow vaping inside however. The drinks seem higher priced than other places nearby. I’ll be back

So much fun. Stopped in for«a» drink… and four hours later. We were still laughing, catching up, and playing the juke box. Great atmosphere and Amy was a great bartender she can dish out and take sarcasm with the best of them. Ask about the derailer!

Average bar. Great tvs. They don’t cook in house(no kitchen) they partner with a burger bar down the street. Not a whole lot of options, but the food was still pretty good. Friendly service. Nothing really makes it stand out from any other bar.

A douche bar to find douches at. You’re never going to say ‘I found my husband/wife-to-be here’ unless it’s spouse 2 of 5. Local newly single boys looking too hard for you ladies– guard up. Drinks watched. Get a beer– drink pours are all over the place!

We came in for happy hour and it was a very nice experience. Staff was chill but we still got our stuff. Sliders(that were actually made at a different location) came out fast and buns were cooked to perfection. Sometimes it’s all about the buns

Stay away from this place. Terrible service. Ten of us visited. Ordered Irish coffee. Server said that the drink was not available as there was no coffee made. She would not make a pot. Since we were about the only people in the place, we were quite surprised. Won’t be going back. There are much better places in CDA to spend my money. Try Capone’s on 4th Street. You won’t be disappointed.

Have been there twice now, décor reminds me of John Barleycorns in Chicago. Decent craft brew selection, seems like they are fairly busy with the 20 something bar scene and top 40 music at night. Disliked that all the food comes in a styrofoam box and service has been slow even when there was only 6 tables.

It was my first visit this past Friday and I must say I fell in love with the place. Atmosphere is awesome and bartenders are on point! So I had to go back again, which I did. Had a great time Saturday. Definitely a spot I will be a regular at.

Awful bar, full of hipsters and wannabe yuppies. If overly loud music, overpriced poorly made drinks, and a bar full of douches is your thing, though, this is the place for you. Don’t believe me? Take a sober stroll along the sidewalk around 11pm during the summer and get an eye of the pretentious superficiality and lame machismo that oozes from the place.(Just for fun, try counting all the«popped» collars you encounter.) Just don’t breathe deep, the amount of cologne in the air might trigger anaphylaxis.

Had I reviewed this place after my first visit in December I would have given it one star but after a repeat visit yesterday afternoon I have changed my tune… Amazing how a good bartender can change an atmosphere. Sterling was an absolute doll, he is quick witted and on top of refilling drinks. He not only makes you feel welcome but if it is slow he does his best to get the patrons interacting with other patrons which is a feat in itself. My drink were delicious and the boyfriend who is typically quiet was vocal and a bit drastic which was nice to see. Sterling was able to get my boyfriend to feel comfortable enough to be himself and not many have done so. Thank you beacon for a great time yesterday.

This would be a two star except one of the staff, who happened to be a bouncer, was super nice and friendly. The drinks are mediocre, the bar service is fast but impersonal, the music is loud, the crowd is loud, and some of the patrons were privileged, belligerent foreign students. If you don’t know what I’m talking about, ask a local. I wouldn’t run back to this place.

I loved this place! I went there with my wife to get a couple drinks and were pleasantly greeted and taking care of very well! The bartender was extremely friendly and gave us advice on great places to eat(they no longer serve food here) and also where to get a good beer! He was knowledgeable about the beers being served and poured them well! It’s a pretty chill place but I could still watch a few games on the multiple flat screens around the bar and outer walls. Also, the happy hour specials are fantastic! Seriously, I don’t think you can beat it! It’s every day from 4−8pm and every beer on tap is $ 2 for a full pint!!! Incredible! I very highly recommend stopping here for a few drinks!

Nice corner pub in downtown CDA. The place is clean with large flat screen TVs at the center bar and along the walls. We came in late afternoon on a weekday and the place had a small crowd. After all, it was still early. We met some locals as well as some out-of-towners — nice crowd. Bartenders were friendly and you can’t beat their Happy Hour prices!

Well we come in for a drink on a busy weekend night. The bartender was great and very quick, however when we sat down the man next to me was extremely intoxicated. he asks a female bartender for a soda and she takes his twenty dollars and puts it in her pocket. He doesn’t get a soda. Doesn’t get change. He gets robbed. It was awful to see someone steal from some poor guy who didn’t know what was going on. Bartender Is a thief

Well I will tell you upfront I am good friends with the owner of this pub and since he was in the Navy and could kick my ass, I better write a great review of this! LOL. All kidding aside, I really enjoy this place to get my night started when planning a looooonngg night of partying in downtown Coeur D’Alene. I absolutely love the bartenders here. Super people and know what you want before you sit down. The bar is a square bar set in the middle of the building with TV’s located above the bartenders on each side of bar. There is a cool raised seating area to the back of the bar that lets you look out over the bar and crowd. They have one pool table here and one dart board. It can get very loud in here with the fun crowd! It also gets packed with the«hip and beautiful» crowd around 10pm on the weekends. They have a full liquor license here, so nothing is off the menu. They have several draft beer choices, and decent pitcher prices. Its great here in summer as you can sit outside along Sherman and people watch or in my case bikini watch! Really really good pizzas! The mens restroom is in an old bank vault! Love the owner, love the location, love the bartenders, and now they better love me! I am thinking a shot of patron is in order! Cheers!

The Beacon is the name of an agency I used to manage. Now when I hear the word«Beacon», the color drains from my face and my first instinct is to curl up in the fetal position. Fortunately for me, *this* Beacon was nothing like *THAT* Beacon. For starters, this Beacon was quiet. And clean. And the people were, if not exactly friendly, civil. The bartender here isn’t in it to make new friends, but he’ll pour your Guiness(poorly) and get your wine(ask for RED zin, or you’ll end up with a glass of pink wine by default) quickly and he won’t give you any guff for being an out-of-towner. There are TVs above the bar playing sports broadcasts but the tvs are smaller than what you’d expect in a real sports bar and thus easy to ignore if you’re not a big sports fan. If you happen to enjoy watching sweaty men run around in tight pants, you will have to strain your eyes and crane your neck in order to sneak a peak. There is beer, wine, and liquor and the place is huge. This past Saturday found us front and center at the bar, midafternoon, in the middle of a snow storm. Perhaps the snow was keeping people at home, because there were only a handful of people in the bar with us. They have a long bar menu, with burgers, veggie burgers, and plenty of yummy-sounding bar snacks. The Beacon was fine, but I wouldn’t go out of my way to come back next time I’m up visiting. I’d probably stop in for a burger if nothing else was open, but it just felt too sterile and impersonal for me.
