Really good food. the only downside is that the male owner is a grade A a**hole. I don’t think i’ll be back here. I had a rough morning and greeted him on the phone really nicely and for someone to give me a attitude at 9 in the morning, its so uncalled for. If you don’t like your job get a new one. I’ve been in cold spring for almost 2 years and loved this place up until today when he was like «well oh sh*t you want a whole order.» I did ask if i could get a order of the chicken quesdilla lunch special, as well as other things. Like what were you expecting when i called and said can i get a order of… And they say city people are RUDE

Lucky enough to try this neat looking deli near my job site and then having one of my favorites as their Thursday lunch special «Chicken Cordon Blue» it was delicious! Wish they took cards nit just cash.

This is one of my favorite delis anywhere. It’s always clean and the food is amazing. It’s reasonably priced and the counter people are the best. I’ve been coming here for years and they never disappoint! I recommend this place to everyone and always stop when I’m going down Route 9.

The sandwiches are great, always fresh. the roast beef is prime homemade, they have excellent lunch specials at really good prices. I live close and in 5 years never disappointed. The daily fresh baked muffins are unreal and if you get a fresh baked pie: either Apple, blueberry or cherry, it’s just off the charts. Now they have fresh authentic NYC bagels

I used to love B&L deli. It had great food and friendly staff. It’s changed over the past few years. Food has become average and staff is unpleasant. Catering has also suffered from these problems. I have tried to place three separate catering orders within the past year but decided not too because they acted like it was too much work for them. Too bad, because they used to be my ‘go to’ when I needed catered-type food. I know other people have had this problem, too. I have found another place that has better quality and pleasant service. B&L is not worth the aggravation.

Absolutely love the food at this deli. Living in Pennsylvania but originally being from NY, I miss delis. The roast beef heroes and all sandwiches for that matter, are always great at B&L. The cold cuts are always piled high and the veggies are fresh. Getting breakfast at B&L is very reasonable money-wise, and delicious. B&L has become one of my go to stops when visiting family in New York from PA and I always enjoy it. The staff is friendly and prompt. Keep it up B&L! Until next time… :)

Nice deli. Good sammies always packed with cold cuts. Be prepared for $ 8 – 9 wedge but You can easily split it with someone else and grab a large bag of $ 2 chips

One of the best deli/sandwich shops around. Everything I’ve ever gotten from there is fantastic. Super sandwiches, and a nice sides case (potato salad, grilled veggies etc that always looks freshly made and appetizing.) Their assortment of biscotti– well it’s hard to choose which is the best so I usually am compelled to buy an assortment to enjoy at home. Yum! They also catered for 2 events I attended and the desserts and food were beautiful and tasty. I have not had the chance to try their main dishes. Seem I always go there when in the mood for a great sandwich. Judging by how good everything I’ve had so far is, I have no doubt it’s fresh and tasty.

They definitely make some really great sandwiches. And they carry my favorite Bear Mountain Roasters coffee! I’ve only lived in the area a couple of years and I definitely picked up on the fact that they are friendlier towards the locals and some of the staff is definitely friendlier than others but I don’t take it personally. They make great food!

Ive been Staff and visitor to the camp up the road since 1992 and «the Deli» has always been my staple place to eat in the area. amazing staff, amazing food, and a great selection of almost everything you could think of. even now while preparing to spend my labor day at the camp, I am thinking about tomorrows trip to the Deli. sad but true, and as someone who grew up in Brooklyn and Long Island and worked my college years at a deli, I hold them at the top.
tomorrows sandwich:
chix cutlet on a hero «wedge» LTM mozz, balsamic, and roasted red peppers.
this hero will be ordered for lunch while im making my breakfast run.
PS Ive never had the homemade pies and cakes but they always look ridonkulous

Muffins are still very good (but got slightly smaller in size)
breakfast egg sandwiches got worse lately, they all really over-cooking eggs to the brown color and it changes all flavor to undesirable. hope they can change it.

When I am caught between a rock and a hard place (home and Poughkeepsie) there is B&L right in the middle to offer me up not only a nice cuppa joe or tea but excellent service. OK, an occasional biscotti too. And when I say «yay much milk» they always seem to get it just right. :))) And they make a nice bagel too. A little cream cheese, tomato, black pepper just the way I likey!
The B&L Deli is a local institution where, at lunch time, you will stand elbow to elbow with those ISO a good home cooked meal. Everyday they have another special hot meal which are not only delicious but well priced and cooked with love. Or grab a sandwich custom made to your liking. It is all there and it is all good!
