Brisket was moist and I really enjoyed the coleslaw. The jalapeño sausage was great also. If you order the sausage just know that a whole is actually two sausages cut in half.

Not every Rudy’s has the same moist briskets. This one has been consistent in serving moist briskets whenever I visit. As for their baby back ribs, the meat does fall off the bones, but the seasoning can be too salty. It’s always a shame when the seasoning overpowers the flavor of the smoked meat.

My husband and I were heading back to Houston and stopped in here because it is one of our favorites back home. The food was not hot, it was room temp. The staff were walking around in the back like they didn’t know what to do. Just not overall good service compared to some of the other Rudy’s. Won’t be back for sure.

I live in California but every time I make a trip to Texas I cannot wait to eat at Rudy’s. I like my Brisket lean and these guys know how it’s done. Pair it with some of their sauce for sissies and the manly sauce whatever its called and you have a mean meal ! I put on about 5 pounds every time I make a trip to college station for work. Can’t wait to eat here again.

Review is for breakfast… If you like mildly spicy food, the jalepeno sausage they use in their breakfast tacos(they grind/chop it up — or maybe you are just getting the meat without the casing) is good. A bit on the greasy/messy side — but that’s part of what makes it good. Their sausage wraps are also simple and good with some sauce. What tops it off is the reasonable price. 3 item breakfast tacos for $ 1.95 — nice! So if you want good, freshly assembled breakfast tacos at a reasonable price — give them a shot. I have several go-to breakfast stops in Bryan/College Station — Rudy’s is definitely in my top three list for taste, convenience and price.

As always, my favorite«chain» BBQ, brisket is always good and consistent if you prefer the same great taste with no surpirses… I choose the«cutters choice» which gives you alittle of both or in middle of moist and lean. My son love the Turkey, he asked for more! Ruby’s is always good, never had a bad meal at any of them, well done again!

I’d been to a Rudy’s in Austin so when I saw there was one in College Station, I knew I had to stop in. The atmosphere is fantastic and the food is very good. I had a brisket sandwich and green chili stew. I really enjoyed both. There are plenty of great menu options and the ordering format is as quick and away as any fast food chain. What’s not to love?

I picked up some ribs to go today and they had very good flavor but we’re not very tender. This is unusual for Rudys. They and normally very tender. Will try again at another location.

My recent visit to this Rudy’s location was predictable — that’s one of the benefits of Rudy’s(sort of the Starbucks of BBQ) — with one exception. My brisket had a bit of an off flavor to it, though I couldn’t put my finger on it – disappointing considering their usual consistency. The jalapeño sausage was outstanding, with a nicely seared exterior and a juicy, flavorful middle. I’ve had better results at this location in the past, so I won’t knock them for one issue.

This is good old fashioned Texas BBQ. We had heard that while Rudy’s can be found throughout Texas, College Station was the birthplace of this Texas BBQ tradition. We decided that we needed to try it while we were here. When you walk in you know that you are in for a real Texas dining experience. You can smell the smoke in the error and you start through the line by walking by the beer trough. The menu has the meet choices with prices by weight, and a large selection of sides to go with. We were not very hungry because of a late lunch so we got a half pound of Brisket and a full length of the original sausage. For sides we got some new potatoes and three bean salad. The meat is all cut to order. The slicers pull it directly out of the pit and then slide the desired amount, serving it on sheets of butcher paper. The brisket comes in either«moist» or «lean». We got the lean and it was tender and delicious. There was really no fat to pick around and it was very flavorful. The sausage was probably the better of the two meats and had a delicious flavor and was not greasy at all. The casing snapped as you went to cut the sausage and it was cooked perfectly. The sides were great, but when you order the new potatoes and they ask if you want butter, know that means that they are going to pull your portion and put them in a Styrofoam cup, then ladle in melted butter until they are literally swimming in the butter. The three bean salad tasted great, but I do not think that it was any different than what you would get at any deli. Finally the sauces. There were two great sauces available at the table. Be sure to sample both of them. The original sauce has a nice kick to it, while the sauce of «sissys» is a little milder. I ended up using the hotter sauce for my brisket and the milder sauce for my sausage and I enjoyed the combination of flavors. The staff was not overly friendly and is what is resulting in the three star rating instead of higher, but if you are looking for some good Texas BBQ Rudy’s is worth a stop.

I love Rudys in aggieland. My fav spot !!! The breakfast tacos are great and you can’t go wrong with anything else on the menu. Was was kind of turned off by the fact that many times I have been allowed to bring my dog… Not today I guess. Bummer.

Everytime I come to this Rudy’s, I’m never disappointed. Their cream corn is always to die for, as well as their moist brisket. If you’re trying out Rudys for the first time and you also tend to have a sweet tooth, go for one of the puddings — either the banana pudding or the chocolate pudding — trust me, you’ll get your sweet fix. The atmosphere is also very casual and easy to dine in whether you’re dining alone or with others. Waitstaff and cashiers are pretty outgoing and always happy to serve.
