I went yesterday in search of farm raised eggs. I found their coolers and saw a sign that said«Farm Raised Eggs» and had the dz price tag. The owner was horribly rude! Her customer service leaves a LOT to be desired. She kept telling me she had them in the cooler and I kept looking where she was telling me, not seeing them, and trying to explain that, but she wasn’t listening to me… she kept repeating her initial instructions over and over again, like I was incapable of understanding her the first three times she told me where to look. She finally rolled her eyes, walked over, realized she was telling me the wrong place and finally pointed to one carton of bleached white eggs, which I had already seen and didn’t want. She proceeded to look at me and say«Well I guess we don’t have any then» and walked back behind the counter. My husband and I started to walk away shocked over this woman’s rudeness, but I turned back around and asked if she owned the stand in which she said she did. I asked for a card and she said she didn’t have any but I looked down and saw a stack of cards sitting there. I grabbed one, looked at her and stated«All I needed was a little bit of assistance and your rudeness was unnecessary». She looked at me and said«Yeah yeah yeah» grinning from ear to ear, as if this somehow pleased her. I come to the farmer’s market regularly and have been for over 20 years but I will NEVER buy from this vendor again, and make sure I tell everyone I know how absolutely rude this person is. I am a small business owner, and if I ever acted like this, I would fire myself!

I was at the Farmer’s Market Sunday 8⁄23 around 10:30. My mother purchased 2 containers of candy from the Berrie Patch — while standing there with my 2-year-old grandson, my apples were falling out of the apple bag. While my mother was checking out, I asked the rude clerk working there if I could grab an extra bag for my apples(she had already been rude to my mother because my mother grabbed the green spearmint slices and meant to get the oranges ones and wanted to trade them and she was sarcastic about that also). She told me «no, they are expensive». I said«you’re kidding, right?» because I thought she was. She reiterated that they were expensive and I could not have an extra. I then told her she had been rude through the whole encounter and was walking away as she was yelling at me that I was rude… my 75-year-old mother could not believe it nor could I. I have been going to the farmer’s market my whole life and always purchase candy, etc. from that booth but never again. I have owned by own business for 30 years and would never have such a rude person working for me.

Their coconut macaroons are chewy, flavorful discs of love. The taste reminds me of the ones I used to get down the shore in NJ from James’ Candy Company, but the price is much more affordable. Only spent $ 2.49 for an ½ lb. container. I’ll be back!
