Nice to see a place like this in Cohoes. Nice wine list, good size pour, like that they suggest wines right on the menu that go with the different plates. Lobster bite sauces were so good it was a shame that the actual lobster portion was so tiny. Maybe add some claws to keep price down but increase portion size, had the scallops, harvest salad & escargot, all good size and delicious. Waitress & bartender lady were very pleasant. Will definitely go back.

What a find! Definitely uncharted territory(and almost ends of the earth for us-or just end of 787 if you want to get technical). Lovely little wine bar just 15 – 20 min drive from downtown Albany. We stopped in on a Sat night and were pleasantly surprised with their live music! This is truly a wine bar and tapas type of spot so don’t come hangry. We started with the cheese plate which was well constructed and for $ 12 it was a steal! The cheese plate included a generous and warm loaf of bread, goat cheese with honey(3 of my favorite things on earth), apples, bleu cheese, a cheddar and olive tapenade. It was perfect and a good portion of all of the items. We weren’t too hungry so we opted for the lobster shooters and the lobster mac n cheese to share. The lobster shooters were ok but definitely undersized, they bring 3 dipping sauces but there’s hardly enough lobster to try them all. The lobster mac n cheese was great, very creamy and the pasta was perfectly cooked. Next time, I’ll try some of the other dishes like the escargot and the duck. Tip: the place is tiny with a total of 4 tables for 4 and a few other 2 seaters. The bar has some additional seats and there’s a cozy fireplace/couch area if you’re just looking to sip on a drink and munch on some cheese(definitely a great option if you catch the live music).

Love it here. It’s a hidden gem in Cohoes, and small enough so not many people know about it just yet. I’m sure that will change in coming months/years though. They have an extensive wine list with something to please everyone, as well as some draft beers. Their food specials are always mouth watering, but their regular menu items are delicious as well. Check their facebook page for specials. Don’t expect to go here looking for large portions and dinner sized entrees. This is a tapas restaurant… meaning you should go with friends and sample one of everything! I have never been disappointed in anything I’ve eaten. You can just tell that the quality of the ingredients is amazing, because everything is just SOGOOD!

Secret treasure. Make the trip from Troy or Albany to have a drink & apps at Spindles. Prices are great and their small plates are amazing. My friends have said good things about their brunch too. It’s tiny inside, but perfect for a date night or catching up with a couple friends.

Best tapas in Cohoes!(Only tapas in cohoes) Wonderful hangout for the 50 and over crowd to mingle. «Cougar Den» Also, the piano is always playing and the wine is nice and full bodied.

I’m proud of Cohoes for this little gem. GREAT craft beer selection. I don’t know much about wines but I like that they have NY wines. The ones I’ve tried are tasty. They have a big menu. I’ve only tasted the bacon wrapped dates but they were pretty remarkable considering they’re stuffed with chorizo that ACTUALLY tastes like chorizo. Happy hour looks legit. Can’t wait to partake. They’ve got a piano and live music on the weekends. I wish they were open on Mondays. Since I work and live in Cohoes this is the first place I think of to go and celebrate Monday being over. Sigh.
