Kyle Field

Beautiful stadium!!! Came here for a high school playoff game so suffice it to say that a good portion of the stadium was empty but it was still incredible! I can’t even imagine what it would be like being there for a college game! Very, very cool!

The remodel on this stadium is incredible. This is a beautiful stadium in a fantastic town. We were visiting from South Carolina and the «Aggies» in College Station couldn’t have been more nice and hospitable. There is a shuttle that drives around and picks up and drops off fans from the parking garages surrounding the stadium. The music and pyrotechnics during the game were great and there are 3 huge screens that are a must see! The reason for the 3 stars is because the concession stands couldn’t get their act together. Chick Fil A was on a wait for sandwiches for 15+ minutes for 50% of the game. This was a noon game during poor weather and the stadium wasn’t filled to capacity, I would hate to see how the system falls down during a packed game.

I’ve been a season ticket holder for many years and sit in the North End Zone. Now that the new stadium redevelopment is complete, the sound is terrible! We’ve always been able to hear in the past; however this year we’ve not been able to understand a word! We can’t even understand when it’s time for the prayer at the beginning of the game. We can’t understand special segments to recognize alumni, and the worst is not knowing what the referees are saying. I’ve talked to current students who have been to both games and they say the sound is fine where they are, so can’t somebody get the sound fixed in the end zone? With all the millions of dollars spent on this stadium, surely this should be a priority! We spend a lot of money for season tickets and want to enjoy the entire experience.

The greatest place on the planet to watch football. The greatest fans on the planet. The thing about Fightin Texas Aggie football is you can bring your entire family and be surrounded by pleasant nice people and not have to have your kids wear earmuffs and blinders like NFL football. The sight of a few former students flying over at high speed in jets will leave you with chills. You have to come take it in.
Class of 92– biased a bit.

While it is true that everything is big in Texas, it is also true that everything is much bigger in College Station. Particularly when it comes to Kyle Field. No doubt the largest stadium in Texas and fourth overall in the United States with a capacity of 102,500, Kyle Field is home to one of the most loyal (and rabid) fans in all of college football: the Texas A&M Aggies. It is also home to the true «12^th man.» For those of you that do not know the story, I strongly recommend reading about 12^th man lore. Sorry Seattle Seahawks, the 12^th man started here at Kyle Field.
This ballpark is MASSIVE in every sense of the world. It is truly something to behold. While Kyle Field is still undergoing construction that should be completed at some point in August 2015, a college football fan (and certainly an Aggie) would appreciate the esprit de corps demonstrated, even when it isn’t football season. This alone is what makes Aggieland and Kyle Field special. And when the noise and the laughter fade into silence after gameday, you can still hear the words of «Good-​Bye to Texas University, So long to the Orange and the White.»
Awesome stadium. Pretty cool school with exceptional traditions, and no doubt a hard place to play in if you are an opponent. Come see the reason why folks say Gig ‘Em Aggies, win or lose (if you can get tickets).

Kyle Field is located near Cartman Field, Kenny Field, and Stan Darsh Field. The Aggies play here which reminds me of Liverpool’s former defender Daniel Agger, but shouldn’t.
I’m not a big fan of college sports, but this stadium in College Station, Texas, totally dominates the region and is utterly enormous. It’s so big that it’s almost as big as my thingy.
First-​Hand Experience: Info on my personal visit to this stadium — after both of my 2 concerts (so far) in College Station, I came to visit this magnificent enormity of a stadium. It’s honestly one of the biggest I’ve ever seen. Well over 100,000 people and just a beautiful part of Texas culture. If you ever get a chance to see a game here make sure you do.
It’s the largest and loudest stadium in Texas, and I’ve seen it once full and once empty, and there is no other stadium in the South that I would rather be in, except maybe Bryant-​Denny.
I did get a few racists comments in the bathroom, which is very unusual for me in the USA. But I think it was a one off and certainly not the fault of the stadium. I guess I look like a Muslim to some of the fans here. Whatever.
I’ve been to every cool stadium in the UK & North America, due to my obsession with travel & sport. I’ve toured America as a musician for 7 or 8 years. In that time, I’ve seen sports games at, or visited when empty (and usually both), at almost every major stadium in US and Canada. I have pictures of most which I will upload at some point. Also, on future travels, I plan to take new pix, and add more stadia! Watch this space!

It can hold over 102,000 kids, and often does, and for this reason, plus the fact that it looks absolutely beastly and like a grand, imposing palace of a stadium on the inside, and the fact that it’s in perhaps my favourite state (long story), I’ll give this stadium a glowing 5 stars.

I had my first experience at Kyle field to see a Texas size college football game between A & M and Olé Miss.
While the game did not turn out the way i had hoped for, i was amazed at Kyle field, the fans and the property, options and selection.
over 109,000 fans were there yet very little waiting at concessions or bathrooms.
The A & M fans are second to none. Even down 21 – 0, they were full speed and showed why they are nick named «The 12^th man»
Great venue, great fans.

About last night.
The Phase 1 completed home game vs. Lamar turned out to be an interesting social experiment. What happens when you group together with 104,727 other people (not including the teams, staffs, security, medics, media and associated entourages) into the same building and right when the teams enter and after the fireworks, lightning starts to strike everywhere we look? Plans change.
Under a swiftly blackening /​threatening sky churning with rapidly changing gusts of wind flying flags on one side of the stadium in the opposite direction of the other, even the bats and birds decided to get the hell out of there. If I had had wings I would have exited via sky as well.
Apparently about 20% of people are concerned enough about being struck by lightning to seek shelter. Through analysis of my slideshow of photos that’s about how much of the crowd choose to take cover initially. Just imagine an airport with about 12 hours of flight delays and that’s what it looked like. Just no carpet. People sitting, laying, sleeping.
So with 2 hours and 7 minutes of nothing to do, what did we all do? We ATE baby! Kyle Field has 54 new restaurants & eateries in it from the sky to the ground. We made the best of it despite the change of plans and it turned into a really fun huge food festival.
A lot of people have been complaining about ticket prices this year, and of course the delay was very annoying yet due to the accidental culinary tour of all the new food, I think tickets to the game were worth it just for that.
So what about the over 200 lightning strikes. When life hands you lemons?

One of the greatest places on earth, certainly the greatest sports venue. Currently under construction to make it even better. You can’t call yourself of football fan until you’ve been to a game at Kyle Field!

If you haven’t been to Kyle Field to experience the 12^th man — you have not been part of the best college atmosphere in the country! The 12^th man relentlessly supports the football team through the game — whether we are playing Florida International or Alabama.
Looking forward to the increased capacity and giant TV screen installation for the 2014 season.

Best Football Stadium in the country! Gig’em. Can’t wait till they are finished with remodeling in the biggest and baddest in Texas

Went to watch the Ag’s play against Vanderbilt. We got tickets at the very top of the stadium, it was a nice day out, so it wasn’t too bad.
Lot’s of tradition in the stadium, all the students stay standing for the entire duration of the game, and they have chants for everything. Very fun experience. Would love to go again soon.

The atmosphere and campus were very cool. As a visitor, felt very welcome.
Enjoyed many of the traditions. (Although I still think Cheerleaders would be a good idea)
The stadium itself is a bit rough. I have high hopes for the renovations.

Best stadium atmosphere for football hands down.
With a renovation coming in the near future, it will only get better.
Get your season tickets while you still can! The Aggies are on a roll.

Home of the 12^th Man!

Kyle Field on game day is one of the most magical places in the world, and that’s all you need to know.
Welcome to SEC Country, indeed.

Best place and atmosphere for college football games PERIOD. Aggie football may have been up and down over the years, but it never gets old. Through good and bad times, this stadium provides a good time to be had. The crowds are always in the game and people are friendly. I am not an Aggie, but my father is as well as my grandfather and his daddy. Keep up the fight ol’ army!

It’s hard not to give Kyle five stars after 20+ years of going to games there, but let’s face it, the bathrooms and food stands could use upgrading. Plus when it was built there weren’t enough aisles put in, so there are no vendors during games (maybe a good thing, not sure) and there are always people walking in front of or behind you for something.
But on the other hand, you can’t beat the atmosphere of Kyle Field during a game (even t-​sips know this to be true). You won’t find more enthusiastic fans, a better band, or more polite fans (except possibly during tu and tech games). Seriously, if you wear gear from the other team, you will be well treated, and probably get free beer offers after the game, win or lose. And you will sway when we sing, and you’ll do it often.
Check it out for a texas or OU game if you can (and LSU starting next year, I guess) and you will never be in a place that loud again.

The place would be better without all the Aggies!
Seriously, the atmosphere during games is certainly impressive. It’s loud and crowded, at least when my Longhorns come to town.
I’ve been to two games at Kyle. We won one and lost one. After the first one, we went on to win a National Championship, so that wasn’t so bad.
The only reason I’m not rating it higher, is because the facilities are rather old and run down. And frankly, they’ve got a problem with bird feces in the place, and much of it smells as a result.
But, attending at least one Texas-​Texas A&M game is a must for any Longhorn!

You cannot beat football games at Kyle Field. There is just nothing like it. The student section of course is the best but be ready to stand the whole game! I love driving back to College Station on Hwy 6 and seeing Kyle Field in the distance. Of course the Aggie Football games are held here but you cannot forget about Midnight yell the night before a home game. Its so much fun to hear the yell leaders stories and see the little fish corp boys trying to get dates with signs and/​or tikki torches. For all you non-​ags, at the end of yell practice the lights go off and you kiss your date. If you didn’t bring a date you bring a lighter and when the lights go off you light it. Some people get a little creative and bring other larger flames to attract someone from the opposite sex.
Football games are magical. All us Ags have learned all the yells (not cheers) so we are coordinated in our efforts to cheer on our Aggies and be the 12^th man.
I hope everyone gets a chance to go to an Aggie football game, words just do not do them justice.
