Awesome little bakery in Downtown! Cupcakes. YUM… Moist cake with great icing… Great taste!

Visiting from out of town and pretty impressed with the décor of this place. I love supporting local eateries… their cupcakes were good. I’m partial to lemon so that was my favorite. Their peanut butter cookies were amazing! Just the right texture with chewy in the middle and not too hard on the outer surface. Please support the local community every time you travel :)

I came here today on the recommendation of a few friends. This store is located on the very cute two-​block-​long downtown of Kernersville. The first thing that hits you when you walk into this store is how it fantastically smells of baked goods and sugar.
They have a few seats so that you can grab a cupcake or other sweet and chow-​down in house. I ordered Birthday Cake and Strawberry cupcakes. The cakes were moist. The strawberry cupcake has a very yummy seemingly authentic strawberry flavor. The birthday cake cupcake is sweet and delicious, but mostly like any standard vanilla cupcake with white (dyed blue) frosting. The frosting is very sweet, but if you are in the mood for sweet it is good. If you like your frosting more creamy and not as sugary, it is not for you.
My husband is dinging the score down because of the high price for the cupcakes (almost $ 3), but in fairness to Cake and All Things Yummy, they are very BIG cupcakes.
The person who came to help us was very chipper and sweet. So a big thumbs up to her!
If I am craving a sweet craving and I am in Kernersville, I definitely will stop by here again.

Cute shop with a gorgeous display window tempting you to enter. I’m not a huge fan of sweets, but if you’re looking for a treat for dessert or for company/​family, this place will not disappoint you. The prices are a little expensive, but everything is so beautiful.

I walked into the shop with high hopes of ordering a yummy cake for my daughter’s high school graduation. Not knowing cake etiquette, ording times, etc., I asked for one that was apparently too late for their timeframe. I was looked at as if I just stepped off a spaceship, like an alien. Or, perhaps it’s because I am Latina that she was aloof and not very friendly.
So, «ok,» I thought that maybe I can find something cute to accentuate her party and I’ll bake another cake. She followed me around the displays as if she knew I would take something. She even arranged an item I put back and there was nothing wrong with how I placed it. Since I have moved to the South from California, I hadn’t felt «conspicuous» until then. I have NEVER been treated this way here in North Carolina.
That woman talked to me in a tone of voice as if I was completely mad to ask about a cake for graduation and then apparently didn’t want my money for anything else. I have NEVER forgotten this ugly incident. Because of how poorly she treated me, whenever I get a chance, I tell everyone I know. I can take my business elsewhere.
It’s good for Kernersville, according to their other reviews, that they do get some good business. They just lost mine forever. My daughter is completing her first semester as a Sophomore at UNCC, and I have tried to forget the treatment, but everytime I drive by and see their beautiful displays and artsy décor, I think of what lies inside. Ugliness under perfect frosting.

My love for this shop began after I had to freeze an ordered birthday cake for 3 weeks before we could eat it and it was still AMAZING even after being frozen for so long.
When I had to choose where to get the cakes for an event I was hosting, there was no question where to get them. I came to the shop for my impromptu consultation with color swatches and inspiration pictures in hand. I met with one of the designers, Sabrina, and she really took the time to go through and understand what I wanted. When the time came to pick up the cakes, I was so pleased at how great they looked. The colors matched perfectly and the designs were exactly what I pictured. I ordered 1 carrot cake, 1 red velvet, and 1 marble. They were all delicious, but everyone especially raved about the carrot cake (I’m still getting emails about it!) For the 3 cakes (9″ one layer, 7″ two layer, 6″ three layer) I paid about $ 100.
I can’t say enough good things about this place. They’re so talented and the customer service is really great as well. If nothing else, stop by and treat yourself to a cupcake or cookie… you won’t regret it :)

Stopped in on Saturday on the way to a late lunch. They are only open till 2 on Saturday so we had to hit them first before they closed.
LOCATION: very close to the N Main/​Mountain intersection in downtown Kernersville. Parking is available at a couple of parking areas nearby.
FOOD: All I can personally comment on is the cupcakes; and more precisely the Key Lime and the Red Velvet ones. They both were very good with the Key Lime being excellent. I’m not sure how the maintained the sharp, citrusy bite of the lime but they did. They were both very big and gorgeously decorated — someone spent some time on these. I ended up cutting mine in half and eating it during two sessions. There must have been over 20 choices to pick from. In terms of selections, the truffle options were even more amazing. I didn’t try any (unfortunately) but there were tons and they looked great and were elegantly decorated as well. In my quick browse, I did also see a lot of other items pre-​boxed for sale. 5 Stars for the cupcakes.
SERVICE: As soon as we walked in, we got a greeting and an inviting smile. Both staff members that helped us were very friendly and professional. 4 Stars for service.
VALUE: Our cupcakes, with tax came to 5 bucks and change. I don’t often buy cupcakes but $ 2.50 seemed each more than fair to me given their quality, size and looks. They also retail a few gift-​type items and we picked up a decorated wine stopper for an upcoming birthday and that was about 30 bucks so… shrug. 4 Stars for cupcakes, at least.
ATMOSPHERE: It is open with a lot of floor space to move around. It was very neat and clean and well organized. Lots of windows let in a good amount of light and there are few small tables to sit and eat there if you like. Another 4 Stars for atmosphere.
Overall, I’m very glad we decided to check out this place BEFORE lunch or else we would have missed out. If in K-​Vegas, I’d definitely recommend a stop for some sugary refreshment =)

Cupcakes were everything people have said– yummy and HUGE! I am looking forward to many a return visit– helpful and patient counter service– there were so many goodies to look at. It is an adorable shop as well.
