Best little breakfast spot! Staff is super friendly and I have yet to try something I didn’t like. The biscuits and gravy are my favorite and their coffee is wonderful. Beware of the pancakes… they are huge, fluffy, and addicting! Love this place!

If it could have 10 stars it would get it. Excellent service and the prices are great… the steak and egg breakfast was amazing and eggs Benedict perfect! Definitely will become a regular to this restaurant!!!

Ordered the French toast combo, which was pretty good, but nothing special. The eggs were slightly undercooked and bacon a bit overcooked. Also ordered a side of biscuits and gravy. The gravy was pretty good and flavorful, just wish the biscuits weren’t so dense. Coffee was good too. Husband ordered the breakfast burrito, which he enjoyed along with hash browns. Another reviewer said their’s were soggy, these however were nothing close to soggy. My only real issue I had was our waitress. Maybe she was having an off day, but she never came to check to see if we needed anything. She only came to our table to take our order, bring our food, and immediately left our bill when she brought our food. Had to wave her down just to get drink refills and ask for syrup. For pancakes and French toast? Come on, girl. To top it off, she was pretty grumpy. In all fairness, many of the other waitresses seemed great!

Good old fashioned breakfast. Friendly staff that made sure my coffee mug was never empty. Lots of locals were there, shows that’s it’s a good price and good food.

Good small town diner. Food was good and the atmosphere exactly what you would want on a late breakfast morning in North Idaho.

Our extended family goes there all the time so we joined them when visiting Coeur D’Alene — best breakfast ever! The place was comfortable and the servers were all very friendly and had great banter with the patrons. We will definitely return!

Well, we thought we’d give it another try, but alas, it was subpar, again. I’m so disappointed because I was really looking forward to the eggs benedict. The hollandaise was too thick(I think they use a powder to make it), the biscuit was soggy, and the egg was slightly overcooked. The hash browns were soggy, as well, and not well browned. They were drowning in butter. The coffee was good and our waitress was excellent. Now, if they could just get the cook, right. I ordered a half order and they only took a dollar off. We will most definitely not eat here again.

The place was clean, the waitress was hustling all over the place, it looked like she was the only one here and yet our glasses were alway full and it did not take long to get our food even with a bunch of regulars in the place. At first it seemed like she was rude but when I stopped and paid attention I realized she was just busy and trying to take care of everything fast and efficiently. The food was really good my wife had a steak breakfast and was cooked perfect and had a seasoning on it that was really tasty, usually a steak in a place like this is unflavorful since it has to appeal to several types but this was good. I had the loaded hash browns and it was good… normal hasbrowns though and would have been better in my opinion with home fried type of hashbrowns but they were not skimpy on the loaded add in items and we liked their tea just wish they served it in bigger glasses but then I am used to tea in the Texas hill country. We will definitly come back. Normally my wife makes me leave the tip because she is cheap and does not like to leave much unless the food and server were to her liking and today she left a 20% tip.

Visiting Coeur d’ Alene from Oregon, this place has the best breakfast! We stayed at the Super 8 and went to elmers for the first 2 mornings, big mistake! We should have gone to the Broken Egg every day. You could tell everything was homemade and just had that fresh made awesomeness to it. I highly recommend this place to any and all travelers who visit Coeur d’ Alene.

We tried this cute, homey diner this morning based on the great reviews posted here. Sadly, the food didn’t live up to our expectations. It was o.k., but nothing special at all. The staff, however were great. They were busting it and taking good care of everyone in the place. I loved all of the wall art.

Great breakfast! My husband had the chicken fried steak and it was far superior than any that he has had in the last few years! Homemade biscuits, the bacon was cooked perfectly, and I had the best pancake too! Smiling faces and great service too’

I was nervous… no reviews on Unilocal, but tried it anyway. Glad i did, great foods, good generous portions, right price! Btw, where do you find four slices of bacon as a side? Most joints would only give you two. Definitely coming back when in the area!
