Time: 2:14pm/92°F sunny Purpose: Pull off from freeway to fuel up. A overpriced item in gas station had me walking 100ft over to Standlock. Set-up: Standlock is not just a convenience shop. It’s also a stop for Greyhound passengers to take breaks and buying tickets. Basic shop for most grab n’ go items. This place has a indoor ATM and two freezers selling bag ice. Rest of the place standard convenience shop goods. Kinda stuffy with incense smell and a low ceiling. Outside has 5 non adjusted hard plastic seat with no overhead awning for passengers. You can become overheated with warm weather. They don’t allow people to wait for bus inside of shop. My tip is to go outside stand to the right as sun can’t hit that area no matter what. Staff: One older Indian lady kind of conceited. I walk in ask her unsweetened tea drinks? She pointed right there. I grab a bottle of Pure Tea proceed to make payment. Clerk scan the bottle told me $ 1.89, I said the price is wrong. She said it was right. I said wrong, look at the fridge that whole row is listed $ 1.59. When it was confirm wrong, she didn’t apologize. Told me another clerk didn’t take out price for last item sold before tea. To me not my problem. I took out two dollars ready to pay. This time she said $ 1.64 w/CRV redemption. The more I talk the higher the price. To prove a point, I put bottle back went back to service station. There, I paid $ 1.89 more than Standlock. Proving a point costed me a measly $.30, but I needed to. Most places would given me the price listed, but here every penny is a lifeline for them. Cleanliness: Grade C, place is disorganized, but items were not dusty. Good indication of fast turn over for inventory. Trail mix had near expiring dates. Narrow isle was hard to get by other shoppers. Had to turn and walk sideways saying«excuse me» to person. Eats/Drinks: Wanted a bottle of tea, but a price mishap had me leaving empty handed. Main Features: Greyhound bus tickets sold here. Check listing for operation and departure time. Products/Services: Snack chip, candy, cookie, process baked goods, beef jerkey, umbrella, foam disposable cooler, fire logs, lighter, cap, magazine, e-cigarette/vap, lotto, beer/wine/liquor, ice cream cup by Carnation etc. Punch Lines: Located off I-80 east bound, sells bus ticket, sells ice, basic traveling needs, full line hard liquor, seats for bus on a(FCFS) basis, all sales are final, not 24⁄7 shop, snooty service, off putting, pretentious, go elsewhere. Tradeoffs: Standlock sells more stuff than service station, but no gas. Now if you need the item you’ve no choice, but to get it. Final Thoughts: I could’ve easily handed the funds over for the tea. I just can’t let someone tell me that I’m wrong when all support shows I’m right. I know we all heard of(the customer is always right). However, this is one of those moments were I’ve to stand up to my rights. Hopefully, this will change their way of pricing or double checking item before walking away after replenishing fridge. I’ll go back only if I have no choice or no stations for the next 20 miles. One star is no choice system requires a star to post reviews, second star is for selling bus ticket so people don’t have to go out of town.

This liquor store/quik market/greyhound station is run by a couple that could be rightly classified as ogres(«cruel or terrifying person»). My brief encounter with them consisted of them yelling at most patrons that came into the store, irritation that that they had to issue a greyhound bus ticket, making two young people stand outside the store to wait in the snow shower for a bus that was over a hour late, asking me to park my car in the path of departing bus and then threatening to tow my car. Anything that required any effort by the owner such as stepping outside to provide directions was unacceptable. There are actually stores run by courteous owners such as the lovely people at the subway shop next store or the quik market at chevron station; so I am mystified why anyone would cross their threshold.
