I write short reviews. No need for all those words that other reviews have. I like this place. Dave(I think) is a nice knowledgeable guy. Very helpful. I’m going back today and will keep going back. I highly recommend this place. That’s what 5 stars mean pal.

All the Best is one of the true stores oriented solely to health foods unlike the ginormous WF not too too far away with its tempting delicious gelato or Fresh Market with its HFCS and artificial flavors and colors. Its old school charm and very friendly and knowledgeable staff make perusing their shelves not only pleasant but worthwhile. One day when I was there and it was unbelievably hot outside they offered a cooler full of icy coconut water which saved my life, LOL. I also picked up some homeopathic remedies to replenish my stock. I would have loved to buy more but I was traveling and did not my goodies to spoil. Besides, I was stuffed from numerous croissants from French Memories! Next time, I will bring a cooler. :)))

A nod of appreciation goes to Unilocal friend Lydia L. who mentioned this store to me recently, prompting me to realize that as many times as I’ve been here, I’ve never reviewed it. So here goes. This small natural foods market is a nice addition to Cohasset Village and has been here over two years now having replaced an antique shop. Antique shops abound in these parts but we don’t have many other local natural food stores so this place has been a welcome addition to the neighborhod. I come here every few weeks or so to buy some of my groceries and to see what might be new. The owner is so congenial it’s fun to come by to see him. That’s his likeness drawn on the front of the store sign. Aside from the usual market items, you don’t know what else you might find here. For example, during my visit yesterday afternoon, I spotted some beautiful and colorful hand baskets hanging up on a wall, all of them made in Ghana. Once I got back home I was sorry I didn’t buy one so I’ll be back during the week to pick one up. One of those would be lovely to tote home goods. Better yet, one for me, one for a gift! There are some things I now always come here to purchase. One of those things is the organic Finnish licorice which is delicious and a real treat. If you like black licorice, this is the real deal. I love it. This is also the place where I’ll always come to buy my big bottle of Dr. Bronner’s peppermint soap. This is the liquid soap I’ve been using almost exclusively since college. I still think it’s the best. All natural, all good. I also tend to buy my miso here. That said, there’s still plenty else to peruse and I happily spend some time wandering around the store. I never feel frenzied or in a rush. It’s a peaceful, more mindful shopping experience. There is a pretty decent assortment of organic items so it’s easy to stock up on a variety of good eats as well as health and beauty products. It’s a bit more expensive than a larger store but wanting to keep a local business with such great service and such a great vibe thriving, is one of the reasons I keep returning. I’m old enough to remember when local, natural foods stores used to abound and when the monolithic, corporate giant that is Whole Foods didn’t exist. The experience back then was always more personal with foods and products that for the most part came from the area you were in. They were usually cool places too with a real feel for the communities they were in. They were stores you came to hang out in and run into people as much as you did to shop. Sadly, most of those places of yore are long gone, so to me, it’s important to support the ones that remain and to applaud the newer ones, like this, that have had the guts to open up and the nerve to believe in their own success. Stop on by, have a browse and a chat and come away with some great products that are good for you too.
