Our third visit to Mia’s yielded another wonderful meal after a return trip from local campgrounds. In the past my wife and I have ordered pizzas(all excellent!), but on this occasion we opted for portobello mushroom sandwich and wonderfully prepared Big Burger. What’s intriguing about Mia’s is what one orders is made from simple, commonly available ingredients. The Big Burger’s beef must have been recently ground and the lettuce, onion and other condiments were incredibly fresh and crisp. On this visit we sat outside on the patio on an early June day. I commented that the only sounds on this gorgeous day were the birds chirping in the trees. Patio service was just as friendly and efficient as you would expect indoors. All in all, the ambiance at Mia’s makes for an enjoyable and, if you choose, a leisurely experience.

Giant pizza to go and it was yummy! Also had a couple of appetizers and they were fine. Good option for a night off from cooking.

We ordered the Mia’s classic combo. We thought it was just okay. We expected a different taste for brick oven. The customer service was good. Our waitress was nice. The restaurant was clean. Note — Pizza size options are 12″ and 16″. They don’t sell slices.

Holy. I believe this place has the BEST pizza I’ve ever tasted in my entire life. I came here for the first time a year ago after a long backpacking trip in Emigrant wilderness. We were starving, and I wasn’t able to enjoy the full experience. I came back in February with my mom and girlfriend to reevaluate, as I remembered it being really good. I WASSORIGHT. We were seated quickly because the place was pretty empty on a rainy Sunday afternoon. We ordered a half-margherita and half chicken garlic. I’ll start with the crust. I am forever in search of the perfect pizza crust. I’m a stickler for thin, crispy, just barely moist crust. Mia’s had it all. I could see the guy in the kitchen flipping the pizza and I already had a good feeling. Everything about the crust was perfect. Next, the toppings. The margehrita(no idea of the spelling!) was classic, just what I expected. Some olive oil drizzled over the top made it just that much better. The garlic chicken is an instant orgasm. With sweet, whole garlic cloves, moist chicken, and a creamy white sauce, I think I found nirvana. Everything played together perfectly. We polished off an entire 28″ between the three of us in record time. Whenever I eat pizza, I’ll always be comparing it to Mias stellar creations! Make sure to come by when you are in the area! So much yum.

Eh wanted to like this place bc workers were nicish and ambience was nice. Buttt we ordered a pizza to go. Waited at the little waiting area for to go orders. Dad saw a pizza that looked like it could be ours but it was boxed and put on the expedite window. 15 minutes later someone looks at that pizza and calls our name. Just because its a to go order doesnt mean we like our pizza cold. It was just disappointing bc we were waiting there patiently the whole time while our pizza was ready while there were plenty of workers walking by, not checking whos pizza it was. Also, there was a long blondeish hair in my pizza slice. So yeah, gross.

Very very very bad customer service. Servers are super rude and disrespectful. Bitches ass on their head. Please please don’t go to this place they don’t respect their Cutomer.

Great little place. Went to Pinecrest for camping and drove to find this place. Ordered what I believe to be a Margarita Pizza(went last summer). Possibly the best pizza I’ve ever eaten! Nothing wrong with it. A great little break from camping food. Even contemplating driving two hours up there just to get some pizza.

We have a family mountain home that was built in the 60’s. Through the years there haven’t been that many places where we could eat and feel we got a great meal. Mia’s is the exception. Great for families and couples. Yummy food! My favorite is the steak salad and french onion soup. My family loves the pizza selections. I’m not a TV lover, and there are several TVs which I think are a distraction, but that is what sells nowadays.

Amazing pizza the most delicious I’ve tried in Cali. We always make it a pit stop on the way to pinecrest. Try the BBQ chicken pizza yummo

We spent NYE there, staying at the cabins you can find from Gail and Steve next door(air bnb) and we enjoyed our dinner very much. They were very busy and were very kind to accommodate all our requests. They also allowed byob with a corkage fee. The boneless wings were great, as was the lamb. They even let my son and I, at our own risk have a killer NYE snow ball fight at our own risk of course. We didn’t order pizza but they looked hot and delicious.

Went here for the first time yesterday. We ordered the wings and they were excellent. They had a very different breading on them and I’d go back just for those. We also ordered a bowl of the minestrone soup, which was also very good and tasted homemade. I got the tri tip sandwich — without the onions — it was excellent. TVs for the games and a good selection of beers. The prices were very reasonable. The only issue we had was with the service. It took a long time. There were at least 3 waitresses we saw and the place wasn’t that busy. But they are slow to take orders and slow to bring drinks — the food didn’t take that long after ordering considering it all tasted very fresh. Before we were served I took my 5-year-old out to the car to change out of her snow pants. When we came back in we were stopped at the door by a waitress who seemed very happy to tell us they were closed until 4:30, when they reopen for dinner(it was around 3). I told her we already had a table and she shrugged and walked away. I asked our waitress — a very friendly blonde girl — and she said they close between lunch and dinner to get the tables ready for dinner and give the wait staff a break. She didn’t say what time they close and its not on the door either. We watched them turn away a party of at least 12, and several smaller groups. They lost a lot of business. We’ll definitely go back, just not between 2:30 or so and 4:30. But the food was very good.

Three in our party ordered the $ 18 Sauté ‘Marsala’ which the menu describes as ‘Medallions of veal’. When our order came, they brought them chicken instead of veal. When we inquired about this the waitress simply said ‘oh I thought you wanted it with chicken instead of veal’. We’re 100% certain we did not ask for that and suspect they simply may have been low on veal or thought they could get away with serving us a cheaper dish. Either way, our waitress just shrugged and didn’t attempt to fix it in any way and we ended up paying full price for an inferior dish. We’ve been coming here for years and since there are few options for those staying in the area, I’m sure we’ll come back again. But next time, we’ll make sure to let our waitress spell out the ingredients of our order.

This restaurant does not know how to handle volume. On a Saturday holiday weekend they took reservations, meanwhile the line was out the door, most of the tables were left unoccupied. The restaurant did not allow us to wait at the bar or order there since we have children and then didn’t let us sit to eat at the take out counte. We ended up ordering pizza to go, which tasted slightly better than cardboard. There are limited options for food in this area, maybe that’s how this place stays in business.

We planned on picking up a pizza for take-out, yet decided to stay and eat at the bar. Everything was good, wings, salad, pizza and friendly staff. Multiple TVs were on with sports, two thumbs up! The only thing that would make it over the top awesome is free wifi.

This may be the best place to eat real close to the ski slopes on the 108 side of the Sierras. They do more than pizza like Italian pasta, sandwiches, delicious salads, rice dishes, Cuts of meat, soups, etc. I like the atmosphere, classy but middle to upper middle class. Their pizza is made from a wood fired stove, your taste buds will notice that detail. Their alcohol selection is pretty satisfying as well. You will probably leave this place with near 20 spent or more if you go with a side or nice drink in addition. Lunch has the better deals. Enjoy, I know I did. It’s more like a 4.5 star rating but that’s very good in my extremely self promoting humble opinion ;)

Came here last week for my first time, While staying in Mi Wuk Village and left very satisfied! Friendly service, great food, great atmosphere! My family ordered the classic combo and the garlic chicken, and both were really good. The garlic chicken is extremely garlicky(which I like) with full cloves of garlic, so buyer beware. Food did take a while to receive(about 30 minutes) but in their defense they were busy. If you are going up to pinecrest this place Is a «must try». I will be coming here every time I’m in town from now on!

The outside kind of seems meh looking but the rear entrance looks really nice. I didn’t see the inside as we just got take out and the hubs went in to pick it up but he did say it looked really nice inside too. Not what I would expect up in the mountains. We ordered a chicken and garlic pizza which tasted pretty good. Huge whole pieces of roasted garlic which I did pick off because a whole one was just too much for me lol but tasted good otherwise. We ordered chicken bites with chips for my son. I think the chips were homemade maybe? Pretty bland tasting and chicken was okay. We would try the place again though.

What’s good: Verdi pizza, delicious! One of the best veggie pizza’s I’ve ever had. I also had a lemon liquor drink for $ 5 and it was about the size of a shot, but really good! We sat on the patio and enjoyed the peaceful views. The guys were not impressed with the Classic Combo. Service is polite, but slow. We did not get bread(even after asking) until about 2 minutes before our pizza came out. Our salad was delayed and actually never arrived. We luckily had time, but there was a huge line out front by the time we left, so I’m sure the delay was due to being busy and understaffed. If you are not in a hurry, Mia’s pizza is worth the wait.
