Forced me to pay them $ 1,200 after move out by tricking me into not cleaning my carpets.
HEAD of maintenance told me not to clean my carpets at move out inspection — told me their vendor is cheaper, written estimate of $ 150 for carpet cleaning. Post move-​out maintenance person inspected the apartment, saw dirty carpets, and marked them all as «replace!» and sent me a nice $ 1,200 bill. With a lovely looming threat of sending it to collections of I didn’t pay in 10 days.
Completely underhanded and deceitful.
Also, every lease year your lease amount will skyrocket with very little room for negotiation. Mine would have gone up $ 600 in less than 2 years if I hadn’t left.
Grounds are great, townhouses are great with some minor issues — very squeaky stairs, some Internet wiring issues, cheap laminate flooring — but very livable.
Staff is friendly, and maintenance staff are really nice guys — when they’re not giving incorrect instructions that either intentionally or accidentally cost me so much money with no options to fight it.
