I had the cheese enchilada plate for my first visit to Fuzzy’s. This is how I judge Mexican food. It is so simple, how can you mess it up? The enchilada was slathered in artificial nacho cheese with something like ranch inside the tortilla. No enchilada sauce. The refried beans were not bad, but nothing more than what I make from a can at home. The cilantro rice was eh. Don’t bother coming here if you are looking for Mexican food. It is bland chain quality with no soul. Bonus points for having Ms. Pac-Man game in the restaurant though.

This great new taco spot just opened up here in Bryan. Pros: + Vegetarian tacos are amazing! + Interesting take on a traditional taco + Much better than some of the other Taco joints here Cons: — Small parking lot — Tacos can get a little soggy — if you get corn tortillas, they only use one per taco. Normally, not an issue. However, they’re tacos are pretty heavily loaded and they may tend to fall apart. — Shredded chicken tacos are a little bland. I wish it had more flavor to it

Bright, fresh flavors of a traditional food served in a new way. Fuzzy’s is one of my favorite places, especially for breakfast tacos. Everything is cooked fresh, including the shrimp. And they always have a good selection of local beers, which goes great with thier menu.

More commercial than quality. Identity is ¼ sports pub that serves commercial Mexican food and a just a less than Jake taco shop

Went there for lunch today. Had the chips and salsa to start with and it was great! Salsa had great flavor and was not spicy. Portion was enough for 2 people to easily share. Had the fried fish taco and steak taco as the entrée. Fish taco was amazing! Great taste and flavor. Steak taco was great also! Both tacos were served on corn tortillas. Portion size is good for lunch, but I would probably add a 3rd taco for dinner. Very satisfied and will definitely return.

The only really good thing I can say is that the staff was very friendly. I had beef fajita tacos and the meat was VERY chewy. Flavor really wasn’t there for me either. I was really excited to go here for my first time but left unimpressed with the food.

Great environment and great staff. The long haired manager fella took care of me when the guy accidentally put in my order wrong. Super professional and the food is great!

Disgusting. Tortillas were cheap and far from homemade… the chicken was tasteless and the beef was chewy to the point where it was practically inedible. The Mexican cheese used definitely wasn’t fresh either. I guess you get what you pay for. Male cashier was short with us and didn’t even greet us. Also the booth we sat at had a picture of a snake eating a rabbit. Appetite lost. Left this place undatisfied and grossed out. Not coming back.

I was kind of annoyed with this place. It was my first time ever in this place we were traveling on the road and I just wanted something light so I ordered a salad, the girl says you want a lil olé salad or a big olé salad? So I’m thinking a big one its only salad. When this thing came out it was in a BIG silver mixing bowl I didn’t know that this is how it came so now I’m sitting here eating a big Olé Salad in a Big Olé bowl I was embarrassed and just wanted to eat some of it and just leave. My friends were looking at me like well you did ask for a Big Olé Salad LOL. It was good though but the chicken in it had no flavor my friends had something different I’ll try different stuff next time I go. Oh the place

Fuzzy’s rules. They have breakfast all day, which is just about the only time you should be serving breakfast. If you like this one filling, you can get it in basically any shape — soft or crispy taco, burrito, salad, torta, whatever man! They have the best grilled veggies(shredded carrots, zuchs, and other friends), and mixed with that crumbly, salty white cheese and the garlic sauce, it’s actually the taco I crave most in town. It’s too bad it’s so far to the south, people in Bryan can’t easily get to it for an fast takeout option. What I’m saying is give us some yuppie tacos in Bryan. The chips have a tasty sprinkle on them, sort of like Julio’s, but they’re a lot more stingy with it. Good guac, good salsa, and their hot sauce in the bottles is really really good — sweet, not too hot, and zingy. I used to get tacos, but now I skip the tortilla and go straight for the grilled veggie salad. Honestly, it’s hard to find a place that just gives you a really good bowl of really good veggies and stuff, but this with the salsa as dressing(ugh, gotta be healthy) is awesome. And sometimes vegetarians just don’t want bread and cheese!

If you want juicy tacos or burritos, this is the place. Finally decided to try it out and I’m bummed I didn’t come sooner. Their garlic sauce is amazing. Tacos are much cheaper than other local spots like Fuego and Torchys. Bf had the shredded beef burrito and it was delicious and full of flavor.

Fuzzy’s is a chain, but a very classy chain. This ain’t about Mexican food, or even about Tex Mex. Fuzzy’s is Fuzzy’s with recipes that are just its own. The absolute stand-out star of the show isn’t even their tacos — although their tacos are perfectly fine. The destination dish here is listed in the appetizer section — but it ain’t no appetizer. It is a meal unto itself. It is simply referred to as «Pork and Beans». This ain’t no Campbells Pork and Beans out of a can. Americans have gotten used to baked beans with a little bit of pork to give it flavor calling itself«Pork and Beans». Pork and beans to be good has to have pork. Lots of pork. Equal parts of pork and beans or maybe 40 – 60 pork to beans. No less meat than that. And it has to be good pork to boot. Fuzzy’s gets that. They make a fine pulled pork and marinate it with their own homemade beans. This will stand up to any cassoulet you get in France that costs less than $ 40. (Ok — you pay more and the cook adds brandy or wine or unusual garnishes to the dish. This can count as high dining. You pay less — You are better off going with Fuzzy;s version) Better yet, they melt a bunch of cheese on top and serve it tortilla chips on top. Trust me — this works.(And the French save melting cheese on top for the onion soup. That combo is good, but the pork and beans combo with cheese is just as good.) Having their fine house hot sauce to add variety to the dish is not torture either. Better still — the dish only costs slightly more than three bucks. Sure you only get a bowl the size of a coffee cup. Trust me, when you are done you will be full. I am a reviewer who needs vast amounts of food to be happy. I was plenty happy after my coffee cup. What about the rest of the menu? Well — as I said above — leave your Mexican food expectations at the door. Fuzzy’s cooks by Fuzzy’s rules. They do a breakfast taco with shrimp, egg and cheese. You get the burrito version, and you feel like you are eating a dozen eggs with good shrimp to boot. This is a plus. Overall, a fine establishment. Footnote: How will these guys do when arch-rival Torchy’s Tacos moves in to College Station? Torchy’s does elaborate combos with unusual tastes. Fuzzy’s goes for simpler concepts. I don’t think the two menus will intersect very much at all. So you can wonderful tacos two ways under two very different house sensibilities — with none of them being traditional mexican or tex-mex. And if you want the Classics — BCS has a ton of fine traditional Mexican establishments. So College Station may lack a lot of things — but it does not lack good tacos.

I work very close to Fuzzy’s and we often place orders for pick up. There food is good, however the service sucks. They continuously mess up on orders. They even read the order back to you 100% correctly but when you get the food something is always wrong. I’m not one to complain or send my food back so I always just let it slide. Recently a coworker finally had enough, after picking up her food and returning to work to find the order incorrect she called the manager. He was very impolite and handled the situation terribly. A few weeks go by and we decided to give Fuzzy’s another try. Call in our order, it’s read back correctly, pick it up and it’s wrong. I was very disappointed by this but knew there was no reason to call and tell the manager since my coworker already resorted to that and got nowhere. So here ya go Unilocal

I was starving and decided to walk into fuzzys, my first visit and I love tacos! Quick, cheap and healthy if you choose wisely. I went with the fish and shrimp taco no feta on crispy corn tortilla. The fish was ok, not great just ok. The grilled shrimp one I loved! It was very economical and GF meal. They put fresh ingredients on your tacos which Is great. The chips have chili powder all over them which I like but most don’t. My kids thought it was to spicy. The salsa is good but could be better. Not do roasted and more fresh tomato. The mgr/owner was very helpful and seemed nice. I’m a fan of fuzzys:)

Food is okay, but not great. Not really«Mexican» food, but a taco joint none the less. Not much seasoning or spices besides the seasoning salt they throw on chips. Queso is pretty bland as well. Place is pretty loud, even when it’s empty because the cooks are YELLING order numbers really loud. It’s off putting. It’s a bus your own table place. I’ve been there several times, but each time I leave I find myself wondering why I went again.

Fuzzy’s isn’t «authentic» Mexican food and doesn’t really claim to be. The food is unique, very decent, and I really like it a lot. It reminds me of a lot of places you find in California, where there is no such thing as «Authentic» because it’s all made-up. That’s a good thing, by the way. Everything on the menu is their own take on it and just about everything is good. Vegetables are Fresh. Meats are of good quality. Vegetarian options are available. Portions are adequate but not overly generous. The breakfast here is highly underrated and, during the summer, is one of the few options for good breakfast other than IHOP or Denny’s. The Migas are very good as are the breakfast tacos. They make a good guacamole from scratch and their salsa is good. Pricing is fair. The place is very clean and the staff are friendly and fun. They do charge for chips and salsa, but you get premium chips and salsa for the money, so I don’t mind at all. The décor is fun and college-like, somewhere between a Chili’s, a Mexican taco stand, and a sports bar. It works for me. They serve beer and have iced tea and a soda fountain. If you buy a large, you get a take-home plastic cup, always a nice touch. The food is ready quickly and I’ve never left here unhappy. This place tries to be unique and succeeds in that department. I go to College Station regularly to visit my brother who goes to school there. I always make a trip to Fuzzy’s an item on the agenda when I’m there.

Plus Half a star. The tacos are okay. The beef was well seasoned and the fresh queso fresco on top was a nice touch. The pork was also seasoned well. A little but better than the beef. Not as good as other places I have been too but okay for a quick snack. Lime flavored rice was very minimal lime flavor. Also came out cold. Beans were a pinto bean with added bacon that didn’t add much in terms of flavor with some tomatoes and onions in the sauce of the beans. They were actually pretty tasty. I will come back to try on thee menu items.
