Absolutely the worst experience I’ve EVER had. This subway opens at 0700 and we arrived at 0719 on our way to the mountains. We stood outside as the door was locked and the girl was getting ready inside(clearly running late) so we waited a couple of minutes before trying to get her attention so she could at least let us in so we could wait inside. Nothing. No acknowledgement. I called her, and she answered the phone! Bc answering the phone is more pressing than the 3 customers standing at your door. And asked her if they opened at 7. She said yes but she was running a little late today. So I asked if she could at least open the door so we could wait inside. She didn’t even say yes, just hung up and came over to open the door. No acknowledgement no nothing. We sat in the restaurant for about 10 more minutes(not sure why) before leaving. Unbelievably horrible non existent customer service. If I could give it zero stars I would.

On our way to the snow and this was the ideal pit stop for restrooms and a quick bite. This location is busy! The line moved really quickly though and the sandwich artists were very friendly. The bathrooms were gross but that’s to be expected for a frequently used rest stop. I’d stop here again.

The girl working at this location was very nice. It’s an «on the way home» location along 80 and I’m sure they get a bunch of tired, grumpy, been in the car for hours travelers. The food was good and the service was excellent.

Average Subway. The employees were nice enough, food was barely tolerable as are most Subway sandwiches. What I hated, was whenever I tried to order soup they were out! It happened a few times in a row. When I mentioned to the girl there that I was disappointed they were always out of soup, she told me the owner wouldn’t let her make any! She said she told him that people ask for it all the time, but he just told her no. I guess he decided because it was summer, nobody would order soup? It just rubbed me the wrong way so I completely stopped going. No big deal, not really a fan anyway. The sandwiches in the Deli at Sierra Market are the same price as a $ 5 footlong but actually taste good. Probably the best sub I ever had!!!

The place is small. Very easy to get on/off highway 80. I ordered couple of platters ahead of time. Just came in and pick it up. Staffs are very friendly.

It’s alright… ended up coming here to use the restroom and refuel while stuck at this exit for 3−4hrs on the way to Tahoe/Reno. They were hella busy that day because everyone and their moms were stuck here, it took me a good half an hour to use the restroom because of the line. And another good 45−60min to get sandwiches since the line just snaked inside the building. Granted it was super busy, the service was pretty decent and they tried their best to get everyone’s orders finished so they could keep the line moving. They were nice enough to let me add an order when I got to the register, since my friend texted me to add another sandwich to our order. The sandwiches themselves were regular Subway sandwiches, I mean what more is there left to be said about that? Cheap, fast food. Things to note: 1. If you get stuck at this rest stop, don’t wait if you want to use this restroom because the line will be cray. 2. They also have outlets by the side door if you end up needing to charge your smartphone if you’ve been at this stop for way too long.

This is our ideal Tahoe daytrip lunch stop. It is open early enough that you can get there, get food, and still get to the Donner Summit resorts before the lifts start running. The service has always been friendly, and the sandwiches are what you’d expect from a Subway.

Can’t really complain. When we started going to Tahoe more frequently, we always found a Subway on the way to the resorts for our lunch as resort food seem to always be expensive. $ 5 footlongs, you can’t really beat that price, but of course it isn’t quality. I’ve started making my own sandwiches, but if we ever need a place to stop to buy lunch on the way to Alpine, then this is the place.

Blah… just another Subway. If not for it’s ‘on-the-way-to-Tahoe” location right off the exit(135) I doubt it would exist. The employees are obviously dedicated to the paycheck not the customers,(weird, where does the paycheck come from?) the place is just barely clean & unless you really need that meatball sub… go down the road to Dine & Dash.

I have stopped at this Subway twice in the past three months while visiting Colfax. Both times service was excellent and the sandwiches prepared just as efficiently and quickly as any of the many Subways I have patronized over the years. Very convenient location while traveling on I-80 to/or from Donner or Lake Tahoe. As you exit eastbound I-80 at the Colfax exit you are facing Subway, just can’t miss it, plus quick entrance back to the freeway to continue your journey. Plenty of parking, too. Student employees, all smiles, and great attitudes. I’ll definitely be stopping in again when traveling along I-80.

Worst Subway EVER! The restaurant was dirty and unkempt. The bathrooms were out-of-service bathrooms. We ordered two of the standard soups… and ended up with 1 ½ cups of the bottom-of-the-barrel soup. When we complained that we were paying for 2 soups and had only received 1 ½, they did not offer a refund. The service was so poor and the restaurant so dirty that we could not eat the food! The kids apples were rotten, the restaurant staff argued and the patron after me slipped on something that was spilled in the entry-way! All in all… the worst Subway I’ve ever visited.

5 star service. Friendly and diligent young workers. They were eager to help and informative. Make sure to check out the nice outdoor patio seating next to small grassy area. Great way to enjoy a sandwich on a sunny day. And FYI, there’s no spinach at this location.

The high school girls that work here are not all too bright. Making a sandwich requires little to no education, yet somehow they messed up. First off, when I’m ordering a veggie delite sandwich(basically a salad in a bun) give me more then a couple shreds of iceberg lettuce and 2 thin strips of bell pepper. I watched as she gave me 4 olive halves and TONS of mustard when I said lite mustard. Secondly, watching her try to put avocado on as sandwich was nerve wracking. She took a sharp paring knife and started hacking away at the soft avocado in her hand. She ended up throwing away 2 avocado halves that still had plenty of avocado left in them and my boyfriend ended up with avocado skin in his sandwich. The worst subway ever.

Not the worst subway ever. Sometimes they charge you tax, sometimes not. They also overcharged on a $ 5 footlong. It’s a small town after all.
